I don't write many reviews about restaurants but this one in particular influenced me to go on yelp and share my experiences. Every time I come here I do rapid pickup for breakfast and lunch because I am in a hurry to go to work and it's in a convenient area. Every time I order from here they mess up my order whether it is they give me the wrong food or leave items out of my order that I have already paid for. Again, I'm in a hurry so I don't notice it until I get to work to eat. This time they handed me someone else's order and I did not notice it until i drove all the way to work and I had to drive all the way back to exchange it. The lady didn't want to take responsibility for it and tried passing on the fault so I just left with my order that is, of course, incomplete. It is very safe to say I will never be returning to this particular Panera Bread because they can never seem to get it right. read more

I eat here constantly, as I work just down the street. The food is always delicious- I've never eaten anything here I haven't like. The dishes are somewhat seasonal- they do change out certain menu items every now and then. I'm a bit bummed out they no longer have the steak and blue cheese salad, as that was phenomenal. 4 stars because of the price- it's hard walking away without spending about $10 per person. read more

I have dined at Panera Bread many times but can't seem to find anything that I particularly love. I have tried many of their sandwiches, salads, and also bagels. The bagels are good but everything else tastes fine. I also don't like that they don't offer ketchup. lol. Most of their sandwiches are a okay...but nothing that really makes me remember them. This store was quite disappointing. We ordered our food and I came here because a family member was sick and just wanted a simple bread bowl and they could not deliver that. They ran out but instead of giving sides of good bread we got hard stale bread I was quite disappointed in my overall experience. The team members did not seem to have the urge to even help make our experience pleasant or fix the unsatisfactory in our overall visit. I also ordered a salad and it was drenched with a very strong dressing which made it unbearable and non edible. And we left still hungry. Store was kept up with for the most part. But no service to please customers. Not returning anytime soon. read more

This is probably the worst Panera I've been to. The bathrooms are always dirty. I like to get a sandwich with Avocado and they are so skimpy on the avocado! It makes me sad when Panera isn't exactly cheap for a sandwich and soup. A few times my husband would go up if the order was wrong or a had almost no avocado and they gave such attitude. Went for coffee on Tuesday evening. Ordered coffee and a pastry. I then tried three different coffee pots and all three produced lots of coffee grounds. The managers are very rude. I've never had a good experience with the managers who take your order (Which seems to be every time I go there). Also, almost every time I order with the app, they forget to include the pastry that I paid for. So checking the bag to make sure everything is in it is routine before I leave the place. No bread bowls at 5:45 pm this evening....last time the manager said that he had already taken some bread from the supply for the next day. Today was the 4th time that this location did not deliver or was late with our order in the last six months. We had a business meeting and the order was placed the day before with a very confident man. He even read back the order once I finished. The order was to arrive between 11:30 and 11:45. At 11:45 I called and was told that they were on their way. At 11:50 I called back when a gentlemen said yes mam she is 2 minutes out. At 12:00 I called back and was told she is pulling in the driveway. Then at 12:05 I called back and the "catering manager" answering asking when did I place my order, then she said that she had not seen the order, that the man who I gave the order to was out and apparently he did not pass along the order. Needless to say I didn't give her much time to explain. Long story short, we went somewhere else for our food. They also messed up a very large breakfast order one morning by not showing up, we even had copy of the confirmation, but when called they said they did not receive the order. They also didn't show up at an open house for one of our agents and they were 30 minutes late one day for a very large lunch order. Needless to say, this Panera just lost a large corporate account. I placed a rapid pick up order online today. I was to pick up the order at 12:05. It was not ready until 12:30. Needless to say, my lunch break was over. When I returned to work, where I planned to eat, there was no chicken on my salad and the bagels I ordered were not in the bag. I just called the store to speak with a manager and excuses were made. I cannot be refunded unless I come into the store. I will have vouchers mailed to my house instead. Disappointing experience all together. read more

i have been to this panera several times and every time i go there, there is ALWAYS never any bread for the bread bowl. i had to get them to take my bowl ( because they didn't have bread bowls ) of broccoli cheddar soup back several times because it was cold and i ended up just giving up bc it was still COLD. i will no longer be going to this panera. read more

