First thing's first, they always jip you on the to go orders by giving you something super sloppy, and a lot of the time, they give you less than you would get if you got it to dine in. The service is alright, depending on who is at the counter, and the food is also alright at best. This location is right down the street from me and I probably frequent this business a minimum of once a week. The employees are nice and, I find, patient and helpful. The food is your typical Panera fare, so if it's your thing then it's tasty. As much as I love Panera I have three main issues with this location. First, it is common for them to be out of something. They have been out of roasted turkey, bread (both for making sandwiches and as the side), macaroni and cheese, and bagels. Each one of these items was out on a single occasion. I went yesterday, 12/4/16 and the cashier told me they'd been out of roasted turkey since the before. I find that unacceptable---these items are the bread and butter of this business. Second, the amount of food you get when you dine in is more than what you get for take out. I will not get a salad to go, and will instead eat in to get my money's worth. Third, bring a sweater to this location. They AC always seems to be on and it is particularly cold in the seating areas---even though we are well into fall. read more

Definitely my favorite Panera in Augusta. This location is fairly large, and usually has plenty of seating. The tables are arranged so you don't feel like you are eating with the family sitting at the next table. Not much to say about the food except its Panera. Internet is plenty fast and free for any study needs, and there are usually plenty of places to sit if you're looking for a place to study at this is a great spot! read more

I've gone to plenty of Panera Breads in the past, and I was quite disappointed when I stopped by this one. First off, I ordered the tomato mozz panini and a brownie. I came around dinner time so I understand that it'd be crowded, so it made no sense at all to me that they closed off a whole section of the dining area with chairs. Literally 7-8 tables were blocked off and the rest of the dining area was packed, with only the bad awkwardly positioned tables left (the ones in the middle, so everyone can see me eating as I'm surfing on my laptop). The sandwich was okay, but when I dug into my brownie, I was sorely let down. It was hard! What happened to Panera being a BAKERY? A place that supposedly offers FRESH baked goods? I guess my brownie had been sitting in the display out in the open for too long, but the employees should have noted this much earlier. They are so skimpy with the bread! I can not believe they only gave me 2 tiny hard pieces of bread for a group soup that serves 4 people and a bowl of tortellini alfredo that was also supposed to come with a side of bread. It was so dry and hard that my 4 year old could barely bite through it. We just moved here from Florida and any time we ordered a group soup there, they would give us a whole bag of sliced bread. Panera is delicious. I recommend the Broccoli cheddar soup or macaroni and cheese but everything is delicious! And now they deliver!!!!

Overpriced, but very tasty. Great place to meet with friends or family or to get your study on. Employees are mostly friendly, and the dining area is clean (most of the time). I recommend the bread bowls with your soup of choice if you want something hot. The strawberry poppy salad (only available in the summer) is by far the best salad I've ever had. I ordered here last month for the rapid pickup. Had no idea that the food would just be sitting on the counter for anyone to get. I ordered the broth bowl, which had already spilled unbeknownst to my husband. The food wasn't warm. The presentation of the food was poor. I'll never order carry out here again. I usually love Panera Bread....but this was my first time at this particular location. The sandwiches were thrown together sloppily, and were very thin for the price. And the staff behind the counter was pretty unfriendly and looked ticked off to be there. Overall, a very disappointing $26 food experience. My panini is generally cold meat in a very rock hard bread. It cut my gums. I come here every now and then when I get tired of Starbucks. Then I remember why I stop coming here each time. I usually don't write reviews but the service I received at this panera was review worthy. It was AWFUL! I have never in my life been treated so badly. I mean even at fast food restaurants they have better service. My problem is not with all employees there because all the times I have visited this location they have all been nice and inviting. They have helped me in any way I needed. On this particular night what I can only assume was the manager. I ordered my food and sat down. As I proceeded to eat my sandwich I realized it had a weird taste. I took it up to the counter and asked if I could get something else because I was not satisfied with the sandwich. She then told me that the reason I didn't like it was because of the horseradish. (No where on the menu did it specify the sandwich had horseradish on it. If it had I wouldn't have gotten it!) she then gave me an attitude about giving me a different sandwich. She told me they don't usually switch out items, which I know is not true because at any other Panera I've been to they have been happy to accommodate me. She then took the sandwich from me, threw it down and yelled at someone to make me a new sandwich. I know this might not sound like a big deal but the way the whole situation was handled was rude. I feel like if you are in the restaurant business the customer should come first. If it is your policy to not change out items then it needs to be posted for your customers to see. Also I think it is completely rude to tell a customer what they like or don't like. That's my rant! I will not be returning to that Panera with my business. read more
