yes the food was good as Panera usually is, but the service was AWFUL. I went through the drive through and when I was ordering I asked a question and the lady answered my question like I was ridiculous for asking it. The attitude was terrible and she had absolutely nothing nice to say. In no way was she speaking as she should be to her customers. I then pulled up to the window and the guy handed me my food and said absolutely nothing, he just handed me the bag and closed the window. So I looked through my bag to make sure I got it all since he said nothing to confirm he had given me everything. Just ridiculous. College kids these days just have no respect whatsoever. I can't tell you if it was even a good environment because I went through the drive through but considering they had terrible customer service im sure it couldn't have been to amazing, sure I didn't miss much. Worst bread co I have ever been to. I never go to this one because they are always slow and are out of everything. It has been months since I've been here, decided to give them another chance. My experience: waited 20 mins in drive through before getting to the kiosk, tried to order 4 different things for breakfast because they where out of everything. Bagel, sandwiches, wraps, were out. Settled for a lunch sandwich instead of breakfast, out of the meat. Asked if they have soup instead and finally ordered a chicken noodle bread bowl. Waited another 10 minutes to get to the window in the drive through that I am now committed to and can not get out of, and the girl gave me soup with no bread bowl. I am not much a review guy but I had to share my experience which was equal parts Kafkaesque and right out of the pages of Catch -22. After travelling the entire day I ended up in COMO, a fine college town in central Missouri. We decided to pick up some food and thought that a stop at the tried and true Panera would be great. Well, we ordered the Mac-N-Cheese (x2) with the tasty bread (chunks of baguette) as the side. We were told they were out of bread. Seeing a wall of bread and being a reasonable human being, I suggested a bagel would be a suitable replacement. I was told this was not possible. I was told we can have an apple (as they were out of bread and also chips). I then said 'what about all the other breads' I pointed to on the wall, I was told this was not possible. I asked if they had any whole baguettes and was told no. By then I stepped of line and watched other customers go down this rabbit hole of nonsense, confused and often leaving the store. My wife saved the day and found a single whole baguette in a bread basket for sale, so I happily told them this and to please get the mac-n-cheese and to slice us chunks of bread. I was told this bread (which until my wife found it they had no idea existed) had to be sold as a loaf and not in chunks. It was literally the same bread they bake and cut into chunks to go with entrees and soups! I asked to speak to the GM and was told they could not do this because, if they did, they would have to do it for everyone. Not discerning the logic of the GM, I implored she should do it for everyone because it is a bread store! I then asked if I bought the loaf could I get a discount since the only sides with all our (total of 4) meals available was apples and 'nobody wants apples', I was again told no. She also point out that technically the side chunks of bread are only given to customers for free so we weren't out anything. I lightly tossed the bread back in the bread basket from which it came, perplexed by the logical void in which I was temporarily trapped, and left deciding I would literally rather pay anybody else for any other food. read more

Yesterday I tried to come and there was a fire so I came back today. I tried to order a grilled cheese but to no avail. They were out of cheese and bread. I then sat down with my high school and we were chatting and laughing as high school girls do when I hear a woman complaining about the girls on my team because we were talking too much and being disrespectful. They would not give an update on the order and it's now 250pm and I'm still sitting here waiting like a darn fool. Never again will I order from here. Just your standard Panera Bread franchise here. If you need somewhere to stop and grab something moderately healthy compared to all the other fast food available nearby then this is a decent choice. Pretty average Panera experience. We have been to Panera this is fine it's not great it's not terrible. I definitely recommend it. I did not see kiosks to order from. Now I might be blind I don't know, I looked all over that restaurant and I could not find kiosks. And when I asked the worker about the kiosk she looked at me like I was speaking language. So I actually ordered from my phone in the restaurant because I like to order extra cilantro no mayonnaise, off menu items that I don't want to get lost from when I'm telling the person to when he gets back to the ordering. So I find ordering on the phone or on the kiosk cuts out a lot of problems in the ordering system. Anyhow they were pretty busy, it was during lunch. Our orders came really quickly everything tasted really good. Nothing was wrong with the order they were exactly as I ordered, which is why I like to use kiosks. The only reason I really didn't give it five stars was the customer service in the restaurant. The person I asked at the beginning of the experience was about the kiosk ordering system they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. And after I got my items I asked for butter which was not in the bag and instead of either handing me butter or Showing me in a more polite way, I guess you could say, the person appointed with his index finger and said "yeah it's over there" so other than that and again that's being nitpicky. But being a Panera fan girl I'm pretty picky and hard when it comes to Panera's. I've given to Panera is five star reviews because they were so exceptional. But again I would definitely recommend this Panera it was good food it was clean just not quite up to five stars in my opinion Update: used the drive through service today it's been 45 minutes of waiting in line I thought it would be faster than going in!! Dinner for myself and sick boyfriend as well as something for him to eat when he stays home sick tomorrow. We frequent Panera restaurants as we travel and love knowing what we can and can not eat because of food sensitivities. The service we received at this location was terrible. The employees were more interested preparing their own lattes then getting our order to us. We ordered two sandwiches and a tea. It took over 30 minutes to get our order. This is a review for the bbq chicken Mac and cheese. I like it even better than their plain Mac and cheese because the meat adds an extra element of flavor and the sweetness of the bbq sauce goes well with the white cheddar cheese. It is super creamy and full of flavor. I would definitely get it again and it is now my favorite item on the menu. read more

