WATCH OUT for metal pieces in smoothies!!!! I ordered a blueberry smoothie today and there was a small jagged piece of metal in it. I almost swallowed it and was pretty freaked out. It definitely would have cut my throat or stomach potentially causing internal bleeding. read more

Panera Bread - The jagged metal ball found in a Panera smoothie. Ouch it hurt my tooth! - Sandwiches Near Me - Kenosha, Wisconsin

Paneras are all pretty similar. I can usually depend on the food to be fresh and made correctly. This location is newly renovated and it's really nice inside. I've never had a problem with my food here or the service. I do think the food is a little overpriced but that isn't the individual location's fault. read more

Let's see first get rid of the only sandwich and soup I actually liked, so ok decided to try something else. Yeah then my panini gets burned worst place possible to eat. Will never return read more

Panera Bread - Burnt Steak and cheese panini - Sandwiches Near Me - Kenosha, Wisconsin

I have been to Panera Bread restaurants in probably 10+ different states. It is generally a very predictable place to eat. The Pleasant Prairie/Kenosha location is probably the worst I have visited. I have tried this location several times. It is close to my house and I am a healthy eater and Panera has a few different healthy options. In my visits I have received the wrong to-go order at least twice. Once I was 2 miles down the road when I realized I had the wrong soup. I have found barely warm coffee several times. When I asked if they could brew fresh, they were resistant and I just moved on. I love Panera's egg white sandwiches and I don't think I have gotten one that was done correctly at this location...ingredients missing, eggs not hot, etc. But with all of this, the most frustrating thing about this location is the attitude of the staff. They are just plain unfriendly and unconcerned. Rarely are you greeted with a smile and rarely do you receive a thank you. The bottom line is that this store is poorly managed and its staff undertrained. I have stopped visiting this location all together. read more

The prices have gotten quite high and the quality of the food and portions have not changed. We use to go there much more often a few years back than we do now. read more

Ok food, rediculous prices and small portions. Seemed like they were over doing the atmosphere and forgot about the customers. Messed up drink orders and we only had 2 drinks. read more

No more French Onion soup!!!! Have you lost your mind!!! Portions decent for once. However, froze our butts off...why is the air conditioning blaring in October? Also, nothing more frustrating than needing a table at noon on a Sunday to see every booth occupied by some old lady reading a book or single executive working on a computer. So here we split up at a couple 2top tables....come on people...go to a library or Barnes and Noble especially if your not eating read more

The food tastes good, but everytime I've ordered a salad to go for lunch, they've completely failed to provide dressing. I've even requested extra dressing at ordering in an attempt to help them avoid this mistake. If I ever decide to give them yet another chance, I'll remember to check my order thoroughly before I leave. Hard to get back to work and eat a dry salad. read more

Panera is one of my favorite places to eat. However, the dining in experience is awful. I typically go through the drive-thru or order ahead of time for pickup. Several times I've ordered from the kiosk or directly from my table. Each time my order arrived to my table incomplete. I was always missing something. One time I walked up to the counter and asked for my baked good and was informed they were out. I find it a little odd how they didn't mention it when bringing my food out to me. I paid for the item and because you are out I get nothing? Didn't even offer me something else? Several other times the drink I ordered never arrived. Maybe it's a learning process but please let's make ordering this way successful for the convenience for your customers! read more

The food is good as it has been for years, no fault there. But it's way overpriced and they recently shrunk portions by at least 10-15%. We have a family of 5 and spent $50... FIFTY AMERICAN DOLLARS for soup, bread and soda!!! My wife was the only one satisfied with the portion. And for that money, you have to fight for a dirty table, serve yourself, and are expected to bus your own table when you're done. I also don't like having a 16 year old trying to upsell me 2-3 times for each entree I order. We will NOT be coming back. Chili's next door, Applebee's across the street, and a Subway in 3 different directions are better values. read more

Definitely one of the worst panera's in the area. They constantly mess up orders, their attitudes aren't pleasant and they're extremely slow. read more

Great service at this Kenosha location! We use them often for catering for work luncheons. Consistent food quality. Can't beat their salads, soups and sandwiches. read more

My major issue with Panera is...WTF was corporate thinking putting the calories and fat grams on the menus!!? Yes, on the large menus inside the restaurant. For one, it makes it confusing because there are sooooo many numbers. And two, I'm there to get my soup in a bread bowl because it's an indulgence and I DON'T WANT TO KNOW the fat/cals!!! If people want to know, they should have a nutritional guide handy at the register. Pisses me off. Don't ruin it for the rest of us who want to indulge. Boo Panera!!! read more

