Panera Bread - Sandwiches Near Me - East Northport, New York

I like Panera because you just know what to expect. A healthier option than McDonalds. McDonalds can be just as pricey now if not more for fast food. This place has made minor errors but nothing awful. read more

I have been a Panera customer for over four years, and I am very disappointed with my experience today at the Commack location. I usually eat inside the restaurant, but today I placed a to-go "You Pick Two" order, and the quality was completely different. The salad portion was much smaller than it should be, several ingredients were missing, and the few ingredients included were not fresh at all. The half sandwich was also incomplete. For the amount of money I pay sometimes twice a week this is not worth it. When I eat inside the restaurant, the salad portions are larger and the sandwiches are complete, so this inconsistency is very frustrating. I also want to add that I drive 15 minutes to get to this location, and after discovering the issues with my order, I did not want to drive back just to make a claim. Customers should not have to spend extra time and gas to correct mistakes. Additionally, the tables are often dirty, and they allow non-customers to use the bathroom. There are frequently homeless individuals using the restroom, and because of what goes on in there, I did not feel safe taking my children to use it. This situation needs to be taken seriously by management. A supervisor should address the food quality, cleanliness, and safety concerns immediately. As a loyal customer, I expect much better from Panera. read more

Very reliable and always fresh. I really like using this Panera location. Trish and her team always make a point of getting my needs met at the last minute. read more

Fast, convenient and great food. Ordering through the app makes it easy for dining in or to go!

What I was expecting VS what I actually got I'm very disappointed In this $12 bowl. I guess this is the reason why it's becoming more of a chain like McDonald's than an actual healthy choice read more

A visit to Panera bread the food is just OK but the prices are extraordinary $18 for half a sandwich and a bowl of soup is ridiculous. I will never be back there. read more

I ordered a warm chicken teriyaki bowl at the kiosk. While I was waiting, I noticed behind the register an advertisement to order a half salad for $4.59 if you buy a bowl. The kiosk did not give you that option so, I asked the cashier if I could order the half salad and pay the additional $4.59. She rang up the order and then proceeded to ask me for $10.09! What?? She understood that I wanted to add the half salad to my bowl order. The full Salad was $12, why would anyone order a half salad for $10?? I told her to forget the order!! She did not say a word, and did not even offer to speak to the manager. This place sucks! Portions are so tiny!! I wouldn't recommend it! Cashier was wrong for not speaking to the manager. Stay away! There are much better places to eat in this vicinity. read more

Ordered in the store. They didn't get my order correct and I was missing half of my lunch. When I got back to my office and realized it, I called them and they told me they could not deliver it because they use DoorDash. I had to go back to Panera and retrieve half of my lunch which burned up my entire lunch break. They were unapologetic and offered nothing to me in terms of my wasted time. The manager seemed to not care at all. I guess they don't need the business. Horrible customer service as far as I'm concerned. read more

Panera Freakin Bread!!! No guilt meals and much better than stopping @ a fast-food!! Can't go wrong w a good piece of ..... carb! Love the Mediterranean sandwich! Their soup- always the bomb ( in a good way) !! Lol. Stick w the never-ending coffee and wifi if u decide to sit around search on web or just ppl watch... Probably doesnt sound appealing to do in Long Island but take my advice... there are alot of "special" ppl = "special" conversations. Oh, my opinion....Sometimes it's okay to cheat.... Get yourself a piece of baked goody and sit and enjoy another cup of hazel nut flavored coffee( Joe tastes so much better w dessert)! Who said you always have to go to a $$$$ restaurant to have a great meal... When u can get a quick decent meal /dessert/ coffee under 20 bux!! Here's a little tip- refill ur cup on your way out and grab some extra napkins to store in your glove compartment! read more

I am writing this to commend "BRIAN " I had to return something to Home Depot which became such an unpleasant ordeal that by the time I got to Panera I was worried about the order. Brian went out of his way to ensure all was well in a professional , friendly manner . I am grateful to Brian He was as pleasant with everyone . read more

I've been here a handful of times; Not gonna lie, for the price they charge, they sure do give pretty small portions. The food is decent, but I do feel like they do overcharge for such teensy tiny portions. They are pretty popular and you usually have a beeper to wait for your food, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend Panera to people. Cute little cafe with little portions for BIG prices. read more

Food is good but the lady answering the phone for pickups talks over you and always seems stressed on the phone. I couldn't even leave my name which led to confusion on several occasions. She is rude and they need someone who is a better phone operator. A shame because the food is decent but I don't want to deal with her again on the phone, I'm not going back read more

I usually love this place but I ordered a salad for delivery and the chicken was chewy and had a funky taste to it. It ruined the whole salad. It was a horrible experience read more

Shout out to the manager of this Panera bread. My Panera App was not functioning properly and since I had my gift cards loaded on the app I was reluctant to pay with my CC. She spent quite sometime trying to help me out but the app was not working. She didn't charge me for my lunch and apologized. The place is clean and the staff were very friendly too. read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my Aunt. We both needed to stop somewhere real quick after a long ride. So she went to use their bathroom while I ordered her lunch and a pumpkin muffin for me. Little did I know, it was the most unsanitary location I went to! She told me that one of the bathroom stalls is not cleaned! When I got my muffin, i found out that the muffin was not in the box like it's supposed to be. The other location near me does that. This one doesn't. I did ignore that for a moment. But as soon as we got home, my Aunt said that her fork was dirty with dried French dressing on it! I feel awful for her! I would go to the other location near Walt Whitman mall. It's better and more sanitary. read more

The prices for what they give are ridiculous.....14.99 for a roast beef and cheese sandwich with one slice of roast beef? Never again.

