Haven't been here in years. Now I remember why. Had a gift card. Ordered 1/2 Bacon Turkey Bravo and other half Strawberry Poppyseed salad. Salad had rusty lettuce hidden throughout. Picked most of it out. See photos. When I got to the half of a sandwich, same thing only WORSE. Decomposing greens again hidden throughout the sandwich. Except several of the greens had BLACK ENDS! Are times that tough Pan-scare-a?! This is why eating out is a crapshoot because 9/10 times, you are served Crap ! Service is so-so. Person serving up the food looked so Thrilled to be there. Interior is OVERDUE for a Re-model. My god the vinyl color on the backs of booths is worn off ! Still 1999 in here. read more

I have preordered online a similar order ongoing for months and have pretty consistently had issues with ordering, prepaying then them not having what I ordered about half the time, etc. Last time I ordered about 1 1/2 hrs before pickup time to give them plenty of time to prepare. I gave up on the curbside pickup months ago so arrived on time in store for pickup and was told it would be another 20 minutes before it would be ready and to come back complete with an eye roll from behind the counter when I asked questions. When I returned 20 minutes later still wasn't done and asked to speak with mgr. Got a blank stare when I suggested they talk to IT ABOUT CORRECTING THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN APP and store. This location has the worst supply chain issues imaginable! I stopped by for breakfast and the first three items I requested on the menu were "not available today." I settled on a smoothie that was a mere six ounces for six bucks!!! Panera - You have got to be joking! The smoothie was basically a cup of cheap yogurt. The drive thru line always takes forever and a lot of times they don't have the drive thru open. Inside isn't much better, I'm always waiting a long time, even if all I get is a cup of soup. Panera is a classic favorite of mine. It has a little of everything for everyone. Salads, (strawberry poppyseed or the green goddess salad are my favs!), soups (chicken wild rice or the autumn squash soup!), or sandwich's. Mac and cheese! Cinnamon crunch bagel. Need I go on?! I visit this Panera often. Friendly wait staff. While somewhat pricey I always get a good product. I usually get a bowl of chicken wild rice soup or chicken noodle soup with a baguette. The salads are fresh and nicely made. The sandwiches are quite large, shareable for my husband and I. He likes the turkey avocado and usually a 1/2 sandwich is enough. lol at all these reviews.. and they are right! I have had Panera delivered to me a few times a week from this location and the last 3 orders have all came incorrectly. First one: Ordered Turkey Avo sandwhich. came with NO TURKEY! (lol) Second: Paid extra for Avo on my Half Asian Sesame Salad. No avo came on my salad. Called and manager said she would refund my paypal for this order.. never got refunded and next time I called a different manager said they dont do Paypal refunds.. (lol again!) Lastly, and this will be my last time ordering: Ordered half asian seseme salad: came with the avocado this time fortunately but showed up with no wonton strips (for that crunch!) and also they oddly added an egg and bacon to the salad (Which doesnt come on this salad). I love Panera in general, but this is one of the most inconsistent Panera's I've ever been too. Today I went and ordered a you pick 2 with the spicy Thai chicken salad. I was alerted that they were out of romaine and gave me a choice of arugula, spinach, or mixed greens instead ... none of those are close but I went with mixed greens. Little did I know they'd be cutting my salad in half. The toppings were the same amount as normal, but they literally gave me half the lettuce. You can see the bottom of my bowl when I opened it. 3 strikes and you're out Panera. I know your heart is in the right place, but this location just can't seem to get anything correct. First, my to go order was wrong. A chicken salad WITHOUT the chicken is not a good mistake to make. Not only that, but you were out of two of the ingredients in the salad. You are out of items A LOT at this location. No other Panera that I've visited in the past is ever out of anything, but you are almost every visit. I called and spoke with a nice person, I think his name was Andrew. After trying to work something out, he finally offered to mail a voucher to replace my salad. It never arrived. Today, I went in one more time as I was in the area. You were out of pecans and multigrain bread for my order, fine. But when my soup came you had no more Tabasco packets. Maybe that seems like a little thing to you, but that's how I enjoy my soup. I had to drive home to get my own and the soup is cold now. The salad was also tossed in dressing, even though I asked for dressing on the side. The Panera experience is usually a great one where ever I visit. This location just can't seem to get it's act together. The entirety of the very young staff there enjoys themselves, however. The are always talking to each other and making the meals with enthusiasm and ignoring the rest of us. Sorry, Coon Rapids location. I will never return. read more

