Panera bread has great service and excillent sandwhiches. They probaly have the best food in town. The prices are a little high but its worth it. I highly recommend you try this place out if you have never been there. read more

Wish I could give it two different reviews. One for inside and one for the drive thru. The only reason I gave 3 stars and not 2, is because a majority of the time the food is good and correct, especially when dining in. On the other hand, the drive thru needs some serious work. More often than not, something is missing, incorrect, etc. The last time I called to let a manager know my order was wrong, he offered to send something in the mail and I never received it, which is why I'm writing this review and did not call. I asked for the chipotle chicken avocado and received a frontega chicken panini. I also asked for a brioche roll instead of baguette while ordering, and once I looked in the bag I realized they didn't put it in and had to ask again. It's frustrating when this happen more often than not. From here on out I will be checking the whole order before leaving, guess I should've done that from the start. read more

This Panera rocks! I go every Wednesday with a friend. The food is always prepared quickly and the servers are very friendly. They even come around and grab our dishes because we usually stay a while. One night, we even stayed past close a few minutes and they just let us know they were going to be a little noisy cleaning up but that we were welcome to stay. Excellent customer service!! A few days ago I tried couple of the new bakery items including a couple croissants. In my opinion they were over cooked. The outside was really crispy. It broke off in pieces and I ended up wearing most of it. The inside was mostly hollow. Croissants are usually soft and delicate layers of pastry. I won't buy them again. One of my favorite places to eat in DeKalb. As a vegetarian, they have a lot of options to choose from including soups and sandwiches that are vegetarian. But if the soup doesn't say vegetarian, it's not. Even the broccoli cheddar has chicken stock in it. I once found a piece of chicken in my salad. But I'm pleased 95% of the time. If they're busy, you sandwich may be thrown together really quickly and falling apart. read more

I usually order Panera to go after grocery shopping. This location has been getting my order wrong on multiple occasions. I've talked to the manager, which gave us coupons. Problem is we always order on our phone and do rapid pick up. So, This time I got thoroughly fed up with them now. Ordered my daughter a large mac n cheese. Husband goes in and grabs the bag and we're going through it to make sure it's correct (got home and my sandwich wasn't there one time.). There's a small mac n cheese. Husband goes in and they tell him that they ran out of large containers but put the correct amount in a small container. The small wasn't even filled completely. Get charged way too much for what you get and now I'm getting charged for even less. Will not be going here anymore! This was the final straw that broke the camel's back!! I understand that it's fast food. But seriously, quit trying to screw customers over even more. I've complained to corporate about this location and they say is to take it up with the manager of the store. Corporate doesn't care. read more

I LOVE Panera Bread and the location in Dekalb is great! It is still your familiar come in and sit down location with great food and the same old warm welcoming. I think the prices are a bit on the high end, especially for bread and soup. The portions aren't too small but most would probably like more, I would highly recommend this place and if you are in the mood for soup and have never been here, you really need to try it out! read more

I decided to try their new 'Order Online Rapid Pick-Up' option. You can customize your order online then go to the restaurant and pick it up (picking it up via drive through would be even better). I went in to pick up my order and decided to ask how exactly it worked (since it was my first time). The cashier was friendly and explained... you order online, pay with your credit card and pick it up in the store. It will be sitting on a "rapid pick-up self" Easy right? A little TOO easy if you ask me. Your food is just sitting there, no warmer. Expect your hot soup or sandwich will have dropped in temperature some, as they start preparing it 10 minutes before the pick up time. Also, there is no attendant. Its in front of the registers against the wall where people order. They do not verify your name or even ask when someone grabs a bag. When I expressed my concern the cashier (still very friendly) explained "they tested it and had no problems." My bag was placed in the W section but nothing was labeled on the bag, not even the receipt. In general Im a little concerned with the lack of 'security'. Someone could easily grab and bag and walk out with my pre-paid meal. There is no checks and balance that the right person got the right items. Which leads me to my final comment. Once I got home I realized they left an ingredient off my customized sandwich and I asked for extra sauce (and was charged for) but there was barely anything on there. I am getting extremely tired of being "handled" as a customer lately. When I was trained to serve the public, I was taught the customer was always right and to do whatever it takes to make sure customer leaves with a smile on their face. Lately, if I even have a question or a gentle suggestion for improvement, I am confronted with management incessantly making excuses for themselves and their establishment, and talking to me as if I were an aggravated lunatic with a gun. Turning a simple conversation into an argument, where in fact, without a doubt, I am wrong! Simply trying to call me down before I start taking people out. Thing is, I wasn't even upset until I started feeling manipulated and condescended to. I just wanted to know if I could buy tea bags without the water. Don't make the same mistake folks!!! read more

Love, love, love it! I always get the grilled chicken Caesar salad and a tomato and mozzarella flatbread. I occasionally get the macaroni and cheese instead. It's excellent! It is very pricey, but in my opinion, it's certainly worth the price. I try to come here for lunch whoever I can. read more

My family and I used to go to this Panera quite a bit. However, the quality has gotten to the point that I no longer am comfortable going here. Paninis are usually luke warm. Soup is hit or miss, often it tastes like it has been sitting too long. Finally, the last couple of times I was in there I observed workers handling money with gloves and then handling food.