Walking in you think you know what to expect, if you've been to any of the numerous Panera's. I love their menu items, particularly the you pick two and agave lemonade. The main reasons for losing stars are the cleanliness of the restaurant, the increased time to make the meals, as well as the execution of sandwiches are often messy and salads smaller than usual. These are some nuances, though, that can be easily fixed. Overall, same great food and the staff is always very friendly and helpful! read more

Let me start by saying that the only reason that this establishment gets even 2 stars is because I am a nice person and a general supporter of the Panera Bread chain. However, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. My small swim team and I had attempted to come to this restaurant yesterday, however they turned us away, claiming that there was a "fire" (we did not see any evidence of a fire but I will give them the benefit of the doubt). We returned today after a 14 hour day of sitting in a hot, chlorinated natatorium and we made sure to be very polite and cooperative in ordering and receiving our food, as we are a fairly large group. As soon as we walked in the cashier seemed offended that we had chosen Panera as our choice of eatery, which doesn't seem to be a great business practice. As we ordered, we discovered that this establishment was out of bread and cheese- WHAT???? This establishment is well known for their bread and the fact that I did not get to eat it was a shame for everyone involved. THEN we sat down only to notice the distressed seats, spiderwebs in corners, and BUGS flying around the restaurant. Then, as we began to eat, one of my dear teammates found a plastic GLOVE in her salad (picture posted below), and disgusted, she brought it back to ask for a new one. When confronted, the workers did not apologize or give her a refund, they only made her a new salad. You may think this is the worst it can get, but the saga continues. After complaining, we simply were discussing the disgusting nature of a glove inside of a salad, when we realized that the workers were behind us talking about how rude and obnoxious we were!!! Frankly, if anyone is rude here, it's the workers in this store. We were as quiet and respectful as possible with a large group of teenage girls, and they continued to disrespect us. Not only was the service unacceptable for a chain of this stature, but the food wasn't all that great as well, which is strange considering that I usually thoroughly enjoy Panera. If you are looking for a good Panera, this is not it and I would suggest going to a different nearby location unless you want to be greeted with terrible service and below average food. I love Panera Bread so I'm reviewing this particular location. I thought that the service was okay. I think it's because the employee taking my order was new and didn't seem very confident. It was hard for her to redeem my rewards and then she had to get her manager because she didn't apply it when she rang it up. Kitchen staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. My girlfriend (who doesn't eat meat) ordered a salad without the meat. When we received it, there were bacon bits in the entire salad. When I approached the counter, a younger woman with glasses offered to remake the salad, AND give us a take home box for the original salad with bacon. This would be the exception to that rule. Today is the second time to this store in 6 weeks... my kids go to school at Mizzou. It looks like everybody's first day at work ... but many of the same confused people from last time. The store is really not even crowded. This will be the last time I will come to this store. Don't know how've they've trained the young staff but although the salad and soup combo I got with drink looked right, the portions were woefully small and off tasting to be worth the $12 I paid. Pricey for snack amounts. I've made onion soup, tasted restaurant versions all over including stl bread co where I live and this one was too creamy/emulsified, and salty sweet. A tiny 3-4" torn baguette accompanied it where my location usually provides a nice sliced off 6" piece. . The salad was similarly a sweet/salty/tart bomb. And filled 1/3 of the small bow. I used to think the food was barely worth the price but it toes a fine line. When it slips this bad it's greasy spoon food at a sit down French bistro price. Speaking of which, I was given a spoon and knife that hadn't been washed. The soup and food was so encrusted on it from end to end that I thought it had been lightly breaded. Dining in - 3 stars Drive-thru - 1 star Averages out to 2 stars This Panera location has a consistently terrible drive-thru. They **NEVER** get the order right. Ever. Not just during the morning and lunch rush when they're busy, but also when I'm there at a completely odd hour and there is no one behind me in the drive-thru line. And I don't ask for special things like minus this or add that. They can't get the basic order right. They forget the bread, or the croutons for the tomato soup, or a knife to spread the cream cheese on the bagel. They almost never get my coffee right, so I've taken to ordering it black and then asking for creamers at the window. I know I should just give up, and I did for almost six months, but I thought I'd take a chance this weekend and see if things have improved. They haven't. I checked my bag very carefully before driving away, and for once it seemed like they got it right. However, I got back to work and opened up my salad and there was no dressing on it. Dry salad is not tasty. Lesson learned, I will not be going through their drive-thru ever again. Going inside is better, because you can always ask for whatever they've forgotten to give you. It's cleaner than the South Providence location for sure. But they definitely need more outlets. read more

I've only used the drive through and consistently have to wait about 10 minutes per car in front of me in line. So make sure you have plenty of time or you will get stuck in line and can't get out! The baguette I receive with my soup is almost always overcooked and inedible. Expensive for the portion size you get, but still good nonetheless. read more

And the girls at the front counter were terrible at customer service...Very disappointed and won't be going back any time soon. Spent nearly $30 for 2 people and couldn't eat half of our food.
