Panera is a great place to stop for a healthy, quick meal on the go. With a variety of salads, sandwiches and soups, you know you'll get a nutritious meal here. The "You Pick Two" deal which allows you to chose two from a half salad, half sandwich or cup of soup is a great deal and you can't beat the price for the food you get. I don't always find their salads to be as fresh as I'd like (sometimes the lettuce seems a bit wilted), but the Black Bean Soup is awesome and the crispani's and panini's are excellent. Panera also has a full bakery with great breads, bagels, cookies, cakes and other desserts. Free wi-fi and plenty of seating, make this is a great place to get some work or studying done. read more

Try the cinnamon crunch bagel!!! Get it toasted and with a fruit based cream cheese - incredible The paninis are also delicious, and so are the salads (especially the ones available in the summer). The special soups available in the fall are also great. The mac n cheese is a favorite. Do the pick 2 combo option so you can try more items per visit! Panera is a great chain and this location is consistent with their quality and friendly staff. This location is always so hit and miss. Today, I had a great sandwich. But it's the first time in ages that I have chosen to eat here. We all know that Panera is overpriced, but when the portions are appropriate it's not that big of deal. Today, my portions were good. In the past, the portions here have been pitiful- to the point that I have returned a meal and asked for more of something (meat on the sandwich or in the salad etc.) It was also a bit cleaner than I have seen it in the past- maybe this location has new management or something....we will see!! read more

I don't know what is going on with this particular Panera, but I've ordered salads and sandwiches from them (for both delivery and curbside pickup) 14 times in the past 6 months and they've screwed up my order 13 of those times. Missing drinks, no chicken on the salads, wrong sandwiches, missing bakery items. I've called Panera Corporate twice because this location doesn't answer the phone or have a voicemail. I have had it. Online ordering from the Clifton Park & Latham stores: They were great up until a few years ago, but they don't seem to care anymore. Sandwiches for pickup are always sloppy and they never label them as I request online. It's embarrassing opening someone else's sandwich and then handing it to them, time and time again, with each and every order. Yesterday I had to throw out two whole sandwiches: they were WAY too salty, the bread was wrong and built like they were tossed together from a distance. I always order baguettes and they look like they're hand-ripped from a loaf and tossed into the bag with no covering, not even wrapped in at least a napkin. For in-store pickups they put wide-open customer order bags together out on a pickup shelf where anyone can pick through the bags to see what's in them, plus the fact that they toss fresh bread into the top of these open bags is a rather disgusting practice. Why they cannot securely staple the bags closed is a travesty. I'm tired of this and I won't be ordering food from Panera Bread's Clifton Park or Latham stores anymore, both of which make the same mistakes. There is so much competition in our area for food eateries. They need to go to The Sandwich Shop on Route 9, or at least a half-way decent deli for some lessons on quality & service. read more

We have liked Panera for years. The Clifton Park store is the exception. For over a year they service has been very bad. The tables dirty, drink dispensers empty for over a month, take out orders are a mess. We asked for a baguette with butter and only got the butter. When we asked a table to be cleaned (during a pandemic) we got attitude. The clerk serving pastry was not wearing gloves. I could go on . This is the worst Panera I've seen. read more

I always love coming to this location because it has a certain appeal to it. A certain ambience. Today was especially pleasant because I attempted to use the kiosk to order from first time, and I butchered the order. The young lady by the name of Felicia brought me my bagel and after realizing that I had messed up on the order was more than happy to bring the bagel back and prepare exactly as I wished. She was polite, courteous, and seemed willing to go above and beyond to meet all of my needs and expectations. Hopefully Panera continues to hire more employees like Felicia. read more

Hair and bugs in the salad! We have eaten at the Clifton Park Panera Bread many times but over the past year almost every time we order to go from this location we find stray hairs in our salads and even found a bug in one of the salads and that is just what we've found, who knows what we missed! In addition, they seem to always forget part of the order or fail to include dressing or some other key item. They are always apologetic but never seem to change their actions to correct the problems. Don't eat here unless you like hair and bugs in your food. read more

