ChicKen salad with Chicken and Wild Rice soup
    Kevin G.

Enjoyed our lunch today at Panera Bread. My wife loves the Chicken Salad they make here because they do not go crazy with the onions as other places do. She loved her soup, Wild Chicken Rice. I had the Turkey Chili Stuffed Bread Bowl which was wonderful. This is about the only thing I eat at Panera Bread a lot better than the last Atlanta Bread I was at. Chili here is very moist and must be when you put it in the bread

I asked for no tomato & corn. The Chipotle Aioli Drizzle is really good. I asked for more & added bacon. They were out of avocado. The Mac & cheese was a pretty small serving, it's already a small bowl. They forgot the bacon & only gave a small amount when I asked. My teen loved the sandwich. The dining area was very clean & employees were friendly

    Turkey chilli with argula.

Maybe I am lucky, but have gotten good service here. First, the food. You know what you are getting at PB, they all have similar menu. Today was cold, so opted for the turkey chilli with arugula on top (arugula is good on almost anything). Yummy! Pic enclosed. My other go to choice is the Thai chicken salad. Another nice thing is PB posts the calorie count on their menu. My target is 700 calories a meal, lots of choices meet that criteria at PB. Service at the counter can be slow, so here is the trick. Order at the kiosk, grab a pager, find a table, connect to their free WiFi, ... And before you know it you'll have food! Great interior with lots of seating and fireplace. Super clean. Ample parking too. Pics of interior and exterior enclosed. Servers were friendly. Manager stopped by too, to make sure everything was ok. Across from the outlet malls. The food court in the outlet mall is very mediocre. Worth the short drive here. Enjoy!

The service at this Panera is a hit or miss. I've been to the drive-thru during a lunch rush and received my order in a timely manner. I've also placed an order inside when it was dead and my order took a very long time. Customer service is also a hit or miss. I've experienced great customer service, but have also encountered some not so friendly staff members. The only consistent in my visits is fortunately the food. I haven't had any issues. My orders have come out as described and tasted great! There's plenty of parking available. The space is clean, open, and naturally bright. Nice, modern interior. There's even a fireplace. Plenty of seating and great for working. There are lots of outlets to plug in your devices as well as semi-private areas to work quietly. My go-to orders are: Frontega Chicken Panini $8.59 Modern Greek with Quinoa Salad $9.99 Vanilla Cinnamon Roll $2.79 Again, I've never had any issues with the taste or quality of my food. The Frontega chicken panini comes with basil, focaccia, mozzarella, red onions, Chipotle mayonnaise, smoked pulled chicken, salt & pepper, and sliced tomatoes, served warm. Yummy! The modern Greek with quinoa salad is composed of feta, cucumber, kale, almonds, kalamata olives, Greek dressing, quinoa tomato sofrito blend, and romaine lettuce. I sometimes add grilled chicken if I am ordering a whole salad. Love the textures and flavors. The vanilla cinnamon roll is to die for! Especially when you get it first thing in the morning when it's fresh. Satisfies my sweet tooth everytime! Most of their pastries do. They seem to have a decent selection of pastries, even in the afternoon. Panera will always be one of those "safe" places for me, as far as food goes. There's something for everyone. There's definitely room for improvement in this location, and I hope they only get better from here.

Atlanta Bread Tuna Sandwich - no comparison to the Panera version
    Brian D.

Now THIS is a TUNA sandwich... from Atlanta Bread. The last time ordered from Panera there was more lettuce and hardly any tuna!

Dining room, very clean on our dinner time visit.

Ordered a chipotle chicken melt through the app and it ended up having a hair in it. I was too far into my drive when I noticed.

Drive-thru takes an insane amount of time! Waited there for over 30 minutes and there was barely even a line.

Where's the meat? Salads are scrimping. If you like bread there are your place. Really not worth the cost. Place was clean.

The only problems were: -Patrons packed into every available inch. Our row of chairs was touching the backs of the chairs behind us. No room to adjust seating. -No room to store coats and packages except keep them in our laps or try to put on floor (not a good choice) -Heavy traffic all around us. Definitely not an intimate setting but great if one didn't want to communicate with their guest. -EXTREAMLY NOISY!!!! Couldn't even converse with those at my table -Food was delicious and seemed authentic. Served rapidly. Was not able to enjoy cocktail because meal arrived so quickly. -Female server was very fast with refills, take home boxes, and our check. She appeared tired! -Very little waiting space at the front area. Probably won't be a problem in warmer weather and wait outside. -Would have been nice to have a menu while waiting to decide on drinks and food choices. -Menus large in size and hard to juggle i0n a large party Will probably go back due to quality of food. Will not go on a peak eating time. -No room for wheelchairs and maneuvering hard due to crowd. Plenty of parking because restaurant was upside mall area.

(I forgot to ask for it once, and the waitress rolled her eyes when she had to go back to the kitchen for something she should've asked about in the first place). A friend swears by the beef liver with onions, also. But the sides and desserts could use a little work. The side salad is nothing special (and they bring it with the rest of your meal). The mac 'n' cheese is soupy stuff people make with a mix. The desserts also seem to be short-cut things using mixes: I couldn't even eat the piece of cake I had last time; after one taste, the bitter fake icing completely turned me off. The cobblers taste like they use canned fruit fillings. And the bread pudding had a sickly sweet canned sauce poured over it; it was inedible. I don't expect gourmet meals from a "home cooking" restaurant, but I do expect the food to be a step above being poured out of a can or made with a mix. Also, just a note: it's rude to ask the person at the table who gets dessert free what they want and ignore the other people at the table. You could at least say, "Dessert doesn't come with your meal, but would you like to order a dessert?" The good sides here, again, are the fried things: fried okra, fried green tomatoes, etc. I suppose these are the things that keep me coming back and keep my rating of this restaurant at a 4. Most of the servers are great as well. Despite my criticism of some of the sides and the desserts, it's still one of my favorite places to eat in Dawsonville.

I also enjoyed the brisket and pork belly. The meats were good cuts, without excessive fat. The hot food items are plentiful with japchae, cheese corn, tteokbokki, chicken wings, fried rice, egg rolls, and mashed potatoes. I also saw shrimp cocktail, seaweed salad, kimbap, kimchi, and edamame. For dessert, they have fruit, banana pudding, mango jelly (yum!), and a variety of ice cream. The service was exceptional. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. The bathrooms are clean and well-lit as you make your way there. Our table was lovely and private, perfect for heartfelt conversation, and our server, Bailey, was cheerful as always and so accommodating. We started with mussels and the Caesar salad. Both were good, but I can't stop thinking about the buttery deliciousness of the mussels and broth. Honestly, the best I've ever had. My husband and I had the fish and chips: steel-head trout, lightly battered and fried with tartar sauce and malt vinegar. So good! Our daughter had the ribeye and it was out of this world. Perfectly cooked to medium rare, nice sear on the outside and a gorgeous red center. Easily the best steak my daughter and husband (couldn't resist a taste) had ever had. The garlic compound butter is a must-have. Perfect compliment to the steak. We foolishly ended with an incredibly decadent dessert and it, too, was amazing!
