It's one of the few places un this area that serves breakfast at an early time frame with decent coffee. Parking is ample. especially in the mornings. The place is clean, well maintained bathrooms and tables. Overall, a good place to get a decent cup of coffee and a pastry. read more

4.5 stars. A great friend bought me soup from Panera when I was ailing and it was very tasty!! The funny thing is I expected chicken noodle but got broccoli cheddar instead. I think it was a mixup. It was a good mixup though because it was actually DELICIOUS!! And the bread was the perfect accompaniment. I dipped the bread in the soup and ohhh....perfection. Everything good exists inside Panera Bread. I have gone to Panera Breads throughout this country and I am usually very satisfied. I expect consistent food, free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms and fresh, healthy options at this chain. That is what I get here too. This is my local Panera and I have been happy attending this location for a long while, years perhaps. Recently they have added a Community Room space for rent. It's a clean, bright room with doors that be can be closed. This is a useful service addition to a place where people tend to meet anyway. I really liked that there is no sleazy tipping jar on the register. Instead the tipping is done with discretion and dignity. On the checkout screen it reads, "At Panera tipping is never expected, but always appreciated." Beneath that notice, there is a button you can press to select the amount you would like to tip (if any). The servers are good so a tipping process that doesn't create an awkward moment only enhanced the reason(s) to tip. Panera is there for me for it all! It's been a while since I tried Panera Bread, but was in the area recently and decided to give the one in Concord, NC a try. Since the pandemic, I don't eat out much, so this was supposed to be a little treat to myself. I was disappointed. First, having to stand in line or order at a kiosk is what I expect at McDonalds, so seeing Panera has gone to this method was disappointing. I ordered a salad and a sandwich. The salad barely covered the bottom of the the bowl and was mediocre at best. The sandwich was on two pieces of tasteless, soft bread and the sauce was sticky sweet. Sandwiches are not supposed to be sweet. Topping off this disappointment was having to bus my own dishes. There were wipes at the bussing station, too. In case -I guess- I wanted to wipe down the table I used for the next victims. I just left this Panera (1/26/22 at 9:15 PM) and I will never be back. The employees act as if they could give zero f**ks about customer service. I've never heard so much rude language and nastiness from people, and I work in public schools. I don't know if management was present or not, but I'd be appalled if my employees were behaving so atrociously...and with customers present in the dining area. Checked out this location while in the Concord Mills area and it just so happened they have renovated. The biggest change I would say is that now bakery window spans across the front of the registers. The colors are lighter as well and the lighting has changed making it seem very bright and airy inside. The self check out kiosks (tablets) are still available. My favorite menu item these days is the Roasted Turkey, Apple, and Cheddar sandwich. It's has great texture with soft cranberry walnut bread and crunchy apple slices and apple slaw. Dropping 2 stars as it is freezing inside. The food was good, as always. But it is very uncomfortable sitting down and eating when I'm shivering. The latte tasted mostly like cream and not very hot either. I'm an avid latte drinker so I notice a huge difference easily. Just not very pleased or comfortable today. I have been going to Panera for about 6 years now. I don't have high expectations on food, I have eaten from food carts in third world countries and if the food was better their than panera on this day something is wrong. I got a bowl of the tomato qsoup it came with croutons and they were stale. We were dining and both my soup and my wife's soup came with no spoons this was not a big deal to the both of us but when my wife asked for two spoons she was met with a foul attitude from the gentleman behind the counter she came back with a fork knife and one spoon. So I went and asked for a spoon was met with the same foul attitude. I know that panera does not train their employees to act like this to to their patrons. The other week I stopped in here for coffee & a cookie. For 2 PM on a Friday, this place was hopping! Getting in & out of the parking lot was an issue, since this location shares space with a strip mall. The employees are really nice & quick with your order. I got a caramel latte, which tastes just as good as Starbuck's caramel machiatto. I also got the "m&m" type cookie. It was huge! I don't feel bad about paying $2+ for a cookie & $3+ for a coffee when the portion/size are big. Their menu is pretty extensive...coffees, pastries, baked goods, salads, & sandwiches. I call to place an order and the cashier gives me attitude talking about, "sorry we just don't deliver to your address and none of the locations do. That is very strange because my old apartment was further than my house and they delivered.