Food was good, the booth my daughter and I sat at the floor was filthy. There was so many workers there, I figured someone would atleast clean up the floors. Not just my table but all over. read more

Soup, salad & delicious treats! How can you go wrong. Love how it's healthy fast food that is served directly to your table with a wait staff willing to help you in any way. Sat here this evening watching multiple staff members cleaning. Love to see that. read more

I typically enjoy some of the items on Panera's menu and love their coffee. But I have to complain about their promo and app to order pick up from your smart phone. They offered a $5.00 coupon to use it for the first time. The app worked ok...room for improvement. When I tries to place my order and check out it wouldn't allow me to enter my phone number. Very irritating! And I tried it a couple of times starting. Very annoying Panera! read more

Got the Asiago steak sandwhich and it was poorly put together. A few miniscule pieces of meat and the whole thing was so dry I almost choked to death. Ask for extra horseradish sauce, or make sure you are sitting close to someone that knows the heimlich maneuver. read more

Ordered food for delivery. They did not send me my soup in the order. I called them and spoke to a manager and said that I would like to be reimbursed for the soup since I didn't get it and had paid for it. She said "Oh we'll send you some coupons in the mail"...and I'm not even sure that she apologized. If she did, it was a pathetic apology as I don't even remember it. What did I get in the mail? A coupon for a free beverage on them. Is this a joke? How about you should have just given me my money back for the soup. Poor, poor management. read more

Their food overall is pretty tasty, no complaints about that. The servers at the bakery seem a tad rude, but that's not really what I'm concerned about either. I really just wish it wasn't so horribly unhealthy while seeming like such a great place to find food that is somewhat okay for you. It's pretty gross actually. I didn't exactly expect it to be great for me, as it is more or less a fast food chain, but some of its food surpasses even that of a Big Mac. Disgusting. read more

Called tonight to order two salads, they don't take orders over the phone. They have a drive thru, why not. Very disappointed, now I know why older people don't like all the inconsistency. Looking for a different restaurant. We frequent the Panera's on 75th St. What a shame. read more

Never a great experience at any of their locations I have ever been into. It all just seems over hyped. Hate the kiosks, a real pain in the rear. So much of it is now self service you would think it would be cheaper to serve myself. read more

This is good place to grab a sandwich & soup meal. The bakery is great too. One complaint.....the tulip or flip flop cookies now have a lemon flavoring. They were much better plain. read more

No employees to take your order. Cold and impersonal. For three of us lunch was $30 and the portions were small and the sandwich hardly had ingredients on it. We couldn't even get ice cubes for our drink. We found an employee and asked for ice cubes, but someone didn't refill the machine till the end of our meal. Restaurant was not busy at all and service was non existent. There are way better places to eat close by like Milwaukee Burgers! You must try that place! read more

Please, please wash down your tables between customers. It is rare to see anyone washing the tables at all. That is disgusting and a health code violation. I HATE meeting people there. How many people have eaten at your table before you came???? YUK! read more

I must say that today, most people watch the clock and don't care about their job - this fits the Kenosha, WI Panera Bread perfectly. As I was enjoying my coffee and scone, I noticed crumbs, heavy layers of dust and coffee stains under the coffee dispensing table. Then I noticed on the shelf above the floor, a microwave oven completely covered with a heavy layer of dust & grease, 'finger jam' on the microwave handle, and thick layer of dust, grease and crumbs under the microwave oven. I politely requested to see the Manager. When he came out, I smiled, stated my full name, extended my hand to shake his. He shook my hand and said, without smiling or even in a pleasant tone "What do you want?" I asked if he would follow me to my table. "Why?" he said immediately, "Because I want you to see what I have to show you from the customer's viewpoint". I said. "Is this a joke? Why?" he questions me in an apprehensive tone of voice. I pulled out a chair for him to sit, when seated I show him all the FILTH that anyone can plainly see. I ask him "Why is this restaurant so dirty?" His answer with an aggressive tone is, "We're a busy place here, sometimes we don't get to all we need to around here!" I said it was reprehensible for any public eating place to be this FILTHY. He got up, shoved in the chair and replied, "Well, we'll have it looked into." and walked away! No, "I'm sorry", "I agree", "This is terrible", "I'll have it cleaned right now"... No, "Thank you for telling me" and no, "Good bye". Dirt and Filth I will not accept in an eating place and neither should anyone else. I notice these things because I was raised to take care of myself and my own environment... I don't eat in a FILTHY kitchen or have a FILTHY home! The problem at this "Store/Restaurant" is definitely at the Management level, simply because of the Manager's indignant attitude towards a viable health situation that I respectfully proved to him, needed serious attention. read more

