When in a pinch and lazy mood Panera is always a safe bet for me. We have had the flat bread, chicken tikka soup bowl and the toasted fortega sandwich. We ordered take away, but the service was quick and efficient when we got there for pick up. The ambience inside is always nice. Being a weekend it was a bit slow, but the servers are always kind and helpful. The chicken tikke soup bowl didn't taste anything like chicken tikka so that was disappointing. The flat bread and the fortega sandwich were delicious. The sandwich was my favorite as I had never had anything like it before. read more

Recently had a lunch meeting at work, and decided to have lunch brought in. We placed a group order online for for pick up and got our lunch from Panera, which was very easy. The food was ready when the gopher arrived to pick it up, and everything was accounted for. Trying to be a bit healthier in the new year I decided to try their Green Goddess Chicken Cobb Salad. It came in a very full bowl, with plenty of toppings. The salad was ok, but lacked very much chicken. The other ingredients, especially the lettuce didn't seem to be the freshest. Overall it was ok, but not the best. I was a little disappointed by the quality. In the future, I'd probably consider getting a salad from a different spot after this experience. read more

Old bagels. I searched for places to buy bagels and they were closet to me. Really no one else was near. Stopped by today for 6 and got home and they tasted like they were made a few days ago. Hard as a rock. The person inside who served me was nice so this is no reflection on her. read more

I'm nor really sure how to review this location!! I stopped in at noon. Every single employee appeared to be at the food prep location. 0 Employees greeting anyone up front. I didn't see any kiosk to order from. I waited and I waited and I waited. . . . . No one came to take my order. . . .After about 5 minutes literally standing at the register area so people in the prep area could see me, I finally turned around and left! Mind you NOON ON FRIDAY! read more

Every time I come here there's a problem. Trying to redeem a reward on my account, I'm told I need to order in app. Problem is, a cup of soup not available in app. Ended up ordering a kids meal at register. Received food & left. I don't understand how this location remains in business. read more

Food was ordered online and picked up. The app was very difficult for us to use. We had a large order for 6 people and were only missing one meal out of the 6. We don't know if it was operator error, app error or restaurant's fault. Food was good with one order of Cranberry chicken salad sandwich had the tiniest of chicken spread over the slice of bread. We all were shocked when she showed us. was just a smear. (Sorry I don't have pics. Food was gone before I could get around to take pics and someone else threw the receipt away.) read more

Nasty bathroom smells, tissues everywhere. Needs updating badly Trays still here at 3:42 pm from breakfast. Parking lot has a giant hole in the middle that's hard to miss, it will mess up your car. The outside rat control box is openly seen for anyone driving by to see it. It's just a major turn off to buy anything. I just had to leave. My husband refuses to purchase from this location the music isn't appealing and is extremely loud. Other locations are anything like this. read more

Had lunch here today and my food was cool. This location is slightly dirty. All of the tables were dirty and needed to be cleaned. The floor was also dirty. Although the space was dirty the food was delicious! I had broccoli cheeses soup and grilled cheese! Prices here are definitely expensive read more

Not great. Broccoli soup is clearly not the same . Thin and runny with no chunks of broccoli. The green goddess salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with only a half full very small ramiken of dressing- not enough. The boiled egg was too seemed old and the chicken has a weird flavor. Very disappointing. read more

Coffee station had coffee throughout the counter, causing me to get my clothes wet. Tables and seats were loads with crumbs. Music playing very loudly it was more appropriate for a party or bar. None of the was inviting. I've came here several times before because of the location. I can't do it anymore, I'll continue drive back to the Greensboro, wendover location where it's clean and music isn't over powering. read more

I was just having breakfast here and noticed the unrelated review score this location has. It may be because of past experiences but wanted to provide a more recent and actual experience.. The location is extremely convenient off NC68 an Penny Road intersection. It has a patio and plenty of parking. The interior is well decorated and maintained clean at all times. I use to love how Panera placed the time on each fresh brews of coffees which was for a long time a competitive edge to Starbucks; they don't do that anymore. Coffees selection is great better than competitors and the fresh brews are available for self serve. I had a soufflé bacon spinach which are Panera specialties and a coffee. Server was very attentive and helpful. Overall great experience and highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. Prices are a little on high side for their breads but for a good reason. Very clean bathrooms which shows good management! Overall rating 4 stars! read more

We ordered food to a local soccer field for our athletes after a game. The only thing worth the money was the Mac and cheese. $7 for a cup of chicken noodle soup and they all had two noodles and one piece of chicken in them is absolutely ridiculous. We were on the way out of town so there was no going back to have it remade but why should we have to do that? We complained on the app and were given a $7 credit but I have filed a complaint to get a refund. We spent over $70 before tip for our driver and got $15 worth of food. I wouldn't come back if they paid me. We were willing to pay the crazy prices to feed some hungry girls but that was the worst portion I've ever had. If you're going to charge full restaurant prices- serve decent amounts. I'd give 0 stars if I could. read more

It's been a while since I've been here. The menu has changed and not in a great way...in my opinion. A few of my prior favorites are no longer available. I had the flatbread which was a great size but unfortunately it was not hot...only warm. They did not appear to be that busy when we walked in so I'm at a loss to understand why our food apparently sat for a while before they called out our name. We also waited at the counter for a few minutes before someone came to take our order. I don't know if we will return. I don't highly recommend this location for quick service and hot food. read more

