TDLR: This Panera sent me to the ER and told me it was my fault. I'm allergic to apples. Asked the cashier if there was any apple in their Strawberry Banana Smoothie and told her "I can't have apples". She told me there were no apples in the smoothie. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. 10 minutes later I'm having an anaphylactic reaction, pulled up the ingredients online, and there's apple puree in the smoothie. Panera denied liability because I "didn't use the word allergy" and "technically there were no apples blended into the smoothie, just apple puree". I wouldn't trust their staff with a rock, much less your health. read more

I paid $2 extra only to receive Mac n Cheese with no bacon. Out of breadbowls. Out of baguettes. Dissatisfied.

This place is a joke, two urns of coffee out of 6 slots both were near empty and cold. The place was not busy and the employees were standing around doing nothing. When I asked for assistance they looked at me like I had 3 heads. Go across the street to Starbucks, it's busy for a reason. read more

HORRIBLE! Incredibly SLOW!! If you are headed to work or an apt, DO NOT STOP here or attempt the drive thru! Bad service as well. In the drive thru, You'll have to ask for napkins, straws, a receipt...etc... I had a small hair in my breakfast sandwich! Ugh! Take the time and go to Starbucks or somewhere else! read more

Panera Bread - Hair in my sandwich - Salad Near Me - Columbia, Missouri

I've tolerated a lot from Panera in the last few weeks, partially because I go there upwards of 4 times a week. I've stood by while the kiosks malfunction, workers are unprofessional, and basic bakery items are missing. But this evening I endured something no customer should ever have to. My "friend's" Greek salad? Sorry, no can do! Why? Because Panera was out of Greek salad dressing. Not only this, but they forgot to add cucumber and only managed to add a SINGLE additional olive (I've calculated that 5 is average and 8 is approximately the quantity you receive when requesting extra). I'm disgusted. I don't think there's much this chain could do to console me, though I would accept their attempts to do so. read more

Food is what you expect from Panera. For chain restaurants reviews are usually not about the food. Here, there is a big sign on the front door about not allowing people into the restaurant without wearing a mask. I get in and there are two people in line in front of me not wearing masks and two girls behind the counter wearing a mask pulled down with their noses exposed. Clearly this Panera doesn't actually care about the spread of Covid and is only posting signs for show. read more

I had a long and stressful week so I ordered some Panera for Rapid Pick Up. My husband grabbed it on his way home from work and when I opened the bag, I noticed that the cookie that I ordered to make my Friday better was missing. Normally I would do nothing, but this time I called immediately and told them about my rough week and how much I really wanted that cookie. So what did they do? They told me to come back in and get TWO cookies!! I know to them, that probably doesn't seem like much, but they were so nice and understanding from the phone call to the pick up that they really just made my Friday night so much better! It's the little things. Good job panera crew. Keep it up! read more

As far as fast food goes it's hard to beat the quality that you get at Panera's. I went to this place during the lunch rush and the lines were long but they were ready for it had multiple registers open and plenty of people putting together the meals. My total wait time from the minute I walked in the door until I walked out with my meal was maybe 10 minutes which is perfectly acceptable considering how many people were here. My food was good... As expected. The place was clean... As expected. Overall I would come to this Panera's again any day read more

Worst bread co I have ever been to. I never go to this one because they are always slow and are out of everything. It has been months since I've been here, decided to give them another chance. My experience: waited 20 mins in drive through before getting to the kiosk, tried to order 4 different things for breakfast because they where out of everything. Bagel, sandwiches, wraps, were out. Settled for a lunch sandwich instead of breakfast, out of the meat. Asked if they have soup instead and finally ordered a chicken noodle bread bowl. Waited another 10 minutes to get to the window in the drive through that I am now committed to and can not get out of, and the girl gave me soup with no bread bowl. I had to ask for what I ordered again. I tried, never going here again. read more

Yesterday I tried to come and there was a fire so I came back today. I tried to order a grilled cheese but to no avail. They were out of cheese and bread. I then sat down with my high school and we were chatting and laughing as high school girls do when I hear a woman complaining about the girls on my team because we were talking too much and being disrespectful. How is asking for a new salad because there was a glove in it disrespectful? I would come back, but I could hear the workers talking about us behind our back. read more

Ordered three soups and one flat bread on their webpage at 145pm, it said the order would be complete by 215pm I arrived at 210pm. They would not give an update on the order and it's now 250pm and I'm still sitting here waiting like a darn fool. Never again will I order from here. If I could proceed without giving it a single star I would! read more