So this is not a crack at the franchise, but at this location itself. This Panera is slow, dirty, and the food is not good. Last time we came here it was disgustingly dirty, nothing was stocked, the food tasted off, and my boyfriends broccoli and cheddar soup went from creamy and thick to thin like a broth within minutes of getting it. His bread to dip in the soup was hard and stale. So because of that we would only go to the RACINE location since we've only had good experiences there. We came here today because we are from Kenosha and would not be out in Racine and we were both really hungry. Today my soup tastes off, both my sandwich bread (tomato basil) and my soup bread was stale. On top of it, the place was still disgusting and I found a longish black hair in my soup! I know it's not mine because mine is longer and blond. Needless to say I don't care where we are at, where we are going, or how hungry we are, we will not be coming back to this location! read more

Baked goods are very tasty but high priced. At one point this summer a young man working there wouold always charge an additional .25 cents or so to whatever pastry I would choose. When questioned about "his" price and the posted price he just said the price had gone up but no one changed the posted price. Never saw an adult supervisor-type. I stayed away until this fall. The young man appears to no longer work there. I agree about the dirty tables. Gross. It's not rocket science - hire a developmentally-challenged young adult to just clear and wipe off the tables. A real win-win situation. read more

Just stopped in for a to go order. 8PM 11/7. Pretty basic order. 1/2 Chicken Caesar Salad (charged for Chicken), 1/2 potato soup and bowl of Broccoli Cheese. Didn't get Chicken or Caesar dressing, and the Broccoli Cheese had a weird after taste. Kind of like it's been sitting for quite awhile. Potato soup is what keeps the rating at a 2. Not worth the money. Go to Potbelly down the street instead. read more

Absolutely outstanding customer service. I ordered breakfast for my coworkers and myself this morning. One of the orders was wrong (nuts in an oatmeal for a person with an allergy to them). Thank you Alex!!! read more

I am a frequent customer at Panera as I think they have great healthier options. Normally I have a decent experience but the last three times I've went to this location my order has been wrong. The first time I ordered a salad there was no chicken on it when I got home. Second time, I ordered a box of bagels and then was told they didn't have cream cheese. My last experience they messed up my salad not once but twice. The first salad was not an actual salad I asked for. It was a combination of different salads. There was multiple, random ingredients thrown together. I brought this to cashier and they apologized and made me a new salad. Unfortunately the new salad was still wrong.. I walked out to only walk back in. I explained this to the manager and they added the toppings that were suppose to be on it. While I do enjoy Panera, I will not be going back to that location and will go elsewhere to avoid the headaches of wrong orders. read more

Ordered a $30 catering order several days in advance. Picked it up, got to the meeting I was hosting and discovered the cream cheese was not included as ordered. I called and asked to have it delivered to the meeting site which was 10 mins from the store since the meeting was starting and I couldn't leave. After a long time on hold I was told they were "too busy and too short-handed" to fix their error. Yes, I was expected to serve the participants a dozen dry bagels. I understand mistakes can occur. I can't understand the refusal to rectify the error when given an opportunity. Never again Panera. read more

Worst Panera Ever. Consistent reviews of this location running out of primary items such as bread and bread bowls, should have tipped me off, but I kept trying. I have been here FIVE times now all prior to 9:30am in an attempt to get a Soufflee. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. they say they are out of the soufflees. I have never had that happen so consistently at any other Panera. Today it happened again and I almost never leave negative reviews for any businesses but I had to for this one. Whoever is the management here is awful and can't keep a consistent offering of menu items. If soufflees or any menu item can't be consistently ordered then just take it off the menu all together. I'd rather be told a product is indefinitely discontinued than be told it is available until 10 or 10:30 am with all the other breakfast items. I left, I've left every time they were out. I don't just stay and order other items so they can get the business without having to live up to the menu. I go spend my money somewhere else. I finally gave up today and decided I'll never try the Kenosha Panera again. For anything. read more
