Hadn't been back for a long time because the first experience was very unsatisfying. My wife and I just had our respective sandwiches, hers was a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. Professional, courteous, and receptive. This Panera location has answered the call far beyond my expectations. I placed a huge catering order with limited time that the staff answered with true grit. Halfway through the order I hit them with a curveball just finding out my doctors are practicing Catholics and can not eat meat on fridays due to lent. The manager on duty was so receptive and pleasant it really made the mess up on my end seem so trivial. Brenda the cashier was so sweet and made processing the new transaction like a breeze. No question, the food is fresh and delicious. The help is friendly. The drive-thru has a great menu board and it's covered for bad weather. Was treated like a criminal here.. 2 out of 2 of my credit cards were declined here. Had to give my food back to them like a jackass, with them claiming that their system was working properly. Called my two credit card companies, no issues.. even used it at other business right after with no issue . Panera breads credit car readers are defective, but the manager wouldn't believe that. Left there hungry and feeling like a complete degenerate due to their technical difficulties and denial of it. read more

I have been coming Panera Bread locations in Carle Place, Mineola and Glen Cove. I found the one in Glen Cove no caring.. What I mean by that is that they really don't put themselves in the costumers shoes.. I am sorry is not enough anymore. I came here once and ordered the Tortellini Pasta and they said they didn't have it. They were sorry. But now here I am waiting for them to make it up cause that's the only pasta I like! Then they said what we have macarroni and I said I don't like macarroni.. They said sorry again.. Now if I was them I would do whatever it takes to make it up.. Meaning.. Sr. let me help you.. We are sorry we don't have it but let me allow you to pick any item around the same price or below for free. They didn't even make the effort. Also once in November they had a deal, spend $25 And get $5 coupon.. I bought 3 gift cards cause I wanted to get the $5 I remember going January a few time, I actually used my coupons and I had one left in February 29th came in and they said that these coupons had already expired.. Meanwhile it was only one day after.. The lady was very arrogant and said look in the back there you see the expiration date.. What did I do? Nothing but be quite.. Anyways.. I mean not to mention the embarrassment around other costumers.. I have been going to this location since opening.. maybe 50 times since I live in Glen Cove. A visit this week was interesting. The young girl at the register told me they dont toast croissants.. I have had it done about 25 times in the past. So I order a bagel with cream cheese instead. That they toast. When I picked up the order I asked for an additional cream cheese. I was told no.. its $1.39. I am fine with that.. but was never told this.. at least 15 times in the past I was given one with a smile. So I then said wow things have changed.. she said how? I explained and mentioned things seem to be a hassle now. She said yes... everything is a hassle now get used to it.. I guess this is the feeling today and the way people deal with it. I do enjoy the food there but the service is suffering. It would be nice to find a happy place to relax and eat especially during these times. The icing on the cake is the WiFi was not working.. i was at this panera today---had a quinoa and egg bowl---was eating and all of the sudden i notice very small things floating in the broth---i asked the staff what it was and they stupidly said it was pieces of egg---i said again pointing to the little white things and they said it was the quinoa---i took a few home and it looks like little worm like things under magnification---yuck---i think that they are so defensively pumped up smarter than the customer---that they over estimate themselves and under estimate the customers ---i wish i could take these little creatures back to them, but they would probably deny that i found them in their food---i just can't stand when people don't at least make an effort to give the customer credit for not being stupid read more

The reason i'm giving 2 stars is because of my smoothie. Yes, you read that right. My smoothie. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie with whipped cream. Pretty yummy am I right? So I get my order and it's a mango smoothie! I politely asked if I could get a new smoothie because that was not the smoothie I ordered. The lady doing the food seemed pretty mad, but she made a new one. I got my new smoothie and I was pretty happy. BUT, I drank it, it tasted funny, AND IT HAD MANGO CHUNKS IN IT. They dumped out the old smoothie AND USED THE SAME CUP! And plus, they left mango chunks in it. They didn't even care to get rid of the chunks! I was sipping my oddly tasting smoothie, which is not normal, and BOOM. A mango chunk right in my mouth. I don't even like mangos! I was so confused because there was not supposed to be anything in the smoothie, just a nice delicious blended strawberry banana smoothie. I don't even want to drink it anymore because it tastes so bad. I'm outraged. They got my order right so that's a good thing though, but now I'm sad because I don't even want to drink my smoothie anymore. Wi-Fi cuts out intermittently, making it practically impossible to use this cafe for my purposes. Food is fine, but Wi-Fi is useless.

