I've not been to a panera bread in a long time. The food is the same as it's always been with one exception. The sandwiches are a lot smaller than they used to be. That's not a big deal to me. I'm not a big eater anyway. The food was pretty tasty. I had the Asiago steak and my mom had the chicken and rice soup. We were both happy. I guess the rising inflation rate has reached Panera Bread as well..my steak sandwich was more like a bread sandwich, so I would suggest getting a soup with some protein to compliment this pick two meal. As for the creamy tomato soup..maybe ask them to run it through the microwave once more to make sure it gets to room temperature. read more

I've been coming to this Panera location for years and have never received anything other than exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly, efficient, and hard working and the food is always on point. Would definitely recommend this location if you're looking for a fast, well prepared meal that feels so much healthier than fast food. Given that the food at Panera is pretty consistently good and consistently priced, no surprises there. I've never really had a bad meal there--I know what I like. Two days ago though, I ordered a hot panini and in the middle, tomatoes were still ice cold. Not pleasant. The layout of this place isn't my favorite--the seating arrangement is a bit weird. With all of the Paneras I've visited, I wonder how poorly the employees are treated because people never seem happy there. I had an adorable cashier last time I was there, and I was actually shocked, in a good way, but still surprised to interact with an employee who isn't miserable. I thanked the guys who made my food, and they definitely heard me but were too engrossed in their loud conversation about a party the night before to acknowledge and offer a "you're welcome." Wife ordered soup and it was served cold. Took it up to the kitchen to ask them to heat it up they told me to do it myself at the serve yourself microwave. Classy! My $7 panini was served on the microwave tray they had heated it up in and was still cold on the inside. Didn't bother to take that back as I knew the drill. I haven't been a fan of Panera bread until I went to another location for breakfast near to work I have fallen in love with the bacon egg and cheese ciabatta but that is about it. Went here one evening and ordered a sandwich chips and drink that cost more then some good meals elsewhere. The atmosphere was like a typical fast food place apart from the color and lighting. The others I have been to have a very special feel and atmosphere to them The service and friendliness at pretty much all of them are not up to the best. But I found that is the same with most in the area I will eat here and others again but only if I am very hungry and don't want to go to the many food plces around. read more

Not a bad place to grab a quick bite for lunch, but food is not terribly creative and is also somewhat pricey. Panera Bread is a chain, so the menu items are all pretty uniform from one location to the next. For example, soups choices include chicken noodle, broccoli cheddar, french onion, etc. I have ordered the Mediterranean veggie sandwich several times, especially since there are very few vegetarian items offered on the menu. The bread is soft and the sandwich is tasty, although it lacks some finesse, because the veggies are usually cut very thick and chunky, and all of the filling/toppings are piled only in the center of the bread instead of spread evenly throughout the sandwich (pet peeve). The soups are fine, and the baked treats are pretty good. Even when I don't order a drink but my husband does, you'll end up paying nearly $20 for lunch, and that's even if you order the "specials" that they're offering that day. Bottom line is, we don't have a burning desire to eat here, but if we are in the area and need to eat quickly, it's an acceptable option. read more

Well well well ...looks like this Panera has gotten a lot better in the past year. I don't know if something changed with the management or what but it seems to be better now. It was never real bad before just was ok. I usually get the tomato and mozzarella ciabatta... It was cooked good this time, thicker and not burnt or sloppy, just right. As far as flavor goes- not sure if it's worth the 700 calories.... The service was fantastic. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door- I almost blushed. I felt like the next contestant on a game show..haha. People just seemed like they appreciated their job. Soap box- I hate going to places where staff acts like their job is the worst thing ever- be happy you can work. Off soap box... Anyway- I am always a critic about soda machines (most places its always too syrupy or too much carbon) well, Panera's Pepsi tasted better than it does out of the bottle. Perfect balance. I wish they would give The Loop some damn advice on how to work the lines on a soda machine.. Anyway Panera is overpriced but tasty and if you want a good salad - they have delicious ones. read more

This panera has really stepped it up. I love the new kiosks, and they are right there to help if needed. They give you a free cookie just for using it. The managers jump right in to help during busy times and seen to truly care what you think about the food. A lot of personal attention for a chain in a busy shopping center. read more

After our scholarly review of the Panera bread we determined that the food was decent the service it was exemplary and the pastries were lacking. To start off with the food was very good my Tuscan sandwich with avocado was very well prepared and I enjoyed it enjoy many things about it secondly the service is very nice they brought the food to us so it is very helpful and good but the lady was slow ordering in front of us which really slow down our productivity of our meal the pastries are extremely lucky I'm not sure what you had that new Siri call macaroons are they don't look like macaroons and there's some sort of cinnamon cake a little goes to days old so I think it is improve on that OK thank you **done with voice typing so sorry for lack of punctuation** read more