If I could give this specific restaurant a zero, I would. This place is a joke. This is the 3rd time I have ordered from this location and had miserable service. They, for some reason, cannot possibly fathom getting an order out on time, or even to the correct address! And if you expect it to be warm, forget about it! The first fiasco, it took them 3 (YES, 3 HOURS) to get my food to me, even though I placed the orders well before their "busy time" and scheduled the delivery for over an hour after I placed the order. Today, I placed my order at 10:20am, with a delivery time of 12:15pm-12:30pm. At 12:20pm I had not seen any updates in the tracking, so I tried calling the restaurant. No one answered. It's now 2:34pm, and they still are not answering, and I have been calling every 5 minutes. My food finally arrived at 1:15pm. It was cold, and it was after my alotted lunch time, so I didn't even get to eat my cold food. Explain to me why it's assumed to be acceptable to take HOURS to deliver food, and no effort is ever made to acknowledge that your customer is clearly being neglected and disrespected. I will continue to call until something is resolved to my liking. And you can rest assured knowing that the longer it takes to resolve this, the more irate I will become. Get your act together, or close. There is no other option. Whoever is there now is clearly brain-dead and useless. read more

This Panera location has really upped it's game. The salads have started coming out looking like the pictures they use to advertise. I don't know what they're doing, but they've found some very conscientious salad makers to employ! I've eaten here at least three times in the past two months and I have found myself saying "wow, that looks great!" Additionally, the French baguette served with salads as a side has come out still warm. My favorite salad is the strawberry poppy seed with chicken. I'm sad to see summer come to an end but I'm a big fan of their new fall salad that includes turkey, pears and dried cherries. A huge pet peeve of mine is slimy lettuce. None found here as of late. The dining room could have a few less crumbs, thus the four stars. I hope they keep it up! read more

I went here pretty late one night after getting into town late and stopped for a quick salad and soup. The tomato soup is out of this world. I would go back just for that. this restaurant serves excellent quality sandwiches and soup. The reason that I highly do not recommend this restaurant is that they are very inconsistent with the portions. If you go there for a sandwich to go be prepared to get two pieces of bread with a slice of ham and have to stop somewhere else to actually get sustenance. I've eaten here a few times, and the experience has seemingly gotten worse. As others have noted, this a high traffic location, but it seems to be very understaffed. The wait time for food is frequently 20 minutes or more, and quite often we've gotten stale bread or gross lettuce and sandwiches. Don't order to go, on line. Here's why This is the second time I have been unhappy with my on line order. This order was over $35. I already knew the cups of soup were small from a previous order, so this time I ordered bowls. They also were much smaller than you when you sit and eat in restaurant (in my opinion these so called bowls are what you should get if you order a cup of soup). One of the soups was chicken noodle. I got chicken broth with two very small pieces of chopped up carrot a half a noodle(not even kidding) and one small piece of chicken (can prove this I took a video). For this I paid about $6. I also in addition to the baguette that comes with the soup ordered two additional ones. They were not in the bag at all. So, you will pay thru the nose for a very small portion and you may or may not get veggies in your soup. Not happy at all, plan to complain in person at later date. My advice. I usually pay about 14 or 15 bucks for a chai tea latte and a green smoothie to have it delivered to me at work. I'm tired of the lack of care that goes into it. One day I ordered a hot chai latte and the cup was only just under half full...I was livid. I got a free drink from someone at corporate. So now I get an iced chai tea latte so that the workers can see through it and know if it's full or not and this time they didn't put any almond milk in it when I specifically requested it. I knew it was wrong the second the delivery guy handed it to me.....it looks like a black iced coffee. It is nasty. It taste like tea with loads of cardamom in it and there's nothing to cut it. I was really looking forward to this as I was in a meeting all morning and I can't even drink it. The smoothie doesn't taste like it usually does either...it isnt sweet at all...it's like they forgot to put the purees in it.....im still drinking this one because I dont want all of my money to go to waste....but cmon already ....I'm tired of there being something wrong with half my order all the time. ...it's becoming a bit ridic.....especially when I pay that much for just 2 drinks because I don't have the time to make it there and back on my break. Tried ordering through the Panera bread app, and the system told me "Please Try Again Later". Then, I tried placing my order by phone call and nobody answered the phone. I proceeded to try via the web on my computer, and it STILL didn't go through. Very disappointed with their system, because they constantly push how you can order online & it doesn't work. I ended up coming to the restaurant on my break from work, and my food took 25 minutes. Needless to say, i didn't get to eat it until it was cold. I ordered online and the order was supposed to arrive between 6:08 and 6:18 - I called at 6:30 to ask status - I was disconnected. I called back and the Manager told me they were really busy and the order was ready and would be sent soon. The order finally arrived at 6:49, the kids mac and cheese was stone cold, my sandwich was soggy from sitting with a pickle against it wrapped tightly for over half an hour, the salad was warm, I expect more from Panera than this. While my order was not the most expensive they have seen I am sure coming in at $41.63, it is a ton more than I would have spent at Subway or another place - I only ordered for delivery because the grandkids didn't want to go out again. We've come many times to eat at this location and have never had an issue. Except for tonight the small bowl of soup I received had hair in it, I ate some and found more spooning the soup. I did bring the soup bowl back. I was completely grossed out and disgusted. Panera did apologize, however for the cost paid I think more should of been done to correct the situation. I went here for lunch and ordered it to go little to my knowledge when I got back to work after my lunch break I was missing half my order. I then drove back and explained to them what I was missing. They gave me my sandwich that was on the counter cold. I then drove back to work and when I was eating my salad three separate times I pulled long hair out of my mouth that was in the food I was eating. I then called the store and spoke to the manager and he told me he would give me a full refund. When I went back once again to talk to the manager he didn't want to give me a full refund that I was told I would get, he would only give me a partial one. Disgusting service. My friend and I went into this panera to get dinner and the cashier we got was in training, which I understand is hard for some people to catch on at first, but this lady was just plain rude and disrespectful. My friend ordered a "You pick two" She said half mac and cheese & half of the chipotle chicken sandwich. The lady said in a rude tone of voice -A half mac and cheese? We don't have that? We only have small and large. So my friend said Ok so probably a small... she then continued the attitude and followed with a "then you should've said small not half" Like wtf?! Sorry..? I eat here very often but unfortunately the portions are inconsistent. Today I got a you pick 2 and the sandwich was excellent with generous portions of meat. The salad however was a joke. This was a to go order and you could see the bottom of the box they put the salad in. Shouldn't that box be filled to some sort of level with product? I cater meetings at my business, and order Panera all the time. They deliver it to our door, including plates, silverware, etc. Sandwiches are individually wrapped, fresh and delicious. Their employees are very courteous, and nice. Definitely recommend their catering menu. read more

