I went to this coffee shop as I was traveling for work. The area is absolutely beautiful and I wish I could have spent more time there. When you first walk in the theme is on point. Fun decor, comfortable seating and even little toys and such for kids. Service was fast and very friendly. I got the matcha and a cold brew and both were delicious! The only excuse I will give is that the girl was busy. The only advantages they have are this shop has a great theme and they have single origin beans. That's it! These frappes we just got are awful! Starbucks are better and I haven't gone to a Starbucks since 2003. No favor! Midnight mocha??? More like Dusk icy milk with a hint of chocolate. Not dark at all like the picture! The seasonal frappe, caramel something, tastes like a hint of coffee with milk and tons of ice. Where is the espresso??? Coffee?? Anything?? And where are the drizzles that the descriptions clearly state, that are supposed to be on top of the whipped topping. Why can't coffee shops do better? $10+ a coffee and it should be perfection! This isn't hard. And why can't coffee shops make their own syrups? Using that high fructose garbage is the quickest way for me to not return, but this time, it's because we got 2 cups of slushie ice with very little flavor. Let me know when yall decide to make your own syrups, until then I'll keep looking for a good coffee shop in Gainesville and until I find it, I'll just go to Farmhouse. We ordered the hash browns and two breakfast sammies after a doc appt in the morning. It was the perfect way to wrap up a busy morning. We had coffee from home, so food was our prinary focus. This is one of the COOLEST coffee places I have stepped into. I mean, you do feel like you stepped onto a plane. They have some really cool airplane like seats with windows. I wish they served "airplane meals" like we used to get on all flights. :) We ordered just two cups of coffee (I know, nothing special) but I drink my coffee without anything added to it and I like to actually taste the coffee flavor. Consider me a fan of Boarding Pass! I love that this spot has taken morning coffee and made it into an experience. The inside is decorated with seating that puts you on a journey anywhere from on sailing through the sky to a cruising along the river. They've used public transportation seating in a way that takes you on vacation. With that type of experience, one might assume the food and bev does not need to stand out... but it still shines! They have really fun specialty drinks. I'm a lover of matcha and I had a honeybee matcha latte. From the color alone, the matcha was perfect... a really beautiful green! And the flavor was even better. Mixed perfectly with the honey to set the scene of a beautiful spring or summer day. I tried the spicy breakfast biscuit as well and thought it was delicious. It doesn't look that special, but the flavors were really doing it for me. Boarding pass also has wonderful seating along the square, so you can enjoy outdoors. In town and of course we had to stop by for some coffee. We only tried two specialty coffees and haven't tried anything else. We ordered the pistachio dream latte and the peaches and cream cold brew. So far, so good. They got the peaches and cream on the dot; tastes like it. There is the hint of peaches and cream and you can still taste the coffee. The pistachio dream latte was divine; right amount of creaminess and nutty flavor. Service is up front, order and pay. Ambiance was actually like you're boarding a ship/ cruise or plane; they have airplane seats and interior designs of what you'd fine in flight or on a ship/cruise-very creative. Went here on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't that busy which made it nice to look around and take pictures. It's such a cute theme unlike any other coffee shop I've seen! My coffee was pretty good, although it wasn't hot enough and serve to me in it to go cup when I clearly asked for a stay here mug. I should've sent it back and asked them to redo it but I'll give them another try when I bring my daughter here next time . Parking can be tricky at the Square but there is a parking garage is now with a short walk and other shops and restaurants around the Square make this a cute day trip. read more