Great food, some of the employees are inattentive. There have been several occasions where theres no one taking orders at the front because employees are chatting in the back. The drive through is wonderful and fast and the food is fresh. However, they often run out of certain meals. I once went for dinner around 5 and they were out of bread. Panera BREAD was out of bread. What a great neighborhood snackery! Yesterday I tried the Baja Grain Bowl with Chicken bowl and it was amazing, I usually stop by for breakfast and like the Ham, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich which is only 340 calories ! The Avocado, Egg White & Spinach sandwich is also a great choice at only 350 calories. The food selection is terrific and has offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snack breaks in between. The decor is spot on- uncomplicated, modern and inviting and the place is spotless in the dining area and the bathroom. The staff is helpful and friendly, you will even see the Manager talking to customers in the dining area as well. Just love this place! The only 'negative' thing I want to mention is that parking can be tricky with all that construction going on but that has nothing to do with the franchise. But then there's always the drive through! Decent. I come here regularly as it is a healthier option rather than getting the typical fast food (although fast food is better tasting right?!?!) Anyways, the drive thru is pretty convenient and there is never a long line. They generally get my order right, although one time they gave me chicken soup instead of chicken and wild rice. One of the other times I ordered the chili and was given nothing but the chili sauce which was pretty disgusting. But, since I do come here a decent amount of times per month - the ratio isn't to bad from wrong orders to right. The salads are fresh for the most part, soups are hot, and the sandwiches are better eaten at the place it self since they could get soggy. Try their green tea, its absolutely one of my favorite drinks there. Just a note for those who want the smoothies - they are very good - but they are made from concentrated juices are in fact not as healthy as they claim to be. Panera Bread is a healthier option, yes, but not the healthiest option out there. read more

My sixteen-year-old son and I have lunch here most Saturdays. The sandwiches, salads, and soups are always fresh and flavorful. Service is very fast and accurate. The ambiance is enjoyable and this location gets a good variety of people from our community. It was a much needed addition to Glen Cove. Seating varies; sometimes it is tight; other times, you have your pick of many tables. read more

i was again in glen cove and its morning time and this brand spanking new panera is the place to get my morning grub on. plenty of parking which was filled but place was empty inside so i guess its shared parking with other shops. a smart move is having rapid pickup spot parking and 10 minute pick up delivery spots, which makes in and out a breeze. a nice outdoor patio seating with plenty of tables and chairs with covered wall panels to block rain and sun. now inside is big and roomy with colorful decor wall to wall with plenty of couples tables and full booths plus more room in the back with a bunch of more tables. its one of the bigger panera that i have ever visited. the folks who work here are really friendly and the place is kept clean, as soon as you walk in the counter to the left has a mighty full display of pastries, breads and more. whom ever set up the goodies behind the glass display really knows how to stock em up well cause i was overwhelmed. i ordered a few cinnamon rolls, a blueberry muffin and 6 assorted bagels for my peeps and yours truly and folks it was fresh and tasty all around. i bet lunch time folks must dig the soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta bowls and more very much cause i always do.the coffee hot and cold were made just right cause my sisters did not complain. dont forget to use your panera card for free perks. as i was filling my soda cup with green tea ice tea, the outdoir patio area was filling up with folks. overall a new hip panera in glen cove that the locals and the non locals will enjoy very much. p,s. the morning time when the baked goods are hot and fresh is the best time. read more

I like Panera as a brand, and have enjoyed other locations a lot. The Glen Cove location is terrible however. I've called the national customer service line and they informed me it's a franchise location. Last time I went in the girl at the front told me right off the bat that they were out of a bunch of things. I wanted an Asian chicken salad, but they were out of pineapple and oranges, so no fruit at all in the salad. She said they could give me extra cucumbers (not at all a good substitute). When I get soup I always ask the person preparing it in the back if I can have an extra chunk of baguette since they give you free bread. Now it's $0.45 if you want extra bread! And that's after they were out of fruit for my salad. Today I ordered a strawberry poppyseed chicken salad, got home, NO strawberries! They put pineapple in it instead but this time didn't bother to tell me. I would not have ordered it if I had known, it was not good! read more
