Third time either myself or person with me gets diarrhea/gas pains after eating at this particular Panera Bread. While most people think it is the food that gives them the poison, it is 99.9% of the time the food handlers (not doing good handwashing after using the restroom or contamination of surfaces). Clean up your restaurant and hire employees that care about cleanliness. read more

I order rapid pick up from here frequently. The past few times my order hasn't been up to standard. My sandwich had nasty old wilting lettuce for one order, I had to stand around and wait 20 minutes for the next, and this last time my chips weren't included. When I order from other locations, I never have an issue...seems like they need to work on the quality control at this one. read more

I am a frequent customer of Panera where ever I may travel. The Germantown location so far is the best one I have eaten at. I ordered the pick two - tomato soup and grilled cheese half sandwich to go. The service was swift, courteous, everyone had headgear on, and my food including the baguette was hot!!! No tables are cleaned and the place isn't even packed. It's Fourth of July and my friend found a hair in her food..... Im disappointed because I have been here before and it was good. Just as another reviewer said, this Panera used to be good, but now they're terrible. I've made two attempts to use express pick-up, but this process has failed both times. I show up on time, look for the order, and there's nothing there. I had to get in line to find out where the order was, only to be told that they didn't have the items I ordered. Once, they didn't even have the bread for one of the sandwiches (wouldn't you think that'd be the one thing they'd actually have? I mean, it's right in the name). The last time I tried to order ahead, the guy behind the counter said the process 'didn't work very well' and the reason they were always out of items is because the manager 'was trying to cut costs.' It's just a suggestion, but why don't they just shut the doors...that would save a lot of costs. read more

Was at the Germantown TN location this morning. Ordered Breakfast two Chibatta Sausage egg and cheese. You can get the egg over easy or scrambled. I choose over easy. The baker informed me all the Chibatta bread had been over cooked. So I chose them to be on wraps. Took them home only to find the egg was a runny undercooked mess and they chose to add bacon instead of sausage. This store is so disappointing for so many reasons. I continue to go back because it's close but never lives up to the other surrounding Memphis Locations. read more

If you are in the mood for soup, salad, or a sandwich, Panera Bread is a good choice. I really like the Fuji Apple Salad and the Mac & Cheese is the best. You can't go wrong with any of their soups. I have not actually been in this location but I did use them for catering. They were extremely helpful I had a very complicated order with everyone ordering something different. I faxed them a list and all the orders came to us correct and on time. The catering staff called left a voicemail after the order was delivered to make sure everything was ok and called again to check before I could call them back. I have not used them before but definitely will in the future...excellent customer service and the food was great! read more

I like this place for lunch even though their system to place your order is not very efficient and lines sometimes become a problem. They have a wide variety of lunch choices and will make any special request. They breads are fantastic. This is the only Panera I have been to but as a chain I will try other locations. read more

Whenever I go to Germantown I have to stop by here. Their super friendly and fast. I am in love with their triple berry. Put it in their microwave and you are ready to go. I also like the round up to the whole dollar donation. It's a easy way to give. read more

We visited today since it's convenient to where we live. I keep hoping it'll be better. Every time I'm disappointed with what you get for the high price. Today I had the half and half with the Italian sandwich and mixed greens salad. There was so little meat on the sandwich, and the salad was so sparse. The puny salad was almost $4! I stopped in the bathroom that was less than clean and there were no paper towels! Additionally if I pay that much for a meal, I don't like to have to bus my dishes afterwards. read more

I love Panera, and because I used to work at one I understand how difficult it can be when it's busy to get all the customized orders correct. However, what I DONT understand is how they mess my order up when there are a handful of other customers in the establishment. I'm a vegan, and Panera has lovely vegan options, but I have to modify some things to get what I want to eat. In the past week I've been to the restaurant maybe 3 times to order food to go, and each time they ignore my modifications on my food items making me eat food I 1) don't want to eat and 2) make me uncomfortable eating due to the real life negatives of animal agriculture. I don't understand how hard it is to take the meet and / or dairy off my sandwich and salad. The cashiers are lovely, but it's obvious that the kitchen is lacking in checking details on the food orders. read more

This location went from 5 stars to 1 star today. I ordered the Lentil Quinoa Broth Bowl w/Chicken. Look at the picture on the Web Site. All you could see on the surface of mine was the floating Kale. It was at least 3/4 broth. There was no Quinoa. The chicken pieces were small. The manager tried to tell me the Lentils were the Quinoa. He relented and added Quinoa. I showed him the picture on my phone but he just shrugged. I am SO disappointed. Don't order the broth bowls! read more

I eat at Panera probably 4-5 times a week. My breakfast order was wrong for the second day in a row. I'm trying to be patient because I know how hard it is to find good help, but this location needs an overhaul. Orders are consistently wrong, staff seems uninterested in customer service, and the interior is dirty. The counters need to be wiped down, the credit card machines are even grimy. The toilet paper holder in the women's bathroom has been broken for a week now. Large toilet paper rolls are just sitting in the baby changing table. Slow service: the line will be out the door and they'll have one person at the register and the other getting bakery items. If no one wants a bakery item, why not hop on a register thereby having 2 to make the line move. read more

Staff is very disjointed and rude. One Breakfast sandwich order took over 20 minutes. They forgot the second order and remade it. Very slow service, literally took forever. Many other customers complained to the manager over messed up orders. The manager and employees were arguing in front of customers. The place is dirty and not maintained. Usually this location has long lines and slow service so I typically try to avoid coming here. I came in here today and was surprised that there were only 2 people ahead of me in line. I got there before 11am thinking there's plenty of time to order breakfast. The cashier was so slow looking for something and even had to go to the back to retrieve something, that by the time she was done, it was past 11am. I tried to order a breakfast sandwich and she told me breakfast was over so I can't order it. Mind you it was 11:02 but I've been next in line waiting for several minutes (got there before 11am). I told her I've been in lone waiting before 11am and of course she didn't care. I've been to this location many times and overall bad customer service. read more

Corporate needs to visit this location. Slow, surly, inaccurate staff really ruins the panera brand. I travel a lot and there are certain dependable hotels and restaurants I seek out - panera being one of them. If this were my first experience at panera it would be my last.
