Ordered food. It was delivered to wrong address. When delivery guy realized it was wrong address he hung up on me. When I tried him back he pretended he had no idea who I was. I had to go to the store to pickup my food. The manager was nice but when I asked to have the delivery charge removed he said he couldn't. Panera Bread has to be the most poorly managed restaurant group here in the desert. I met my wife in Palm Springs for dinner, she has a 30 min lunch break. There is s line out the door we happened to be 2nd in line so we figured we had time. They only have one register open and the people in front of us apparently have never dined out and took forever to order. This is when a manager should jump on a register and help through the rush. I ordered the Broccoli Cheese Soup which is the only thing I can stomach at this shithole. They were out? So I didn't eat. My wife ordered a salad and we sat down. My wife never got her food and we left A week later I visited your La Quinta location and ordered the broccoli cheese soup and a drink from your kiosk. I get moving locations is hard; but WOW, when I say I had the worst experience today, I mean it. I've been yelled at by staff at other places, and I've been left on hold and hung up on at even more; but still that does not compare today. I'm sure the staff is lovely; but apparently the management wants to make sure that the new location has to close because they really do NOT want to be in the business of operating a restaurant. There is nothing on the app telling you there has been a change of location, nor any GPS updates to direct you to the new place either. If you stay on hold for 2:00 whole minutes, you'll be able to listen to 5 options which will connect you with someone working, however it really doesn't. After hearing the phone ring for 10 minutes, I decide to look around at the old location to see where I'm meant to go. I see a poster! Nice! Except it's behind 2 sets of locked doors, with the tiniest directions ever into the new location. I have better than perfect vision, I've never needed glasses; but apparently you have to be Superman himself to see where exactly you're supposed to go from there. After driving roadside for 5 minutes, I pull in to the right location, and grab my cold food from the pickup. I didn't talk to the staff- my bad day does not mean they deserve to be treated badly, however I do want to say they were very pleasant. If you would like a timely meal at the location you've always picked up from (or at the very least some directions to the new place) do not order from here. Pretty good place for lunch with plenty of options. When you first walk in there is usually a long line. My favorite thing is the kiosks you can self order on. Nobody uses them and you can order very quickly. I ordered the turkey avocado BLT with a side of fruit. The sandwich itself was very good, the fruit bowl was a extra dollar. The fruit bowl I was disappointed with. The pineapple in it was old. The rest of the fruit was very good and fresh though. The tables inside were pretty dirty with food all over. They are usually quite clean but they were not doing a good job wiping the tables down during the lunch rush. Combination of that with the fruit prevented me from dropping the 5 star rating. The total for my lunch came out to about $11 rounding up the change, so a little more expensive then your average quick lunch. read more

Ugh.. This is the worst Panera Bread I've been to.. I came here just to enjoy some independent time with a good book (Hunger Games) and a good breakfast because I know Panera's food is good and slightly on the healthy side. The moment I step in, I'm next in line. The girls behind the register never smile or look up to greet me like I'm used to at other Panera Bread locations. When one of them calls for the next in line, she almost scowls when she sees me.. Do I look that scary? I ask for the power breakfast, since it's the first thing off the menu and I don't want bagels or anything sweet. I'm given my receipt and a pager marked 26. I find a seat near the kitchen, and there are waiters walking by my table every so often to serve food to other parties. I literally wait there 10 minutes (trying to keep busy with my book), and there's one guy that passed by my table 5-6 times. He never asks me what I'm waiting for even though the only thing on my table is my pager. After 15 minutes, I walk up to the manager so she could check on my order. She notices that I've been waiting 16 minutes and asks for the girls in the back to "make it real fast". The girl in the back says there is no order for #26. The manager asks me what I ordered, and she repeats it to the girl in the back. The manager does not apologize that it's taking so long or that they lost my order, and she doesn't even care that I'm still standing there waiting. She's busy going back to worrying about other orders. Since I'm a manager myself, I'm appalled at her customer service. I would have liked a simple, "We will work on your order ASAP. You can have a seat and we'll bring it to you." When she brings my plate out 5 minutes later, she still doesn't apologize. What's worse, my plate looks like someone just finished eating off of it. There were streaks of green avocado smeared on the plate and leftovers crusted on my fork. Although I was so hungry earlier, I lost my appetite and wished I cooked my own breakfast instead.. Our Sunday morning check out time was bright and early at 10am. And not planning on getting to Coachella until 2pm, we hoped in the car in search for a CBTL. After leaving the CB very disappointed by the lack of snacks, we ventured across the parking lot to this Panera Bread for some tasty bagels. The line was quite long when we got inside, with only one cashier, because the bake timers were going off, and drinks orders needed to be filled, so all the other employees were busy taking care of other things, but soon enough, I had my hands on a tasty Asiago bagel with cream cheese. I was a bit turned off by the fact that I paid $1.40 for a tiny thing of cream cheese, but it was all worth it when I took my first bite of, lets say, the best bagel that I have ever had in my life. I eat here on a regular basis, both in house and take out (LOVE the new Rapid Pick-up!). Most days it's busy, but I usually eat later, like 2 or 3:00 for lunch. Reviewing the new drive-through location: I placed an order (sandwich and Mac and Cheese) inside the restaurant and waited by the digital board that shows the status of your order. It was lunchtime and busy. After a while, I finally saw my name at the top of the board. The employee who took my order walked over to the pick-up area and called out my name. She told me, "They're out of Mac and Cheese." She named another employee and said, "She helped you, didn't she?" I said, " No, YOU helped me." She replied, "Oh, it was me?" as I showed her my receipt. I then told her I wanted a refund for the Mac and Cheese" and she said, "Would you like some soup?" I told her again I wanted a refund. I then watched as she asked several employees about a refund. Finally, a manager (who was professional and apologized) gave me a refund. Two complaints: 1) I should not have allowed to order an item that was not available. 2) The employee trying to blame it on another employee is not cool. Regarding the seating arrangements: It is an open space with several rows of tables and chairs lined up next to each other. Good food. Of course the breads are great, but you have to try their breakfast sandwiches. If you're going for lunch, be prepared for long lines. The crew seems to have one speed so they aren't much help expediting the line. In the end, it's worth the wait. Their broccoli cheddar soup is amazing. On this last experience we actually had someone come to our table and clear our dishes. Not a big deal, but it's not a full service place and they've never done that before. I immediately saw trash on the floor as I walked in and thought maybe they were cleaning but as I looked for a table, I noticed the rest of the restaurant had trash thrown and crumbs everywhere as if it had not been vacuumed in a long time. I highly dislike this location and try to avoid it if at all possible. My last 2 experiences there have been beyond horrible. From an incredibly rude employee that just walked away in the middle of me ordering, to a to-go order being completely wrong. I called to let them know they gave me a grilled cheese instead of a frontega chicken panini (not sure how that even happened) and spoke with manager named Daniel. He said he would put my name on a list so I could get my meal replaced. It's been a month and I finally got back that way and decided to call to see if I could take him up on his word. I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes while they tried to find the right "Daniel ". Apparently there are 2! After speaking with a woman and then the "wrong" Daniel, he was going to put me back on hold to go track down the other Daniel. I told him this was taking way too long and is way more of a problem then it should be and to just forget it. My God! I was also offered a free meal (that I never even tried to retrieve) after the cashier just took off while I was ordering. She had a major attitude issue and when I reported her to management they knew exactly who I was talking about. I had no intention of returning after that but my daughter did and she ordered my food to go for me, and thats when we got the wrong items. This is the only location I ever have issues at.
