Today I stopped Panera bread for lunch. And once again disappointment. I order the broccoli cheddar soup and sandwich. The soup was sitting in the window for 10 minutes and people were talking over it. Then when the order was ready the soup was very cold and the sandwich was soggy. The food at all Panera's is the same. I always enjoy it. But what I want to say is that this location has a great staff and recently I had an order from the app that , when I got to Panera to pick it up..didn't go through somehow...or it went to the wrong Panera. At any rate the manager, Andrea...quickly figured out what to do, made me a new order very quickly and made me feel so much better. This is great service. I had food delivered to my job where I'm a home health aid so I order a strawberry poppy chicken salad with a Large Fuji Apple Cranberry with caffein only my salad came and my bread had bite marks on it! I have never been disappointed by the food at this location and have received my order quickly. I almost always get the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad with Chicken Tortellini. The salad is always fresh. They give me extra bread and butter upon request. I used to come here at least once per week but since they discontinued the Carrot Cake cupcake, I have slowed down on my trips here. This place is a disaster. I have spent a lot of money with Panera this year, buying lunches for business meetings with school district administrators. Never again. Their complete lack of any business acumen and ethics should put them out of business. I ordered lunch for 30 online yesterday to be delivered no later than 11:15 this morning to a school in Far Rockaway. At 11:15, with no lunch having arrived, I called. I was told the driver had just left and would be there as soon as possible. Their place is 20-30 minutes away from the school. I had all those people expecting to eat at 11:15 and I had nothing. What should have happened is that when they realized my food was going to be late, I should have been called, like when it was 11:15 and the driver hadn't left yet. Instead, they hoped I wouldn't call. Then, a few minutes later I get a call from the driver telling me they were running late. I said tell me something I don't know. The driver couldn't care at all. At 11:45 I called the driver. I was told they had dropped the food at the main office. I asked why they didn't bring the food upstairs to my meeting. After all, Panera charges a $40 delivery fee, the least I can expect is for the food to be delivered to the correct room. The driver says they had another delivery. Thankfully, just then, someone from the office brought the food to our meeting room. I have learned my lesson about doing business with Panera. If anyone does a catering order from this place, they had better make sure when they place the order, they designate a delivery time an hour before they actually need their food. Because they can't get it done right and on time. And they just don't give a damn. It is now 5:40 and an update. A Panera District Manager just called me. First thing out of his mouth was a lie. He said the driver was late because they were stuck in traffic. I stopped him right there and told him not to try and BS me. I told him that I called at 11:15, when the lunch was supposed to be there, and was told the driver was just leaving. He then said that's not what he was told. And there you go. That just reinforces the complete and total lack of ethics and professionalism from Panera. Order from this bunch of rubes at your own risk. read more

Was pretty surprised since last time I was here it was typical fast food. But now it's totally different, it's more cheerful and cozy. Plus menu variety and assortment is pretty impressive. They have so many salads sandwiches and soups that will blow your mind. Also they have breakfast and freshly baked goodies such as danishes, croissants, muffins, cookies, square cakes and etc. Of course they are absolutely famous with their freshly baked bread and roles. My favorite is raisin bread, it's absolutely delicious, taste and smell just like a your grandma kitchen. Few things that I feel in love with were -you can place your order on a dash board computer screen -you can order half portion like half soup with half sandwich and have both of this world and not feeling staffed and that's exactly what I did! I order half portion squash soup with half portion turkey sandwich. They have a lot of seating areas private ones and a wide open as well. You can see high school kids hung out here sharing their sandwiches and half a dozen ladies seating next to the window, playing cards and enjoying their coffee with sweets. Chose the Pick Two (1/2 Salad & 1/2 sandwich) and ordered two Signature Items of the menu. Chopped Chicken Cobb Bacon Turkey Bravo. The Chopped Chicken Cobb. The lettuce was fresh. It had corn, black beans other healthy things floating around in there which added to the salad. The chicken was tender, not to thinly sliced and had a nice flavor. I think it was Russian dressing that came with the salad; some orange creamy stuff. Super Good. Enjoyed it. Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich. Soft Bread. Fresh Lettuce and Tomato with Good Bacon and Turkey in between. Enjoyed. They actually prepared a Full salad instead of the Half by mistake and let me keep the full salad. Nice! There was also a mix-up between getting a regular lemonade and frozen lemonade and they let us keep the regular lemonade and prepared the frozen one at no extra cost. Nice times two! I am a monthly coffee member and stop 3 times a day to get coffee. I like the coffee served at Panera very much. I have been to many different Paneras. The service varies from Panera to Panera, thus, training and supervision is essential. I had the worst experience today in the morning at this Panera. I ordered my coffee and discounted pastry from the tablet. As I waited for my order to be fulfilled, I noticed several incidents of poor order management as the staff completing the orders made several mistakes caught by customers and staff themselves. I waited approximately 10 minutes for the empty cup of coffee and the pastry. My order showed on the screen as completed. I asked the staff where I could pick the order and they asked my information...I just asked them to give me my large size cup for my coffee and the pastry. They gave me the cup and told me to go to the pastry counter near the register to get the pre-ordered pastry. The gentleman behind the register could not help me out as he had bags and searching for a customer in the dining area. As he returns, I'm standing by watching him put away bottkes of water in the refrigerated case, totally ignoring me. I asked what I needed to do to get my pastry, and once again, he started entering it in the register. I told him I had ordered it with the tablet approximately 15 minutes ago. He told me that his job is to place orders with the register. Annoyingly, I asked him to just give me the pastry .... he complained about my demeanor. I finally came to "Panera Bread." I've been there in the past once or twice, but I wasn't Yelping yet. I came here with my group. They were starving and I was buying, so trust me they were eating. The parking is great here and the place was busy. I loved the look of the place, modern, clean and organized. The staff was friendly, really friendly. They don't hesitate to ask what you need. Everything looks so fresh and the items on the menu look delicious. It was hard to decide what I wanted. The cashier and my group laughed because I had to make such a tough decision. The mac and cheese was definitely one that was coming to the table. I finally settled with a panini, you just can't go wrong with a panini. Once the food came out we all sat down to eat. Everyone at the table loved there meal. But they say food taste better when it's free, maybe that's why it was so good? Well once I bit down on my panini I know what the fuss was about. When I tell you that mac and cheese was good, believe me it was good. I even ate some out my girlfriends bowl. My mind was blow away by the taste and cheese (Did I ever mention I love CHEESE). "Panera Bread" was better then I remembered. Only negative was it's a bit pricey, but other then that you have a winner. I would definitely come back with a group and enjoy again. I love Panera Bread as a organization. But, the Lawrence, NY location is the worst I've ever been to. It's unfortunately the closest to my home. I always do rapid pick up orders. It never fails that something is always amiss. It's either they put the wrong dressing with the salad you order, or an ingredient is missing. Sometimes I've even gotten something I didn't order, and had to go back. This site has a moderate flow of clientele, but not so much that so many mistakes are made. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled today. I did my usual rapid pick order. Just to get home, and find my figi chicken apple salad, had no chicken. Isn't that one of the main ingredients? Right now we're in a heat wave, and no wants to get home, just to leave again because a careless restaurant messed up their order. Hence, I will just consume my chicken less salad! The Lawrence site is giving Panera Bread a bad rep with their poor customer service. read more

It was my first time having Panera. Nice & clean. When I walked in an employee greeted me. Ordered a full chicken caesar salad. I feel like it could've used a little bit more salad dressing. The cardboard box it came it was a little weird. For the life of me I still don't understand why people spell my name wrong. This day it was spelt "RONDAH" Um, why? The employees preparing the food was talking about something inappropriate and they were loud. "I don't ask for a ride, she offers so she don't gotta act like that..." This place gets busy during lunch but it's very spacious in here but you'll definitely have a place to sit if you wish to sit and enjoy your meal. I normally order the pick 2 with the turkey bravo sandwich, chicken and wild rice soup and a large green tea iced tea. This sandwich is delicious! A must have especially with that green tea iced tea. A staff worker, Jacob saw I had my hands full and came around and helped me to a seat and brought over a high chair and cleaned the table off. I thought that was superb service. I really like Panera, its my type of fast food. It is fresh, semi-healthy if you choose the right things and a pretty good variety. The set up is like most Paneras but again for NY standards I am shocked at how clean and friendly the workers are. It is located in Lawrence, the 5 towns area in a pretty decent shopping center, where Burlington and Marshals are at. Therefore, the parking lot is generous. I really appreciate the self service kiosk, it makes lines move by fast and I'm impressed how the staff are able to manage with double work which is amazing, even in the busiest lunch hours! This Panera is clean, well stocked and inviting. It can get a little stuffy during lunch but they are quick to clean up. Panera's menu is Panera's menu. It doesn't really change that often and what can I say? I'm a sucker for the half soup and half salad deal. I also like the blood orange lemonade. Overall?