I love me a good Panera lunch. Nutritious and delicious. This location is the poster child of them all. Per my usual, I chose the "Pick 2" combo and here my Greek salad has never been bigger, along with my Vegetarian Black Bean soup never hotter! LOVE! They're not shy on the veggies and well aware that dressing is not a main ingredient in any salad. My whole wheat baguette side was definitely freshly made that day too. A good pit stop if you're shopping in the vast Coon Rapids area. Panera gets the honor of my first updated and one star review all in one. Went here tonight shortly after 8 for a sandwich. Waited over 2 min at the drive through box (yes they were open) and was not greeted. No other cars were in line, not even a hello or please wait. I proceeded to the drive up window where no one was in site. I decided to leave and go somewhere else. I will still visit here here because I do like there food and it's close but tired of inconsistent service here. Burnt bread the last few visits to not even being served tonight makes for a pretty lousy experience the last few visits. I do hope they can shape up but if you like Panera I would avoid this one. Panera is funny. They have okay bread and sandwiches, poor espresso-based drinks, and some really bad pastry. But the pastries LOOK fabulous. Like "picture on a menu" fabulous, but they're strangely tasteless. I think the espresso problem is chiefly training, because there used to be a lady there that made a kick-ass cappuccino. When she left I tried to interest the management in improving the quality, but they really didn't give a rat's patootie, as they say in the trade. In fairness, my wife loves their broccoli-cheddar soup. By the way, this Panera is no different than any other I've been to, which probably accounts for their success--many people value predictability over other virtues. read more

I go to the Panera in Coon Rapids often as it's close to my office. When I order something that requires utensils, I NEVER GET THE RIGHT KIND or are completely missing. This is very frustrating as I CAN'T EAT MAC-N-CHEESE with my FINGERS!!!! Also, I order chips, I get bread, if I order bread, I get ships or an apple and get nothing. Honestly, I never do yelp reviews but this felt necessary. The smell of the kitchen as soon as I entered the building was not a pleasant smell. It smelt like dirty dish water and not one piece of bread was out on display they had no desserts available. Many tables were vacant but still full of crumbs and stains. The workers just don't seem to care about customer satisfaction whatsoever. My final straw was getting my panini served on a dirty plate and my soup had a dirty spoon to accompany it. I love Panera bakeries but this one has altered my entire outlook on the quality of the employees and organization as a whole. I don't often like reviewing chain restaurants because the fact of the matter is, you know what you are getting. Anyway, here is the scoop on this location. It is generally busy here, but they plan accordingly. The counter never takes too long to submit your order. However, you can wait 5-10 on actually getting your food. Normally this would be okay, but if you are going with the hopes of getting 'fast food'... It is by a lot of other stores, so it would be good for lunch, especially if you are not in the mood for garbage served with fat. It looks like a Panera. It is kept up like a Panera. I like Asiago Bread and they never have it and when I called they told me I had to give three days notice. Really? Perhaps they should put a few loaves in a freezer because some of us like it a lot. Terrible food. Sandwiches were awful. Portions couldn't have been more meager if they tried and believe me they couldn't have put less effort or meat into their sandwiches. I ordered a half chicken avocado panini that I returned to the kitchen totally pitiful. Barely, and I mean barely any chicken or avocado and the half panini looked like a quarter of a half. Then I ordered one of their new Cubans. Again, couldnt find the ham slice and the pork portion was an absolute joke. The only thing good was the bread and the dressing. We ordered mini scones, a breakfast sandwich and a soufflé online for rapid pickup. When we arrived to pickup there was a note on the receipt that said "no mini scones" so we went and stood in line to talk to a staff member. Finally get to the front of the line and they have get the manager. They offered regular scones. We get home and figure out that the soufflé we ordered for mom is missing. Now mom doesn't have her Mothers Day Breakfast! Very annoying!! Get it together Panera! We also have a suggestion: if you are out of something, don't write a note on the receipt as the customer may not see it. *** Staple a hot pink note onto the bag to see the manage so the customer is alerted and the Panera staff can provide better service and make up for the mistake. read more
