New southwest chicken cobb salad.
Martin H.

We went up to have lunch with my sister who resides near the Southside of indianapolis and to shop at Costco. I wanted to try out the new salads at Panera Bread. I tried out the new southwest chicken salad. I enjoyed the salad and have enough for another meal. I also want to talk about the layout of the restaurant as a disabled person. The parking spaces are nicely placed around the outside of the restaurant. The ramp was added later. The asphalt ramp works well. I appreciate the Panera Bread app and how easy I was able to place an order.

A lot of people online say this is overpriced hospital food. I'd tend to agree with them in their cheaper items. Don't fall for the grilled cheese option, they shouldn't charge people money for that. I recently got the French dip and it was actually pretty good and very filling. The half is $9 and the whole is $13. You might as well get the whole and save some for later.

This location and the Avon location seem the same to me - a confusing layout for ordering. I like the Plainfield location much better where it is very obvious after walking through the front door where you go to order. After ordering, they called my name to pick up my food before I could get my change back into my wallet. That is fast service. Granted it was only a bowl of soup and no sandwich needed to be built but it was as if it was instantaneous. I ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup in a bowl. For an $8+ bowl of soup there wasn't much to it. The bowl was only half filled with the broth, no biggie I guess but after six spoonfuls, none of ingredients of chicken, noodles and veggies were left. I had much better chicken noodle soup at the other Panera's. Now what little of the soup there was tasted very good. I've had it before from Panera and that's why I ordered it. I wasn't disappointed in that regard. Another disappointment are their fountain soft drinks. Only one diet drink is offered and it's the old Diet Pepsi. There are none of the new Zero sugar soft drinks offered. Every major soft drink has come out with a Zero option but sadly 99% of restaurants are out of date with soft drink offerings.

I used to come to this location almost weekly. After today, I am never coming back. I also get the same order every week, and it's pretty unique so I know they recognize it. The attached is what I received today. This sandwich is already supposed to come with avocado. I asked for extra on top of that. What I got was 2 slices on the entire sandwich, and one was rotted, as you can see. I threw this BS away. Absolutely pathetic, and costed me $15. You guys suck.

Already going downhill...this was what my salad looked like today. The back prep area was incredibly dirty. Sad to see it go downhill so quickly. This lettuce should have been thrown away. Will not be ordering food anytime soon.

I used to frequent Panera pretty regularly, but have fallen off the wagon as far as eating there. On Sunday we decided to have a surprise sprinkle for one of my friends who is having her third child soon and Panera was decided upon as the meeting place. This location is down on the Southside amongst a ton of other stores. It is kept clean and looks standard to what other Panera models follow. I assume most people know the drill, you order at the counter and you are given a buzzer to indicate when your food is ready. Panera has a ton of options in the ways of eating. I get the you pick 2 option. I went with the French onion soup and I love this soup. It's actually the first thing I ever had at Panera, I just love the flavor of it. For my sandwich I got the turkey BLT and a side of the baguette. Delicious and I'm sure I'll make my way back to a Panera soon

What I got.. Garden Avo Toast

I was super excited to try the new Garden Avo Toast. Please look at the picture of what I was expecting vs what I got...

Panera is a sold lunch spot, especially if you are trying to escape the fried foods served at most fast food venues. We have been coming to this southside location for years. It could use and interior refreshing or remodel. The staff is friendly, and the food comes out of the kitchen area very efficiently. My favorite thing on the menu is their seasonal turkey chili but unfortunately, it was out of season during my visit, so I tried one of their new signature sandwiches instead. It's basically a fried, frozen and reheated chicken breast on a brioche bun with 4 nickel sized parmesan crisp and a minimal smattering of mayo and greens. I think it really lacked flavor and could use another helping of mayo. I would not order that sandwich again. My wife always gets the broccoli cheddar soup and she said it was great per usual. We will go back to Panera again soon and she will order the soup, but I'll try something else and report back.

Service was horrible. Older lady had an attitude for some reason and seemed to not be happy i wanted to order food. Place was pretty dirty.

I like everything except that new sandwich - toasted baguette. I tried the green goddess...soggy bread, fell apart, was not as pictured.

It is conveniently located on the 2nd floor of The InterContinental hotel. The host stand for the restaurant is located directly across from what appeared to be the guest check-in desk. It was a little confusing. Several of the items on the menu were very appealing, the B&B Omelet, Croque Monsieur, and Ribeye French Dip to name a few, but I opted for the Little Gem Caesar with Blackened Salmon. My husband ordered The Traveler with eggs over-medium. Everything was perfectly prepared. The proportions for the salad were just right and the salmon was juicy, flavorful and crisp from the blackening. My husband wasn't expecting the somewhat unique preparation of the breakfast potatoes, but I found them to be satisfyingly crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I also ordered the seasonal Strawberry Margarita with a sugar rim. It was light and refreshing. The atmosphere is very chic, stylish and feels very upscale. The dining room, and even the restrooms, boast this amazing natural light from all of the great, big windows! Our server, Roop, was kind and attentive and the hostess was warm and inviting. We will definitely return to try some of the other offerings in the future. Very cute brunch spot!

The design and ambience is very contemporary and a great place to dine in. I visited for dinner and I absolutely enjoyed my salad. I tried the Farro Bowl with Beets, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onion, Croutons, Sunflower Seeds, Minted Yogurt Sauce and I ordered a salmon for my protein. The salmon was grilled to perfection and was so flavorful. I wish there was a little more flavor in the salad. Also a little bit more yogurt sauce. It was tangy and really good. Daniel served and was so good to us!