I have to compliment this branch of Panera on its excellent management. The staff is so friendly and helpful; it makes choosing this branch a favorite. The "pick-two" is reasonable in price and calories, and having an apple instead of chips is a great idea. I am a fan of Panera bread, but not this location. I've been there 3 times recently and I have had tummy issues each time. I have also ordered a Chicken Caesar sandwich to go with no onions twice. I enjoy Panera Bread, it's an easy go-to eatery when you are too lazy to make lunch. This location is just as it is, a Panera Bread. The food is what you'd expect, and it's tastes fine to me. The service could be better - both times I've gone, the staff member got frustrated that I didn't know right away what I wanted. It's not my fault Panera Bread never has the meal descriptions on their menu board! I got no pecan braid, no chicken on one salad and, to top it off, three knives and a single fork. The food here is good, too expensive for the quality, but it's good. But it's a great place to get homework done if you're in the the long haul. Not only can you get coffee and pastries, you can get lunch and dinner! You don't have to move all day. Plus! You can snack on the free samples of bread when you get board. My only gripe is that outlets are not available in all corners of the store. And if you're there during lunch, you get booted off the internet after 30 mins because they don't want people camping there during peak hours. read more

Poor management, poor quality. Submitted an online order valued at over $90 at 11:14 with an estimated delivery time of 12:14-12:31. Did not receive a call to notify me of delays until after 12:30. When I called to speak with the manager to determine where the food was or discuss the issue, I was informed that they would not speak to me because they were too busy. Additionally, the attention to quality assurance is an ongoing problem. 8 out of 10 times delivery or rapid pick up orders are incorrect. read more

We love Panera's salads and so go here often (like, 3+ times/month often). The food is good, the same as any other in the chain, but sometimes the service is a little lax. We've gotten the wrong order once or twice, and have had to correct them to include something that should've been included countless times. And don't ever do a phone in order. I've tried calling ahead to place an order for pickup, and every time I've done it, it's been wrong (usually not made at all, or made and given to another customer). We go because it's close to our house and we like the food for a cheap pickup dinner, but the staff experience leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Our family eats at Panera frequently and it is in our regular rotation when we are looking for a healthier choice. I like their Thai Chicken Salad and the Cuban panni are my personal favorites and the kids like the ceasar salads along with the grilled cheese. I just got food poisoning from eating the chipotle chicken sandwich last night. The worst night I've had in years.

This is a nice Panera but I found the parking congested and the dining area was tough to walk around in as well.

This is the worst Panera I've ever been to. I keep thinking it would get better, but it never does, so I won't ever be going back. This last time the place was filthy, the trash was overflowing from the container, and there were no towels in the bathroom. My sandwich was really bad, and the unsweet tea tasted like they forgot to wash out the container from whatever was in there before. I drink tea all the time, and you really can't screw up plain black tea. Yet somehow theirs always tastes terrible. I've been here before when I've ordered chicken noodle soup and there is hardly any chicken or any noodles in it... almost all just broth. I guess its just that they can't get any good employees. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. There are much better places nearby. read more

Had a great experience here, I ordered a sandwich that I thought was toasted (probably my mistake), and when I asked the kitchen staff to toast it, they remade the sandwich completely for me. I was impressed that they made no issue about it, but cheerfully and specifically asked me how I would like the sandwich made - and it turned out great! I used to love Panaras, until I began to get sick on their food...I think its something in their bread or soups as I consistently became ill after eating their bagels, breads, and soups..stomach aches, nausea, dizzy. Got tested for gluten sensitivity and that came out negative, so its something else in their food, maybe msg or "hidden" msg in form of autolyzed yeast or some other flavor enhancer? I stopped going for over a year, then tried again yesterday , cup of cream of chicken with rice and french bread chunk. tasted great but did not finish as began to feel "off"...had same symptoms occur, but not as intense since didn't have as much. then I went online and saw across the country there seems to be an issue, especially with their creamed soups and breads. so not going back, despite convenience. bty, I was shocked at price..it is also now overpriced. read more

Stopped by Panera Bread (Witherspoon Drive, Durham) for lunch and a dozen take home bagels; seems simple enough. The order of bagels was absolutely clear as far as the receipt description for bagel selection. When I got home the selection was major wrong. I had stopped by the local wine shop prior to lunch and had a bottle of wine in my car. My wife said it should be alright even though it was a hot day because normally it doesn't take long to eat lunch at Panera. After placing the order I waited 20 minutes before going to the counter to see how much longer it would be. The big mouth guy behind the counter was abusive and never did answer my question. Last time for Panera for me; they need to get some decent help in there; people that can fill a simple order and courteous people that can give you an answer without name calling. read more
