Can not even begin to say how blessed I am to have stopped here. First I asked for a sandwich that wasn't on the menu for my stepfather in the hospital. They totally made it for me. Then they forgot one item on my order. I called them and they were just calling me because they knew they forgot it. The guy who made the stuff brought it to the hospital along with some extra cookies. He apologized profusely, but seriously this is what customer service is all about!!!!! First of the food is really good most of the time. But the last 3 times we've ordered for pick up something is wrong. Last time we got the wrong sandwich, this time there was a bone in one of the chicken salads. But their selection of food and the fact that they tell you all the calories and let you add or remove items via the website is fantastic. read more

We've been to the new location in Coon Rapids several times now and every single time our orders were incorrect and the quality was poor. - Our sandwiches were assembled carelessly (fast food style). - Pickles, soup croutons, and extra sauce/sauce on the side requests forgotten. - Soup warm The drive thru is no longer convenient when we have to pull back around after checking our order and walk back in to get what we ordered and paid for. We've been customers for years but we're both upset and disappointed at this point and won't be returning. Panera Bread has excellent customer service! We placed an online order for delivery and the wrong sandwich was delivered. When I called to let them know the manager was extremely helpful and courteous. He apologized and not only had the correct sandwich delivered by Mitch but delivered a full sandwich (only originally ordered the half sandwich) along with a few cookies and an extra bag of chips. He also provided a full refund for that portion of the order. Needless to say we will be ordering again and sharing our experience with others! read more

Normally, I have had good experiences in the past but this time was a disaster. I stopped there on a day last week when the temps were below zero. It was not busy. I put in my order for take out. The choices were limited due to dietary issues. When I got the order home and opened the bag, both of the sandwiches were wrong. Not only that but what we did get--the bread was completely wet due to the pickled onions on it. I called and the manager was somewhat nice and apologized, but gave me the choice of coming back and getting what we wanted (late in the evening in the sub-zero weather) She said I was out of the delivery area. The other choice was to get a voucher for "part" of the cost. It's a week later and so far, no voucher has arrived in the mail. I'm never going back to Panera. read more

I order from here because they deliver to my work and it's easy. But first my mobile app started saying they don't deliver to me anymore but online they do.. and then I have had 3 wrong orders in a row. Paying for things I don't get getting no toppings for my French onion soup so it's onions and broth.. no butter no utensils stale bread. And I called and said I was supposed to be mailed vouchers for food... 2 months ago never did I called again missing items said they would send a few vouchers no vouchers came told the lady today that I didn't trust she would send any and asked for a refund didn't ask my name or anything I said well do you need my info for a refund she said oh yea I guess I could take that info down... the worst location ever with the most unexperianced managers. I have been to many paneras across the country and this one consistently disappoints at every visit. The cashier yelled at my husband when he ordered an item that wasn't on her screen to "wait a minute" she then informed me that "we are not Caribou Coffee" when I asked for extra foam. When my husband asked for his bagel to be warmed up she pointed at the microwave in the lobby and said "there is a microwave right there." Rude, uncaring staff in need of a corporate intervention. If my kids didn't beg to eat here we wouldn't have stopped, will drive extra to find a different one in the future! read more

Sad to see the good customer service got left at the previous location down the road. Friday afternoon and I wanted to pick up something for my parents. Came here tonight to get dinner and study with a friend. I got everything that I ordered but they seemed to have lost my friends order as 2 separate employees came to our table and asked her if she was waiting for something. Um duh. She FINALLY gets her food but is missing her chips and the cappuccino that they offered her for free so we tell the 2 food runners. After watching these 2 idiots talk and drink from the soda fountain for 10 minutes I went up to the window and asked if I could please get chips and a cappuccino. But then the manager (some scronnie white guy with facial hair) argued with me about if I wanted a latte. I said no we ordered a cappuccino. He continued to argue so finally I just stated "she ordered a cappuccino, that is what she wants" not she why he was even arguing with me about this?? read more

This store is a mess. Family currently likes Panera, but this is changing. Latest issue was a simple on-line order, one of which was a bread bowl. We picked up and took home only to find no bread bowl. When we called, they said, they ran out of bread bowls, that is why we did not have one in our order. Issues are (1) ordering on-line allow you to order items they do not have (2) they do not have the courtesy to tell us that they did not have it when we picked up, and (3) when asked them to send a driver with a replacement order since they messed up, they refused (I expected that). So, we had three meals, not the four ordered. But, they said they would send us a gift certificate for a future meal to cover the cost of the meal they didn't provide. How kind. They also gave us a different cookie than was ordered, because they were apparently out of that cookie as well. Again, they changed without telling us. This is not the first time we have had issues with this store. Looks like we are not the only ones. Disappointed. read more