As long as you know what to expect here then it's an overall good experience. If you're used to eating salads, soups and sandwiches at high end restaurants don't expect that kind of quality here because you aren't going to get it. Stopped in last night to get take out for my family. We did the U Pick 2 deal, got an array of the Apple Fuji Salad (dressing way way way too sweet almost like a candy flavor) BBQ chicken salad (again dressing tasted like it was loaded with sugar), Mac n Cheese (awesome according to my sister who is a mac n cheese connoisseur or so she thinks) Frontega Chicken Sandwich (delish) and Broccoli Cheddar Soup (YUM, how this is only 210 calories I don't know because it tasted extra creamy and cheesy but good nonetheless) Also grabbed an iced green tea while I waited, so clutch and refreshing. Upon waiting I overheard a lady order bread for her side, but asked for whole wheat! Where have I been I didn't know they offered whole wheat bread on the side. Now, they were busy, it was prime time dinner hour but I really wanted to switch my order and get whole wheat bread instead. So I asked the ladies making the food if they would mind switching all of our side breads to whole wheat and to my surprise they did so with hesitation, even threw a couple extra pieces in there for us. I don't know if they were being so accommodating because the manager was standing right now but it was great! I like the way they packaged up all the food for us, everything was in a sealed container, no change of spillage. Over all the food was fine, not high quality but not terrible. read more

Worst ever.....total attitude from employees..,ran out of of butter in the middle of the afternoon!???? Across from a stop n shop yet... They suck. Skip this store...go to Fireside or smashburger right next door instead. read more

The food is okay for a fast food place but they ALWAYS get my order wrong! I order through the app so it's written down for them but they still get it wrong! I only order from here through their app when I don't have a lot of time. You can definitely get better quality food for the same price somewhere else. Their food is still pretty processed ( meats like chicken and cold cuts). My favorite thing is the broccoli cheese soup. I also like their breakfast sandwich ( I customize them and add veggies) and coffee drinks but other than that they seem to got rid of all my favorite items of their menu. read more

Where do I begin?! The order Kiosk was dirty. The "mask on chin" guy who placed my order on the counter and called my name, appeared to be very miserable, and apparently needs a refresher course on proper customer service. The person who prepared my order, got it wrong. Not what I expect from Panera, however, this was my first time at this (Northport/Commack) Panera. Management/Owner, get it together. read more

Ordered a dozen bagels but only received 11 - not even a dozen. I can go to my local bagel store, get better bagels and they even give me 13 when I purchase 1 dozen. I don't even mind spending more money for a true count and decent bagels. I used to go to Panera several times a month for breakfast and lunch but that has definitely changed - it's been months since I've been there. read more

I'd really like to like Panera but again, I was disappointed in their food. The turkey chili was very salty. The Southwestern salad had what seemed like salty Fritos in it. The best part of my meal was the baguette. I really want to like their food but every visit has sadly been a disappointment. read more

The food here is good, however, service leaves allot to be desired. We had to wait in line to order (no big deal) but register people stop taking people on the line and start taking phone orders. Heck - I'm standing here trying to buy food and you're ignoring me. Then I finally place my order - I pay and the register person hands me my receipt and walks away. No buzzer or cup for the drink I ordered. I had to ask someone else to get these for me. Frankly - this is the last time I'll come to this Panera. read more

Went for a bowl of soup and a sandwich. Both were very tasty but the soup could have been hotter. A good staple for a good lunch, decent selection on food, beverages and desserts. Coffee is always hot and fresh. Caio for now. read more

Absolutely the best management at this Panera. Kim and the other gentleman (never got his name - sorry!) have always made it right if an order is ever incorrect. They are simply stellar, which is why we order from them. We order individually and also for catering. Recently, they have been the easiest to order from for delivery with COVID-19 going on. Thank you for always taking care of us! read more

I've been to Panera a million times and have never found anything like this in my salad. What appeared to be clay or mud or something all in my lettuce. Please see accompanying picture if you'd like to be grossed out. So upset. read more

Panera Bread - It was a Thai chicken salad....topped with black mush??? - Sandwiches Near Me - East Northport, New York