Had a 2 inch wide Tuna Sandwich 1/2 with Salad. The Tuna was fishy stinky and had no other texture (barf). The Balsamic dressing was bland and I have never seen an apple so small with the exception of the apples we gathered off Aunt Nellie's Crab Apple tree. Y'all. I love Panera, I really truly do. Their food is incredible, which is why I've been going for so long. But no more. The last several times I've gone to this Panera they've gotten my order incorrect, taken abhorrently long to serve food, and been exceedingly rude. About half of the current staff is incompetent, and the other half is blatantly mean. One time I ordered an entire turkey cranberry flatbread and they only gave me half. The waitress condescendingly told me that she'd bring me the other half and never did. It wasn't a busy night, and she didn't forget. It was very deliberate. Another time I ordered my food and waited for it for over forty five minutes. I was sitting in view of the counter where the chef puts the food for the waiters to bring out. My meal had been sitting there for almost the entire time and was never brought to me. I eventually just went and got it myself. Once again, it was not a busy night. There were like five other people there. The breaking point was when I ordered (once again) both halves of a turkey cranberry flatbread. The waitress brought me half of a plain turkey sandwich in French bread. She told me that they were out of flat bread. I then asked if they were also out of cranberry and spinach and told her that I'd ordered an entire sandwich. She left, came back, and told me that they were also out of cranberries. It was at that point that I decided to never go back. The only reason this isn't a one star review is because the turkey cranberry flatbread is a heavenly sandwich crafted by the gods. This is the first time I've ever written a Yelp review. The Dawsonville, GA location of Panera Bread is the worst! The food quality is terrible and they always seem to screw up the order. If you ever get a "to go" order, make sure to check before you drive off....I can guarantee you that something will be wrong with the order. Management nor the staff offer any solutions to the problem. We had dinner there tonight (8/1/18) and ordered "pick 2". Grilled Cheese and Tomatoe Basil soup. The grilled cheese was the WORST sandwich I've ever had. Took the sandwich back and the Manager agreed the sandwich was bad since it change a couple of months ago. She advised that about 2 mos ago Panera Bread Corporate changed the sandwich. Corporate Officers should be required to eat that sandwich on a daily basis and experience what their customers have to eat. I'm very disappointed as I have always loved Panera. Not any more!!! I never write reviews but I had the time today.. the Gainesville location is the one that I most frequent. However, if the Buford location were any closer I would definitely go there. I did an online pickup order. Short + sweet, wanted an healthier option to eat today. Picked my two entrees ($5+ for a handful of lettuce, but I did chose to eat Panera) and proceeded to check out. Wanted their green tea that I love so much but wasn't given the option on their app for a green tea. Whatever, I'll just grab one while I'm inside picking up my order. Walked in, grabbed my bag and went to order a green tea. Now this is the second encounter I've had with a supervisor about their green tea. This is the dramatic part... THEY ACT LIKE EVERY CUP THEY MAKE OF GREEN TEA COMES OUT OF THEIR PAYCHECK. ITS LIKE THEY ALMOST HOLD IT HOSTAGE. I'm only writing this review because it's so ridiculous to me how stingy they are with the green tea. At the Buford location, the green tea is SELF SERVE. AND the add-on bakery item is only .99 cents! Not 1.19! But seriously, I'm paying $3 for a cup of this stuff. Give me a break with the hostility about the green tea. After seeing the ads on TV for the turkey/cranberry flatbread sandwich, I had to try one. Mistake -- not like the pictured one on TV!! There was just a scant teaspoon of cranberry sauce. The turkey was not nice, juicy slices, but just 3 small chunks about the size of my thumb, and there was no spinach! I could not believe they served this excuse for a sandwich. I took it back to the counter and showed the server. She gave me a disgusted look and said they were out of spinach. I said "We'll at least you could put some turkey on it." She did so, but not in a pleasant manner. Then I had to ask for some lettuce since they did not have spinach. She added that, as if she was aggregated, and never offered a kind word or apology. I am not a big eater, but I was still hungry after I ate this "sandwich". This sandwich was pathetic and the server was very rude. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that the broccoli/cheddar soup was good and the environment was clean and pleasant. I doubt I will ever try this place again.