Just your standard Panera Bread franchise here. If you need somewhere to stop and grab something moderately healthy compared to all the other fast food available nearby then this is a decent choice. We got the Modern Greek Salad and the Green Godess Cob Salad. Both were good. Also got the black bean soup but it's a bit too salty to fully enjoy. read more

yes the food was good as Panera usually is, but the service was AWFUL. I went through the drive through and when I was ordering I asked a question and the lady answered my question like I was ridiculous for asking it. The attitude was terrible and she had absolutely nothing nice to say. In no way was she speaking as she should be to her customers. I then pulled up to the window and the guy handed me my food and said absolutely nothing, he just handed me the bag and closed the window. So I looked through my bag to make sure I got it all since he said nothing to confirm he had given me everything. Just ridiculous. College kids these days just have no respect whatsoever. I can't tell you if it was even a good environment because I went through the drive through but considering they had terrible customer service im sure it couldn't have been to amazing, sure I didn't miss much. I hope someone teaches these kids how to work correctly someday. read more

I am not much a review guy but I had to share my experience which was equal parts Kafkaesque and right out of the pages of Catch -22. After travelling the entire day I ended up in COMO, a fine college town in central Missouri. We decided to pick up some food and thought that a stop at the tried and true Panera would be great. Well, we ordered the Mac-N-Cheese (x2) with the tasty bread (chunks of baguette) as the side. We were told they were out of bread. Seeing a wall of bread and being a reasonable human being, I suggested a bagel would be a suitable replacement. I was told this was not possible. I was told we can have an apple (as they were out of bread and also chips). I then said 'what about all the other breads' I pointed to on the wall, I was told this was not possible. I asked if they had any whole baguettes and was told no. By then I stepped of line and watched other customers go down this rabbit hole of nonsense, confused and often leaving the store. My wife saved the day and found a single whole baguette in a bread basket for sale, so I happily told them this and to please get the mac-n-cheese and to slice us chunks of bread. I was told this bread (which until my wife found it they had no idea existed) had to be sold as a loaf and not in chunks. It was literally the same bread they bake and cut into chunks to go with entrees and soups! I asked to speak to the GM and was told they could not do this because, if they did, they would have to do it for everyone. Not discerning the logic of the GM, I implored she should do it for everyone because it is a bread store! I then asked if I bought the loaf could I get a discount since the only sides with all our (total of 4) meals available was apples and 'nobody wants apples', I was again told no. She also point out that technically the side chunks of bread are only given to customers for free so we weren't out anything. I lightly tossed the bread back in the bread basket from which it came, perplexed by the logical void in which I was temporarily trapped, and left deciding I would literally rather pay anybody else for any other food. read more

Pretty average Panera experience. We have been to Panera this is fine it's not great it's not terrible. I definitely recommend it. I did not see kiosks to order from. Now I might be blind I don't know, I looked all over that restaurant and I could not find kiosks. And when I asked the worker about the kiosk she looked at me like I was speaking language. So I actually ordered from my phone in the restaurant because I like to order extra cilantro no mayonnaise, off menu items that I don't want to get lost from when I'm telling the person to when he gets back to the ordering. So I find ordering on the phone or on the kiosk cuts out a lot of problems in the ordering system. Anyhow they were pretty busy, it was during lunch. Our orders came really quickly everything tasted really good. Nothing was wrong with the order they were exactly as I ordered, which is why I like to use kiosks. The only reason I really didn't give it five stars was the customer service in the restaurant. The person I asked at the beginning of the experience was about the kiosk ordering system they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. And after I got my items I asked for butter which was not in the bag and instead of either handing me butter or Showing me in a more polite way, I guess you could say, the person appointed with his index finger and said "yeah it's over there" so other than that and again that's being nitpicky. But being a Panera fan girl I'm pretty picky and hard when it comes to Panera's. I've given to Panera is five star reviews because they were so exceptional. But again I would definitely recommend this Panera it was good food it was clean just not quite up to five stars in my opinion Update: used the drive through service today it's been 45 minutes of waiting in line I thought it would be faster than going in!! Seven cars behind me have left. Not sure what the hold up is but this is rediculous. 45 MINUTES and I can't get out of line because cars behind me. read more

Food was an hour plus late and they couldn't even look up our order to see what the status was. One of my favorite places to eat! The food has very generous portions and pricing is fair.

Ah months and months later and we haven't seen any improvement. Tonight I went through the drive thru (when will I learn?). My goal was simple. Dinner for myself and sick boyfriend as well as something for him to eat when he stays home sick tomorrow. On the digital screen- mind you DIGITAL, not the physical menu board- I see the list of "Today's Soups" including something along the lines of "Summer Corn Chowder" My inner monologue thinks "Ohhhh yeah." But do they actually have it? No. "That promotion is over. We're not doing that any more" "Oh okay... It's on the screen here on a list that is updated daily but okay" no remorse from the other end. This is clearly my faux pas. Anyway I get my pick 2, my boyfriend a bread bowl with soup for tonight and a panini for him to have tomorrow. Mission accomplished. I'm the best girlfriend. Get home- no bread bowl. Well a cup of soup isn't enough dinner so he ate tomorrow's lunch to compensate. Now he'll starve while he's sick. Hope you're happy crappy Panera. Le sigh. read more

Every order is always wrong! Order a cinnamon scone got three bagels. This place is horrendous for customer service.