Autumn squash soup is delicious! I look forward to it every Fall. It's creamy and flavorful. I chose the soup and classic grilled cheese off the You Pick Two menu. The grilled cheese was soft, crunchy, cheesy and good. Nothing special but great for a lunch. They also have unsweetened iced teas which I like, good coffee and an awesome strawberry rhubarb mini loaf which is under 300 calories and soooo good! Perfect for a little treat once in a while. Even though we have plenty of delis across Long Island, as a woman there are usually lots of men behind the counters harassing me with their eyes so I tend to stay away from those places and am able to go into Panera without having to deal with that ;) read more

If I could give it less than one star I would. I went there this morning at 8:50 am, had to travel an extra two miles opposite of the direction I was going in and had to sit in traffic for 20-25 minutes just getting there. Then as I go inside finally, I am the only one on line at the registers and I stand there for a good five minutes while nearly 6 employees walk around without even acknowledging me and just look at me and pass by. Then finally one girl notices me and comes to the register. I order a bowl of tomato soup and she says it won't be ready till 9 am. It was 8:55 at the time! Really?! I was already pissed off with traveling farther and sitting in traffic and now this? So I take a Panera menu and ask the girl to write the Panera store number so I can let the franchise know what's going on at their locations. The girl doesn't seem to understand this and doesn't seem like she speaks English well and goes to the back and brings a manager out front. I tell him I've picked up soup earlier that 9 before at other locations. He tells me that no Panera serves soup before 10 and they shouldn't be. And he say they "just" opened at 5/6 am and it's not ready in time. I know soup doesn't take 3-4 hours to make even from scratch. I love Panera and their soup but I will not be going back there. This experience ruined it for me. read more

This is my second time coming here and each experience has been "meh." I will not give this location a third chance. The Stony Brook one is worth the drive over this one. I can understand running out of bread bowls (first time) but running out of a staple soup like broccoli cheddar soup is silly.. especially since they have them packaged in the back and only warm them up. This location must be seriously miss-managed as the staff is already packing stuff away and cleaning for close up, with hours left to spare until closing. read more

Panera Bread - Brocolli cheddar soup and cob salad! absolute favorite.. shame that they ran out at bread bowls - Sandwiches Near Me - East Northport, New York

Minus one star because after confirming with the cashier three times that my salad would be sans chicken, of course it had chicken. Quick fix though, and the food was delicious as always. read more

I heart panera. There are days where I wonder if I should quit my job in finance and open up a panera store. Mac and cheese is my favorite and I have yet to taste a sandwich I did not like. Salad portions are huge and not boring. read more

They got rid of all the good stuff they had. No more BBQ chicken salad no more Italian sandwich and cheese danish.

This place raised the hairs on the back of my spine. I ordered a muffin top but they gave me a muffin bottom. Someone took a bite of my grilled cheese and still served it to me. My chocolate chipper was too chippy. My brownie was too brown. My smoothie was too smooth. Dont go to this horrifying establishment. Sincerely , The old lady in the corner of Panera read more

Guy came out to our car in mask to give us our food. Very nice guy. Food is good and hot.

Long lines, but they also offer mobile ordering as well as the option to use an automated ordering screen in the restaurant. Cinnamon crunch bagels and pink ribbon bagels are my favorite, along with the steak panini, Fuji apple salad, and any of the soups. Bread is delicious and fresh (as it should be in a bread bakery). Seating is always available quickly, and I like the buzzers so people don't have to crowd around the pick up counter to get their tray. Downsides? The chicken for salads isn't my cup of tea, and the desserts tend to be a bit on the dry side. But the green tea makes up for that in my book! read more

Until recently I never really ate at a Panera Bread as I tend to stay away from chains but they don't feel so chainy in both atmosphere and quality of food. Went for lunch which was more than good. I got the Pick Two Combo--half of the Turkey Avocado Sandwich and a strawberry poppy seed salad. Both of which were really good. My friend had their Sourdough Bread Bowl soup which he said was very good as well. I was full when we left. The staff was really friendly at this place and they keep it clean. They also have Free Wi-Fi. I'll be back. read more

This is the last time I will try this location. Although it is geographically convenient, there are better Panera locations. There is always a wait. Now, they have a staff member at the door to guide you where you should go. There are always two cash registers, so I'm not sure why this guidance is necessary. Service is slow. The employees are friendly but have little or no knowledge regarding their products. The tables are gummy and sticky. The drink machines were also dirty and not well maintained. The soup was watery. My sandwich and my friend's panini were both made wrong. The bread was fresh, but the vegetables were old and wilted. Check your food for accuracy before you leave if you order take out!!! The restroom was clean and well stocked with fresh hand soap and paper products. The parking lot gets very crowded. I prefer Cosi or Au Bon Pain. read more

I'm done with Panera , I went there twice in the past month and was disappointed both times.. the second time I walked out... I asked for a combo sandwich with avocado , turkey and bacon .. they served it . I said where is the avocado , they said , we are out .. that was the first time .. I say , tell your customer ahead of time that your signature sandwich is going to be missing an ingredient.. the second time I ordered the sandwich , I asked if they had avocados , the server said no , we are out of them.. cmon Panera ..
