Who doesn't love the aroma of fresher baked bread and pastries? This place smells AMAZING walking through the doors. The entrance does is not automatic, almost learned that the hard way .. lol. But the exit is.... and it makes sense as in sure many customers leave with their hands full. We went in to purchase the text raisin bread as it really is the best around and only place we've found it. But of course we cannot leave without some goodies as well. The staff is kind and fast. Full of information and provides that with a smile. If you are in Kenosha and haven't stopped in or just traveling through and looking for a hometown staple bakery, this is the place to visit.

If you like Italian bread, this is your place. They offer cookies and sweet treats. Locally owned and operated!

The people are SO sweet. Really lovely customer service. And locals LOVE this place. Like if you speak negatively about it to someone from Kenosha they will verbally assault you. I mean it's been open for 100 years. And maybe even 30 years ago even it was a quality product but now... The products are meh. The ingredients are such a disappointment. They sell bread, donuts, cookies. The bread is not crusty on the outside and soft on the inside like italian bread should be. It's just bread. So we can call this "midwest italian". You can get a better loaf of fresh Italian bread with fewer ingredients at fresh thyme. You can get better fresher donuts at pick n save. Two of the four donuts i had at 11am were not soft they were already a little stale. So yes people are loyal to this place like you wouldn't believe and locals will keep it running forever. But this is not a must see place. Especially if you're expecting a real italian bakery or real food ingredients...

I had shortlisted this place as a pitstop for our Kenosha trip. Paelli's is not exactly Instagram-hip, nor does it try to be. It's a traditional bakery with breads, cakes, and various pastries. I came for the donuts. I am the Donut Hunter, after all. I confirmed they use vegetable oil for frying, in case that's a concern for you. We got a cyclops donut, a custard-filled long john, and a pastry with chocolate filling. It was only $3 for the haul. I was really hoping the cyclops had cream filling, as I'm a sucker for cream-filled donuts. Alas, it was not. The cream is only on top. However, it was very good. The other two items were pretty good as well. Not a bad stop for a quick, affordable sweet treat.

Paielli's is one of our favorite local bakeries! While living in Wisconsin, it was our go to whenever in the Kenosha area. We have bought cakes, pies, and our all time favorite -the cyclops. We missed them so much that we made it our first stop after flying in from California. They have very kind employees and a large assortment of baked goods. If you're ever in the area, make sure to check them out and try a cyclops! You won't be disappointed.

Paielli's T-shirt, great price great shirts..

I went to Paielli's bakery and bought two nice T-shirts with writing on the front and the back at a very good price and very decent shirts. I was very impressed. It only cost $24 as opposed to going to a T-shirt place where I bought my own T-shirts and it cost me $43. I learned my lesson. I will never go to Ernie's T-shirts again Paielli's you rock!

If you're ever in Racine, you should really check out this bakery. Being a huge fan of O&H kringles…read moreI had to try theirs. Summer of 2025, QVC was in Racine filming for the Racine Kringle brand and the crew (my sister is a part of) made it a point to try all three in a taste test. Bendtsen's won! They are still handmade unlike their competition. It's a cute little shop and the lady working (not sure her name) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We could tell she was proud to work there. There were several flavor options left that weekend afternoon and it came highly recommended by my sister to try the spinach and cheese pastry. Ask for it warmed up, delicious!

Everyone knows Racine kringle which is the most famous but not even close to the best. This bakery…read moreis a throwback with old glass cases showcasing hand made kringle and other bakery delights. We did a taste test between O&H pecan kringle versus Bendtsen's. They both had different qualities so there wasn't a clear winner. Bendtsen's is flakier and drier than O&H with larger pecans. O&H had more moisture, smaller pecan pieces and a sweeter frosting. Bendtsen's also serves more traditional flavors and doesn't make a Tipsy Elf like O&H which BTW is delicious. They are within a couple of miles of each other so next time you're in Racine it's worth trying them both.

Bendtsen's Bakery - It's so quaint and reminds me of a store from years ago. Old floors etc like an old butcher.

Well, here we are again. Another birthday month and a big thank you to Ohlaf for the discount…read more I may have found my favorite Kringle flavor - Salted Caramel! I saw it as a new seasonal flavor that could be ordered for delivery right up until my birthday. The only problem I was running into was that my wife was giving up sweets again for Lent, which was starting before my birthday. Rather than saving her a frozen piece until Easter, or not sharing it with her at all, I scheduled it to be delivered today, a Friday, so we could enjoy it over this weekend. Now the only question is whether it will even make it to the weekend. I don't know how to explain how delicious it is other than to say the flavor of the chopped pecans on top along with a blended sprinkling of coarse salt and sugar are just an introduction to your palate in preparation for you to next enjoy the caramel filling oozing out of your warmed slice. Or should I say SLICES? You know you can't stop at just one. Oh, so good. I hope this new flavor will return for years to come.

This bakery has been using authentic family recipes that have been passed down for generations…read more From Denmark to Wisconsin O&H has been making scratch made pastries for 75 years. They make the official Wisconsin state pastry - The Kringle, a 36 layer oval pastry that takes days to make, I've had this & it's wonderful. For this occasion I ordered online & had delivered an Almond Custard Seven Sister Coffee Cake. The coffee cake was yummy. It's a classic Danish pastry made into seven rolls - rich, buttery & flaky with a smooth almond custard filling topped with a sweet glaze & almonds. From their website they say, " this coffee cake is named from a prominent constellation of stars that the Danish sailors used for seafaring navigation". The coffee cake made for a delicious breakfast & a great treat!
