Lettuce that should have been thrown out!

When you order a salad why do employees include old, rotten, sad ass lettuce that should be thrown out? Do they really think we won't notice? Ordered two large Caesar salads. Both of them had yucky lettuce. By the time I picked through them, they were small salads. Not good, no matter how you slice it.

I tried this location for the first time. I would definitely be back and in-store was super clean. Staff was fun and they were very polite while taking to go order. I had to wait few minute extra, but still worth it. Broccoli cheddar soup is our fav. And we loved it. My salad was pretty nice and crunchy...

    Sandwich received

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich carry out. I chose this item based on the menu picture online. The sandwich had one / half a piece of soggy bacon . One small Egg and plastic cheese Totally unacceptable

Pepperoni and cheese is not what was ordered & a $8 credit for future order is ridiculous. Avoid all Panera locations

$40+ Ordered off app for dinner and was served poor quality, incorrect & shorted amount. Wish I saw these reviews of all CLT area locations before ordering and won't make the mistake again.

I was very impressed with this Panera. It has a very good feel to it. The decor is bright and neutral. (Yes I was the crazy woman taking pictures of the light fixtures with my iPad, ha!) Judy, who took my order, was very patient when my Panera Card wouldn't read and she had to reset it four times. I liked that it was asked if my daughter wanted the apple whole or sliced as her side. Her grilled cheese could have been a little more 'grilled' but she still liked it. The half modern quinoa salad came out well portioned! Very clean including the very pretty bathroom. I will stop here again!

Today I visited one of my favorite places for coffee, soup, sandwiches and pastries. One can have breakfast up to 10:30 am. All baked goods are fresh daily and day old baked goods donated to several charitable organizations. Typical Panera menu of varietal salads, sandwiches, varietal baked goods, cold and hot drinks, and a kids menu. Outdoor seating too as well as a drive through. Vegetarian choices as well. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Loved the Turkey chili and squash soup, green goddess cobb salad great, tuna salad just a tad vinegary . All in all yummy.

    Rotten salad leaves.

We ordered from the counter, Hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, both tasty, we split a spring roll, not great because vegetables not soft, some tasted raw. I ordered the flower chicken in white sauce and my dining mate had the chicken and shrimp in brown sauce. My chicken dish was like soup, when manager saw my soupy food he returned with a newly cooked one and did not charge me for either. .However the newly cooked flower chicken had no sauce in it at all. The chicken and shrimp dish in brown sauce was tasty as was the fried rice. We would come back and try something different on the menu. They werel out of chopsticks when we asked for them. The menu has lunch specials daily till 3pm

I was hopeful of having a good Chinese restaurant closer to home, but this isn't it. The wonton in…read moretheir wonton soup was very good, but the hot and sour soup needed rice vinegar in it - no sour to be found. Hot and sour soup is better at Tian Tian or China East (though pretty much everything else at China East is meh). Cashew chicken was in a fairly flavorless, runny sauce, and had a lot of mushrooms and water chestnuts in it, light on the chicken portion. Tian Tian's cashew chicken is miles better than this. Shrimp lo mein had small shrimp in it, and noodles were almost overcooked/soaked in the sauce, all stuck together in the to-go container. There should be some bounce/chew to the noodles, and generally cooked with enough oil to not stick together. To top it off, 2 of our 3 fortune cookies were missing fortunes in them and tasted burnt - the fortune cookies are from a brand out of Georgia I've never seen before. Don't think I'll be coming back here, unfortunately

Mr. Pollo is the kind of place that will pleasantly surprise you. From the moment you walk in,…read moreyou'll notice an impressive menu with plenty of options, but the real standouts are their soup and chicken. The soup is something special--rich, flavorful, and genuinely comforting. It's easy to see why regulars rave about how it feels almost "healing"; it's the perfect start to any meal. As for their chicken, it's juicy, perfectly seasoned, and always fresh. Whether you order a quarter, half, or whole, it's cooked just right and pairs well with classic sides like rice, beans, and plantains. Mr. Pollo does a great job balancing homestyle comfort with Latin American flair, making each bite memorable but not overcomplicated. What really makes Mr. Pollo worth visiting is not just the food, but the vibe. Service is warm and relaxed, and the atmosphere is unfussy--which is perfect when you just want good food without a lot of fanfare. If you're in the mood to try something new, the menu's got plenty of options, but even the basics are done really well. Whether it's a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner, Mr. Pollo hits the mark. Give it a try, especially if you want a meal that feels comforting and satisfying.

I am still thinking about it after a week. The Hot and Sour soup was not a win for me. The flavor was a bit off and not something I enjoyed. I have had others in the area a lot better than this one.

Decided to give this spot another try since it is so close to my house but spoiler alert,…read moreunfortunately it is no better than the last time I tried it which was when it first opened here in Blakeney a couple of years back. Checked out the specials and saw "Lunch special Buy any specialty roll and get one classic roll (from specified list) free", so I figured why not give this a shot. Not a ton of non-cooked specialty roll options which is understandable as most sushi places in the local area cater to the audience which apparently loves cooked and deep fried "sushi", but hey, can't blame a place for meeting their customers where they are, so no issues with that. The list of specialty rolls to choose from all pretty much priced between 14.95-16.95 (does not include Rai Lay Favorites) and the list of free classic roll options all priced at 6.95. Does not include rolls like spicy scallop or any eel rolls. In terms of the food, there was a solid amount of fish in each piece, which was a welcome change from some of the other places in town which have reduced portion sizes while increasing price points. Given that the food was solid, they will avoid the dreaded 1-star review, but 2 is the ceiling because... Unfortunately, service is where this place went off a cliff, as first of all they failed miserably when it came to the water refill test, as my water glass sat empty for 5+ minutes with no server in sight. In fact, I actually finished my meal and never had a server come by for any reason at any time after my food was dropped off by someone else. No checking to see how the food was, no asking if I needed anything (water maybe?), and never even came by to give me my chance until I started to get up and go up to the hostess stand to ask for my bill. Then lo and behold, the case of the disappearing server was solved as she magically appeared as I was standing up (sigh). She dropped off the bill, then left again to wherever who knows. Given that I didn't have another endless amount of time in my life to waste, I just left cash on the table and left, and as I was walking out I noticed she was leaning against the wall doing nothing. How fitting... No more then 3-4 customers in the restaurant while I was there, so it wasn't busy at all. This was a case in my opinion of apathy, mediocrity or just plain not caring at all, which of course is the right of any restauant employee, just like it is my right to call out horrible service and choosing to spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere, which I will be doing, as I have given them multiple chances and based on how each experience has gone, it tells me they don't care if I come back or not, which is unfortunate, given how close it is to me, but proximity does not excuse mediocrity, so I will simply wish them the best in their future endeavours.