This is the second time I have had my order screwed up. The first time I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and did not get any dressing. I called the store, they offered to have me come in to get dressing but I live in st. Francis and picked up a salad for when I'm at work. I was not able to leave. They offered to send coupons and took my address but I never received anything. Than today I got the same thing. A Greek salad with chicken and there was no chicken on my salad. Again I'm up in at. Very disappointed with the service. I stopped at 8pm on a Monday night for a salad and baguette, they told me they were out of baguettes and buns! Then I waited for my food for over 7 minutes. Once I finally got my food they forgot the chicken on my salad. I love panara and love that this location has a drive thru but I will not be going back, I will make the extra 5 minute drive to get better service at a different location. read more

I haven't been to Panera for over three years and decided to stop by there after work today 6/15/10. I now remember why I haven't been there for so long. The service was terrible!! The cashier was unfriendly and didn't know up from down. The girl who prepared my food forgot part of my order and when I asked her for the missing item she replied, "Oh yea." My French onion soup was really salty. It tasted like it's been cooking all day and all the water has evaporated. I definitely do not recommend this place. read more

I love panera! It is a good spot for breakfast of for lunch. You can chill by yourself, do work, or have a nice conversation with friends. I love the diversity of the menu and it is worth the small wait you may have to order. The service is almost always good. read more

I love Panera, but this location needs to get it together. Orders are either inaccurate or missing items when you go thru the drive-thru, and they tend to be out of things. Every time I order the Autumn Squash soup, they forget the pumpkin seeds, even when I ask if they're on the soup and when I remind them as I order. Today, again, we ordered 3 bowls - none of which had the seeds - and I even asked them to make sure they weren't forgotten. We get home and no seeds. It's a small thing, but makes a difference. Our 2 salad containers were literally all falling apart, almost lost the salads. If containers are torn and won't close, doesn't common sense tell you that you need another container?! They packed our items and then put the sandwich under other items which equaled a smashed sandwich. Common sense, people!!!! Also, they are always out of baguette for the side. This is literally the 5th time we've gone through the drive thru and they tell us they're out of baguette... AT 6:30PM!!! Are you serious?! Cold weather equals people wanting soup, which means more bread being used for sides. Do they not take that into account when they bake? I've never been so frustrated. They think that offering a slice of bread is the same as a chunk of baguette. It's not, not even close. Disappointed AGAIN. read more

Today's experience was the last straw for me at this location. For the past 6 months my wife and I have been going here (~once every 2 weeks) something is messed up with our order 3/4 times. Tonight I ordered the French Onion soup on a kiosk. When the staff member dropped it off at the table and immediately walked away, I saw that there were no croutons in the soup and hardly any cheese. I then called her back and asked why the kiosk didn't say that they were out (I should have asked why they didn't bother to tell me before they made it) and she said that they have no control over what the kiosks display. However, when my wife went to order a drink that normally comes with whipped cream, the kiosk said it was unavailable since they were out of whipped cream. Anyways, I then asked if I could switch to a ceasar salad to which they responded that they were out of romaine and asked if 'greens' were ok instead. Fed up, I told them ok. Lo and behold, when they brought the salad to me, it had the croutons that they were apparently out of when they made the french onion soup 3 minutes earlier! Overall, this experience, along with countless other mistakes mean the Coon Rapids Panera will no longer be receiving any more of my business. read more

I usually love Paneras. Not this one the restaurant was dirty and unkept. The salad I had was not prepared well. Brown spots on vegetables. Was not offered a choice for chips, apple or bread. I was given a weird dinner type roll, not the usual delicious baguette. Overall an unpleasant experience which is highly unusual for Panera. read more

I usually love Panera, but since they have moved to their new location the service is awful. I have been there three times in the last month and every visit they have been out of coffee. I totally dislike the set up of this new location. The soda station is too close to where you pick up your food and it gets congested trying to get your food and walk past the soda station. It also seems like there is less seating at this location. If there are only two or four people you might be fine, but if you have a larger group good luck finding a place to sit. read more

Where do I start? First impression walking in the floors were dirty, napkins, receipts, paper pieces all over and order kiosks were very unorganized, counters and tables are all sticky and unclean. They took our order and told us afterwards they were out of an item we already purchased showing bad communication yet they delivered the soup anyways. The soda glass handed to me with an employees hand inside it, gross. Half of the soda fountain was out of order yet I still paid $2 for an over carbonated drink I didn't want which gave me a belly ache. The BBQ panini had 3 small pieces of chicken at one end , a small dab of sauce, a small piece of cheese and over abundance of spinach at the other end. Panini was burnt and Krispy. This was the third time in 6 weeks where this new store was visited and presented as a dump while employees stand huddled around chatting rather than cleaning. Terrible management. Disappointed I've spent $60 there now and it's 3 strikes, your out. I should probably forwarn others on yelp as well. Get your act together, it's a business serving food! When you can't get that right you have nothing left to offer. read more