As a frequent flier - a former Delta Diamond Medallion - I'm finding this place absolutely adorable. I love the beverage carts and the first class seating with "windows" that look like you're on board a plane. It's too darned cute! Of course, coffee shops should be about the coffee and the working space. My iced coffee was perfect and my high top table was comfortable. Or I could have sat in one of the aircraft seats that look like they were pulled from a 767 which look awesome but balancing a laptop on a tray table isn't ideal. Low, quiet music. Speedy wifi. This is my go to coffee spot! The coffee and drinks are always consistent and delicious and the employees are always excited to assist and provide quality drinks. I love getting a cortado with a little bit of vanilla. And their london fog with oat milk is delicious. I can't find any other place in the area that has such good tasting tea and coffee! As a writer, I find myself getting stir crazy in the house so I like to come here and do my writing and grab a quick bite to eat and a cup of coffee while i'm writing. The workers here are so friendly. I just love the little atmosphere! Everything is decorated like traveling transportation. I enjoy sitting in the airplane seats and using the table trays. Came multiple times and the coffee was "Okay" for a company that roasts their own beans and not make a house made syrup seems disappointing. Nonetheless my spouse and I got a coffee and it was extremely bitter after waiting 15 minutes for it with no one ahead of us. I said my coffee is very tart (iced mocha) and they said I can add honey and I opted for creamer because honey seemed like a different flavor that wouldn't even melt anyway. As I asked for creamer with a baby on my hip and being pregnant she said I can't touch your cup, " it's illegal." I said you aren't touching it just pouring into it from over the counter as I opened the top. After much back and fourth another customer helped me by grabbing the milk from the barista to pour for me. I ended up asking for a full refund. At that moment they said the espresso machine was down and that's why the coffee today is tart - I said you should've told customers before ordering. They acted so difficult with paying customers... not coming back. Go around the corner to Meadowlark - it's incredible. read more

This place has so much potential! Whoever designed it had something great in mind and I see the vision. The ambience is warm and welcoming, even the lighting was perfect. They had a cute little area for kids to read books and play with little captain hats, my kids loved the airplane seats right down to the functional tray tables. I noticed on one side was a cruise ship themed area - hence the boarding pass not just being for an airplane. The limited food options is actually perfect for this type of coffee house. I enjoyed the bacon egg and cheese croissant and the cheese bread.That was the good... the bad, the employees were not welcoming or friendly. Perhaps they needed a few shots of espresso but definitely not inviting. What can I get you... with no expression.... Didn't even tell anyone to have a nice day. I didn't enjoy my coffee .. it tasted burnt. What keeps people there is most definitely the furniture the decor and the music... definitely not the employees nor the coffee which is such a bummer bc as a business owner I would be disappointed. This place could be great but with the poor customer service I can see people stopping by once and not returning. Take what I say with a grain of salt bc they did have a steady flow of traffic. Coffee here is STRONG. The vibe is super cute and I love how they have repurposed plane seats etc for this spot. There is a private meeting room as well. Service was a little slow, seemed like they need to work on their speed to make coffee and there was a slight learning curve in typing in the coffee order. The experience was good though. Their story is fun. Parking is not that convenient unless you're there before most of the square opens. The free parking deck is close so that does help! I'm one of those folks that likes the ritual of going to a coffee house on Sunday mornings. I've not had much luck with that the past few years. Two of my local favorites aren't open on Sundays and the one that has been open, well, being kind, they're a has been. This shop recently opened on the Gainesville Square, and they are brilliant. The coffee is spot on with a fantastic roast and the travel theme is fun. It's well worth the time to drop in and enjoy your drink there. read more

Coolest coffee house I've ever been to. One side of the shop has the décor like you're flying in a plane, from windows to the actual seats you sit in. The other side of the shop is like your inside a ship. In the front there's a little play area for children which is great because we have two young boys. We got a chocolate chip cookie and a strawberry Danish and both were awesome. Location is great being in the square. I could not recommend Boarding Pass more in you're near downtown Gainesville. read more

The drinks were good and customer service was ok. We ordered their Brazilian bread and our drinks. A group that came in after received their bread first and we had to 15 minutes after them to receive ours. I asked why they were served their bread first and they said because the group had it reserved, even though they arrived after our order. After that the customer service was horrible, the barista was very rude and barely acknowledged us. The other barista was nicer than her. I think in summary we won't go back to this coffee shop because of bad attitudes. This was our first time coming here. read more
