The sign on the door was flipped to "open" (see attached pic). I went in and was informed upon entering that they closed at 4. They were very nice about it but they were in the process of cleaning. The friendly faces and the warm smiles that greet you are truly one of a kind. I went there for breakfast with my sister, and the homemade apple danish was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a coffee and it was delivered with a smile, and they ask if you want cream or sugar right at the counter. They also have a coffee kiosk area, where you can add your own cream and sugar. We were able to sit inside for as long as we wanted, and our server, Stephanie, came over to make sure that my coffee was hot and asked if I wanted a refresher. You have to understand that this is not a full restaurant, but a beautiful bakery that serves breakfast and lunch items for Pick-Up or eat in as they have tables available, but it is not a large place. I would absolutely recommend this place for homemade sweet treats, beautifully sandwiches, and soups. This is my new breakfast place on Saturdays! Definitely worth a visit! No cortado today but the barista was able to prepare a terrific small latte instead. They have a few pastries. Street parking along this small street in Commerce. Inside, a few chairs, a "meeting room," some tables with power outlets and a wifi (which was a little slow but better than nothing). Very quiet this early, I was the first customer for the day.