Horrible experience!! I used this Panera location for catering for a business meeting. I scheduled delivery well intime for our scheduled lunch as we only had 30 min for lunch planned. When the delivery time passed, I called the store and could not get anyone to answer when I should get my delivery. I called back 15 minutes later and no one even answered the phone. The delivery was 1HOUR LATE... so everyone did not get to eat lunch. On top of that, it was mixed up with another order so we did not get what we ordered. Leadership at this location needs to take notice because whoever is the catering coordinator needs help, training, or should just try a different role. Not acceptable read more

I have been taking my former husband who is in declining health to the Penny Road Panera for breakfast two mornings a week for the past several months. He ate at Panera frequently before that. He loves this restaurant, and we greatly appreciate the kindness of the associates there, especially JJ (Johnette) who is always smiling and in an upbeat mood. She makes everyone feel welcomed and is kind and patient with elderly or anyone whose health problems make them slower to order or to use their payment cards. She is an asset and spreads goodwill for the restaurant. Thank you, Johnette, and Panera. read more

I've been frequenting this Panera location during COVID because the curbside pickup is so easy and it's on my way to work. Ordering through the Panera App is super easy and when you do curbside pickup you just put your car make, model and color into the comments section. The handoff from the employees is very quick and safe. My go-to lunch has been the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Green Goddess Salad. That salad is glorious and the dressing is so fragrant and delicious! Perfect for a light lunch. A little more pricey than I would like, but that's just Panera for you. I don't mind paying a little extra for the curbside pickup. This may be a chain, but I think it's still good to support all local businesses, if possible. I'm grateful for the extra measures they're taking to keep us safe. read more

I feel bad picking on this location but I drove 10 minutes specifically to some items that have been staples on the menu forever. I realized when I got there that they have gutted the menu - a sign that 1) they are spieling downhill or 2) they were acquired by a PE firm. 2 minutes of research suggested the latter...and maybe the former. Anyway, a waste of time and gas to realize this once great option has sold its soul and is heading for the abyss. Sadly, they people who had to tell me they don't several any of the great items anymore were really nice and friendly...someone please hire them before this thing starts to take on more water. read more

I wasn't planning on reviewing Monday's lunch but the email I received today was interesting (see the picture). Do not EVER! I have ordered online and 98 out of 100 times they butcher the order I then go in and have to get them to correct! The last couple of times I received a text letting me know the order was ready when in fact it was not. This last time they didn't even have the product! The last straw is a refund will not be available for 7-10 working days! That could be 2 weeks they have! Poor customer experience read more

Panera bread has really gone down hill. I got their tomato soup that used to be creamy and delicious. Now it is thin watery soup with no flavor. The grilled cheese didn't taste right too. So disappointing. I know I can make it at home and it's easy to make, but it was just convenient at that time. Not worth the price and will not be going back. read more

The Pan Era was an era of cooking when everything was made in a pan. It was the high point of cooking in general. This Panera is not the High Point of dining in this, the third and most oft-overlooked city in the Triad. In fact, I wouldn't come back here again. The Wifi worked fine, and the water tasted good, but there were a few funny looks from employees because I was here for hours, despite the fact that my dining companion order a (disappointing) salad and that I got a sweet tea as well (which wasn't very good). I much prefer the Hotpants Era. Which is, I guess, now. Good times. read more

I was craving some hot soup in a bread bowl so I headed straight to my local Panama Bread on Penny Road. As I was walking in, I watched the manager close out the 2nd register. Mind you it was just around 6:25pm. I waited for the cashier to work out an issue with a customer for 10 to 15 minutes. The cashier finally got the manager involved. I waited another 10 minutes and the line was filling up. I heard the cashier tell someone on the phone that they were all out of bread. I asked one of the other employees if they had any bread bowls left. He said "no". So, After waiting more than 20 minutes in line, I find out that Panara Bread is all out of. BREAD! Crazy right???! Nice atmosphere and great food. Quiet enough to study or working ... great wfc (work from cafe) place. This location actually was fairly busy for an afternoon. Seemed like a lot of people were either there from work interviews, to moms done shopping, and even a few students taking their time to sit and surf and read on their summer break. Great coffee, and the food wasn't bad. I have to say that it was rather strange that there was a fly that was on the window sill, and a friend had noticed later on, the same fly was lying on its back like it was dead. Something wrong with this picture.... was there pesticide on the window sill? If so, that's kind of dangerous considering that I put my drinks there. Also another thing to note. The traffic goes one direction. I didn't notice until I looked on the pavement and saw the arrows, and had to turn around. read more

The low review is for the service. This Panera does not have the monitor like other ones I have been in. So while I'm at the counter waiting on my to-go order that I ordered at the counter. And seeing other people get to-go orders from there. After seeing people get their food who were not there when I came in, I looked over to the mobile shelf where they decided to place my food. Way to go with not letting anyone know when their order was ready or where you decided to place it afterwards. This is a good reason while this location has low stars. read more

I like this Panera for studying and doing other work - it's not too loud, service is quick and they're always sweeping up. That being said.... the food at Panera is pretty mediocre to me. Recently got the French Onion Soup and a Tomato Mozzarella Sandwich (forgot it's menu name). The soup's cheese did not melt! Sad times. And the sandwich's "bread" was akin to cardboard. The coffee was thin and sour tasting. The only thing I'll be caught dead ordering here is a bagel, and maybe some hot tea.
