A classic family dinner place. You can find folks in their Sunday best, and their mom's birthday celebration. Classy and delicious, a pretty good value. I recommend their delicious steaks, and the fish is delicious as well. The sides are filling as well, so don't fill up on the complementary vegetable crudité, and crackers assortment they serve with every dinner. The service is always friendly and helpful. Don't have steak this time but I can say the grilled chicken and Alfredo was very good. Also, as usual, the baked French onion soup and dinner salad with creamy garlic was amazing. Well, we have been coming to Sorrentos for many years and this is the first time that the food was completely wrong for all three of our our four guests that we attended, the ribs were rancid and dry, my mother-in-law, but steak was so tough. She could not even chew on it., and I ordered the prime rib, which I love, and I had never had a problem, but this time it was not just medium. It was completely raw and super tough. I was very disappointed. The salad was a miserable letters, and it was not even a complete salad not a tomato or it's like cucumber on it. A charming old school supper club-like place. Went there on a snowy Valentine's Day 2025, and the place was packed. Had a reservation and was seated quickly, but service was a bit slow, likely due to the weather and crowdedness of the place. You can expect the requisite relish tray with cheese dip and crackers + the iceberg lettuce salad with the house dressing as your first course. I had a NY Strip, which was better than average (choice, not prime) and my wife had the filet, which was also better than average. A nice place with above average food out in the country. read more

I am a picky Italian and I can tell you that this is one of the best lasagna I ever had anywhere. Three layers of noodles and ricotta cheese. The meatballs were delicious beef and pork. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming but that's about it. The only thing that was good was the soup, I order chicken Alfredo, the sauce was decent but the chicken had zero seasoning. My partner ordered steak and also lacked seasoning. Overall felt like a nursing home, a lot of older people dinning there. It's extremely dated and dark but overall felt clean. We tried this place again & it's still below average I love that you get bread & crackers with their spreadable cheese free All dinners come with soup & salad which is also nice, except the salad is just iceberg with a couple tiny pieces of shredded carrots in it. Maybe throw in a crouton or tomato The soup every time I go is minestrone, which is one of 2 soups that I dislike, the other one being French onion which they have every night Me and a son ordered tortellini w/meat sauce. The sauce had no meat, portion was smallish and tortellini was the quality of the frozen bags in the freezer section. It was really terrible. Chef boyardee is better. Wife had prime rib which is usually good but her piece was really fatty & grizzly Other son had fettuccine Alfredo which wasn't very tasty either but a larger portion Free bread was 4 little pieces that we ate with soup & were never offered more. We could've asked but we didn't Bill was over $130 B4 tip for 4 dinners with sodas/lemonades We'll stay away for another couple years read more

Daily specials are not true to size/weight. For example, there are 8 oz. Filet Mignon specials certain days. However, the Filet is closer to 6 oz at most. The martinis have also been skimped within the last few months. They used to be filled to the top. Now they fill the glass a little over half full and definitely not worth the price anymore. Been coming here a long time and disappointed hoping things change. Restaurant clientele is primarily senior citizens. Old school environment. read more

For what they charge, the quality should be much better. I have to say that the young bus staff member was EXCELLENT! Before he even refilled our water glasses, he was smart enough to ask if there was any alcohol in the glasses. Adult staff are not as astute as this young guy was! Hats off! We went to Art & Alma's, but it was over an hour wait because they only had 1 server, so I asked the manager if she could recommend another place. She recommended Sorrentos, but said she hasn't been there in years. So we said thanks and we'll come back another time. We arrived at Sorrentos and were seated right away. The menu looked great and we were starved. The server was not bad at the beginning, but he only came to the table maybe once. Servers are rarely consistent - they're either constantly asking you things while you're chewing, or they disappear. Ours was the latter. Overall, out of 5 dinners, everything was basically just OK, except for 1 filet. The au jus was ok, the canned mushrooms had no flavor at all. The salad was like a bag mix thrown in the bowls, the balsamic was not good, the garlic dressing was good. The baked French onion soup, that I was really looking forward to, had no onions in it, the cheese on top was barely melted, and it was lukewarm. A pet peave of mine is barely warm or cold food that's supposed to be served hot. My double baked potato was not bad; but it was cold. One of the 3 filets had marbled fat in it. A filet should NEVER be served with thick, tough, marbled fat, and it should have been taken off the bill without hesitation. Unfortunately the person who ordered it didn't say anything until we were all finished. The server, I'm sure, may have thought we were just trying to get it comped. Totally not the case. We showed him the thick tough fat that was in the center of the filet. This filet was also BUTTERFLIED, so the chef had to see it before and after they cooked it. The strange thing was that when we showed it to the server, he said "well I watched him cut it" ....Soooo, servers stand in back and watch the Chef cut and prepare food? Doubtful, and a strange response. He never said or suggested that it be removed from the bill. If he didn't have the authority, he should have brought the Mgr to the table. He sluffed it off and said, "Do you want to see the dessert menu?" Never offering the person a free dessert, just asking if we wanted to see a dessert menu. We said no thank you. We paid the bill and to show that we were not just complainers, we still left a 20% tip - totally not worth it, but we did. Before we left I told the manager about the filet. I told her the server did nothing. She offered a gift certificate which was fair, but I said thank you, but no thank you and we left. Bad day, short staffed or busy, I get it, but when people spend their money at a restaurant and the food is not as good or better than at home? It's not worth going out. And when the service is sub par, it makes the entire experience worse. read more

We met a couple at the restaurant to help our wives celebrate their 44 years of nursing. They graduated from nursing school together. The food was very good and they have an excellent selection of food. If you are at the race track or out in the area you will want to stop in for lunch or dinner.