As other reviewers have said, this Panera is hit or miss. And today was a big miss. Every item in our order was wrong. One $10 sandwich in particular (a chicken chipotle melt) had maybe a half a piece of chicken between the two halves, that's it! Another Mediterranean Veggie sandwich consisted of a slice of tomato and a small smear of hummus. Bigger issue than the food, the management. When we promptly brought the order back it was explained to us that they were running low on certain ingredients. So rather than notifying us or providing a comparable substitute, we were given sub par meals. Now, to be fair they did refund our order and remake the sandwiches. However, we were than made to wait behind the numerous orders a head of us. (And we no cookies!! Which is their policy! So bummed!) typically we're not one to review, but with the number of times we've had significant issues with out orders, our patience has been tested. First time visiting at this location, it is extremely busy on Saturday afternoons...just saying. It the past I always have ordered their panini's which are always a hit in my book. So this time was no different seeing though I haven't been to a Panera in a while. They do have this special going on soup and a half of a sandwich for 6 bucks, pretty good deal...next time though if it is still going on I'll try it. So I order Frontoga panini, which is smoked pulled chicken,tomato, ( in my case no tomato) mozzarella, red onion, fresh basil and chipotle mayo. First time trying this particular one, It was great! The bread was grilled perfectly for the right amount of crunch. I also ordered a sweet onion and poppy-seed bagel for my breakfast the following day, again first time trying this particular bagel. It was delicious, I put some scramble eggs with melted mozzarella cheese on it and WA la!... instant breakfast sandwich. Beats any breakfast sandwich I could get out lately. One day me and my sisters were looking for a nice casual lunch but, we also wanted something some what fast. We were driving around and we went to this place next to Ruby Tuesday's. When we went in we already knew we were going to like it. So, if you are looking for a nice casual lunch go to Panera. A couple of weeks ago we ate a Panera (Bread), the meal was so satisfying and now I go all of the time. So, first thing is that for a nice meal that is kind of fast they have a lots of menu items all in all I would say they have about 55 items in total. Also, they have many items but they also have many healthy, low calorie meals including, more than 10 different salad options. All though me and my sisters were looking for a heavier meal. In addition to their many menu items their prices will not break the bank. Every entree is under $12.00 and even their group soups and salads are not pricey. Aside from the soups and salads they also have many yummy pasta dishes. They go from mac and cheese to chicken tortellini alfredo and i've had both and they both are delicious. Only after ordering did we realize that there was a ton of different places to sit from tables to booths to chairs by a fireplace. When I went with my sisters we all got different types of pasta. We took our time eating so we could sit in a booth a relax. From there atmosphere to there food I would very much recommend Panera. It's a great place to relax with friends or family. Whenever you are near a Panera I would definitely try it. If you are ever debating on Panera or fast food always choose Panera. Last but not least it's just a great place all in all and I would definitely recommend it. read more
