Food is ok they do have an excellent service wow it is extremely crowded because it is new here in dekalb huge long line but it moves super fast service there is a gentlemen he is a floor keeper that comes around asking you to see if everything is ok you can get free tea refills I love the ambiance a little bit too loud for me I would prefer music on the back ground instead of listening to the loud conversations the food was ok the sub has very little meat and a little bit too salty for taste The price for me for 1/2 a sandwich and a cup of soup and a one size lemonade $23 way to expensive because it did not have no salad on it just the meat a very small amount of red onions the meat looked shaved I can do this at home but my son wanted to try it out Good for lunch time to come here and Chat with friends and Family. Welcome to DeKalb! When the White Castle closed at this location before COVID, we were sad. Then McAlister's Deli came in. The place is completely redone - you wouldn't recognize it. Food wise, oh was this place good. My wife ordered The New Yorker with corned beef, pastrami, swiss and spicy brown mustard on marbled rye, and I had their Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar, which had black angus roast beef, sharp cheddar, red onions, and horseradish sauce on a toasted ciabatta. Listen carefully when you make your order - they ask you if you want a pickle. The pickles are good. My wife went with their Choose 2 option, and got a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. I got the regular sandwich with a bag of Ms. Vickers Salt and Vinegar chips. While they don't have the fountain where you can get it, the staff makes regular tours and offers free refills for soft drinks, and also asks you if your food is okay. My wife enjoyed her New Yorker, and I enjoyed the Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar. It had enough Horseradish to taste good, and the drinks tasted great. We dined in for the 1st time & it was nice. Counter service was friendly & food came out pretty quick & with a smile. Sandwiches were good & soup was piping hot. $45 was waaay high for 2 Sandy's, 2 soups & 2 sweet teas. read more

So happy we have another choice to eat at in Dekalb. I went a couple of weeks after opening and the staff is great. And I've also had some events catered at work by them. I would suggest eating at the tasting as opposed to take out because you get a lot more food (salad specifically). Not impressed with the soups so far, but the sandwiches and salads are good. Other than they, I am told, had some delivery issues so hey currently don't have some items like he Cubans, they will not disappoint. they seem to be consistent from one location to the other. WARNING: When ordering their spuds, you get 2 to 3 times the size most places sell and they heap the toppings on. The salads are he size you'd expect, however the topping are heaped on there also. his location used to be a White Castle, so the dining area is not o big, however, unlike most McAllister's in he area, hey do have a pick up window if you order ahead. Wish they had not moved out here as now we will be ordering out more. Highly recommended. read more

I just want to say this place has really fallen off. The food seems sloppy and rushed and the service is absolutely terrible. I will say when I go in the day time it is alright, but when I go any time around 6 it it terrible!!!!!!!! What was the most disturbing to me was when I was ordering a young women in a manger shirt was screaming, running around, doing all this stuff not making sure the workers are doing good. It was terrible. Now the most recent time I went there was a girl with black hair and glasses, flirting the whole time with one of the cooks. I was disturbed. The GM is AWESOME!! She is amazing and just very good at what she does!! Went a couple of weeks ago and walked in and a couple of employees just stared at us ( male & female) like it was a bother for us to be there. Felt very uncomfortable but when I saw the GM I did mention it to her. The food was ok, some of my lettuce was old., didn't trust eating it . Place was clean. read more

First time ordering here I was not pleased with the customer service. The girl walked over to the window like she hated her job, didn't even say anything to me. I told her I had an order, she handed me my food with the boxes in the bag flipped nearly sideways. Again didn't even say anything to me. It's sad that the young generation hates working and most all of them probably think working fast food is stressful. It's not that hard to come to work happy and cheerful even if you have to act it as part of good customer service. read more

Ordering on line was a bit confusing, but I worked it out. Pick up was great. Just drive up and your food is ready. It is pick up only, so you don't have to wait for others to be served. I was not used to the type of sauerkraut they put on my reuben and really did not like it. The sandwich had plenty of meat, but it had no corn beef flavor. It was made carefully, not thrown together like some places. Mac and cheese side was good. Tasted like regular ice tea to me, nothing special as tauted. Will I go back? Yes, to try a few more items. How long will it last in DeKalb? I give it two years at the most. City of DeKalb is saving me $100 on taxes, but the DeKalb Public Library is requesting $50 increase, so that leaves me with $50 left over to buy two or three meals here for the year.
