Both were just $1.25 each and absolutely hit the spot. The bakery also offers kringles, eclairs, donut twists, loaves of bread, cakes, and a small selection of drinks. It shares a parking lot with a strip center, so there's plenty of parking available. The staff were friendly and helpful, patiently answering all my questions about their donut offerings since it was my first time visiting. Overall, a charming, old-school bakery that's worth a stop for anyone with a sweet tooth.

The restaurant itself is so cute inside and has such a warm, cozy, homey feel. Everyone is always incredibly nice whenever we come in. I usually order to-go, and since I'm often there with my kids, I'll place the order and then go back outside to wait in the car. Every single time, without me even asking, they bring my coffee out to me while I wait. Then, as soon as the food is ready, they bring that out too. It's such a small thing, but those little touches really make a difference. They genuinely take care of their customers, and it makes every visit such a great experience. We commonly get the French toast breakfast sandwich, bagel breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes. We've also tried the brisket sandwich, BLT, and cheeseburger -- and everything has been delicious and made fresh. One thing that really stands out to me is the bread. You can completely ruin a sandwich with bad bread, but they always get it right! Highly recommend giving this place a try -- it's definitely become one of our favorites!

We did a taste test between O&H pecan kringle versus Bendtsen's. They both had different qualities so there wasn't a clear winner. Bendtsen's is flakier and drier than O&H with larger pecans. O&H had more moisture, smaller pecan pieces and a sweeter frosting. Bendtsen's also serves more traditional flavors and doesn't make a Tipsy Elf like O&H which BTW is delicious. They are within a couple of miles of each other so next time you're in Racine it's worth trying them both.

We could tell she was proud to work there. There were several flavor options left that weekend afternoon and it came highly recommended by my sister to try the spinach and cheese pastry. They've since expanded to numerous locations across the U.S. and even overseas. Their mascot is Ollie the Duck, who can be found on the sign and packaging. I learned a few things on my first visit. All the donuts are cake style donuts (as opposed to raised/yeast, which I tend to prefer) and they're made to order. The made to order is a pro and a con as you don't have to stress that they will sell out, but you might have to wait a bit for your order. Both peanut butter and cookies & cream are two of my favorite dessert flavors, as this donut includes both, it was a must try (especially because it was a seasonal offering). It comes drenched in peanut butter icing with OREO cookie pieces and a hot fudge drizzle. The body of the donut was heavy, dense, and pleasantly chewing with just the right amount of moistness and not too dry and cakey. Flavor was a sweet peanut butter, with plenty of chocolate. Unfortunately, I didn't detect much of the cream aspect from the OREO's because the peanut butter and chocolate were so strong. Texturally, the OREOs added a welcoming crunch though. It was messier than I prefer, but worth chomping down on. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My top doughnut shops: 1. Donut Bar (San Diego) 2. Pinkbox Doughnuts (Las Vegas) 3.