This is a review for the bbq chicken Mac and cheese. I like it even better than their plain Mac and cheese because the meat adds an extra element of flavor and the sweetness of the bbq sauce goes well with the white cheddar cheese. It is super creamy and full of flavor. I would definitely get it again and it is now my favorite item on the menu. read more

We frequent Panera restaurants as we travel and love knowing what we can and can not eat because of food sensitivities. The service we received at this location was terrible. The employees were more interested preparing their own lattes then getting our order to us. We ordered two sandwiches and a tea. It took over 30 minutes to get our order. We will never visit this location again. read more

Walking in you think you know what to expect, if you've been to any of the numerous Panera's. I love their menu items, particularly the you pick two and agave lemonade. The main reasons for losing stars are the cleanliness of the restaurant, the increased time to make the meals, as well as the execution of sandwiches are often messy and salads smaller than usual. These are some nuances, though, that can be easily fixed. Overall, same great food and the staff is always very friendly and helpful! read more

Let me start by saying that the only reason that this establishment gets even 2 stars is because I am a nice person and a general supporter of the Panera Bread chain. However, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. My small swim team and I had attempted to come to this restaurant yesterday, however they turned us away, claiming that there was a "fire" (we did not see any evidence of a fire but I will give them the benefit of the doubt). We returned today after a 14 hour day of sitting in a hot, chlorinated natatorium and we made sure to be very polite and cooperative in ordering and receiving our food, as we are a fairly large group. As soon as we walked in the cashier seemed offended that we had chosen Panera as our choice of eatery, which doesn't seem to be a great business practice. As we ordered, we discovered that this establishment was out of bread and cheese- WHAT???? This establishment is well known for their bread and the fact that I did not get to eat it was a shame for everyone involved. THEN we sat down only to notice the distressed seats, spiderwebs in corners, and BUGS flying around the restaurant. Then, as we began to eat, one of my dear teammates found a plastic GLOVE in her salad (picture posted below), and disgusted, she brought it back to ask for a new one. When confronted, the workers did not apologize or give her a refund, they only made her a new salad. You may think this is the worst it can get, but the saga continues. After complaining, we simply were discussing the disgusting nature of a glove inside of a salad, when we realized that the workers were behind us talking about how rude and obnoxious we were!!! Frankly, if anyone is rude here, it's the workers in this store. We were as quiet and respectful as possible with a large group of teenage girls, and they continued to disrespect us. Not only was the service unacceptable for a chain of this stature, but the food wasn't all that great as well, which is strange considering that I usually thoroughly enjoy Panera. If you are looking for a good Panera, this is not it and I would suggest going to a different nearby location unless you want to be greeted with terrible service and below average food. Not impressed. read more

I love Panera Bread so I'm reviewing this particular location. I thought that the service was okay. I think it's because the employee taking my order was new and didn't seem very confident. It was hard for her to redeem my rewards and then she had to get her manager because she didn't apply it when she rang it up. Nice big location close to Boone Hospital so very handy for those who have loved ones there. I also like the fact they have a drive thru which is very convenient. read more

Kitchen staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. My girlfriend (who doesn't eat meat) ordered a salad without the meat. When we received it, there were bacon bits in the entire salad. Absolutely despicable. They have raised their prices to a unrealistic amount. They have me paying $10 for a SMALL cup of Mac and Cheese and HALF a grilled cheese sandwich. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE....because you will be... literally. I eat at Panera's pretty regularly throughout the region and find the quality of the food and service to very good. This would be the exception to that rule. Today is the second time to this store in 6 weeks... my kids go to school at Mizzou. The order process is extremely disorganized and I am now waiting over 20 mins for breakfast sandwiches. It looks like everybody's first day at work ... but many of the same confused people from last time. The store is really not even crowded. This will be the last time I will come to this store. COME ON PANERA YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS. Not a quick visit.... stood in line for 15 mins...6 people in front of with 2 people working registers....ordered at 10:33 and sandwiches delivered at 10:56. Last time same slow service as this time. People waiting on food complaining left and right. There will not be a third time. read more

Use to be great, but looks dirty, worn out and old. Turned off wifi for 4 hours during peak hours. Supposedly something they had stopped doing, apparently everywhere but this store. What? Download speed when restaurant was empty was 3.57 mbps Upload 0.53. In Columbia, a university town. And now, no more ice coffee refills.
