I've been wanting to try them but interpreted their lack of cars out front as something weird. I…read morewas wrong. I went for lunch and glad I did. The south side Vietnamese choices have not been great historically. I have a feeling this place could change that. The parking lot is More ample than most places. I now see that as a great thing. Of course I ordered their fresh shrimp & pork spring rolls. They hit 2 indicators for me, outta the park. 1. The accompanying peanut sauce was actually peanut-y, not overly hoisin forward. Perfect. Thick to where it coats, but not so thick the delicate roll breaks, & not watered down. 2. The rolls tasted "rolled to order," with perfectly cooked shrimp & fresh noodles & vegetables. Not the made way ahead and sat in the fridge, sadness dispensed in other locations. I also had the cold cut banh mi and asked for xtra pate. The bread arrived warm as if made locally or re-livened to order. Nice touch. The vegetables all came separately so you can add your own quantities. (I added it all!) I will be returning for Pho!

This place has been open for about a week from the time of this writing…read more I came here for my birthday party and was pleased with how clean and modern their interior design is. As a person who likes to eat pho and try out new pho restaurants, this place is worth checking out. It wasn't busy when I came. The service was quick and friendly. They even had some classy jazz music playing in the background (big fan of this). I got the egg roll, salted coffee, and Pho Dac Biet (house special pho). My husband got the Bun Bo Hue and the regular iced Vietnamese coffee. Both coffees were great, in fact, the best we've ever had in Richmond. The pho was good and they gave lots of meat. The Bun Bo Hue was good, but not 100% correct on flavor; a bit diluted tasting from what we expected. Still really good, just not an A+ rating. The egg rolls were good (hard to mess those up). Other friends and family who were here also enjoyed their dishes, which was a wide selection from the menu. Overall, this place is solid. Everything was at least good across the board. If you like Vietnamese food and like to dine in around the Midlothian area, I highly recommend trying this place out. Convenient, tasty, and friendly!

Out of town visitor review:…read more Awesome cheesecake. Not a very good "Irish" bar though. Comes across as a room dressed up like an Irish Pub, but doesn't hide the facade of it. Two bartenders. Woman was helpful enough. The guy was a total dick. Refused to even look to see if we needed anything. He was busy doing whatever, as long as it wasn't related to the customer sitting in front of him. She was just "annoyed" that they were busy in a Sat evening, and didn't want to have time to serve. When I say "busy", I mean there were 6 empty seats next to us at the bar before the next person, so I'm not sure they were actually busy ENOUGH to already treat customers like shit, but, hey..... whatever. The cheesecake was 10/10. Come to find out, they don't make it. The buy it from a bakery. Checks out. The only good thing about this place is the thing they get from somewhere else.

Wow. Maybe we caught it on a bad day. Came in for brunch / lunch on a Sunday. Two out of three…read moremeals were obnoxiously subpar. My wife's three meat omelette was burnt. How do you unknowingly burn eggs? But see the pictures I attached. A deep brown omelette. And the meats were undetectable by taste. My wife never sends food back, but she did raise the issue with the waiter. His response was "Yeah that looked pretty brown to me when I brought it out." WTF? You saw it was bad and brought it anyway? Daughter faired no better. Peel and eat shrimp and hushpuppies. The hushpuppies had been cooked in oil at much too high a temperature, as the outside was done but the middle was literally wet uncooked batter. She asked for more, which came out okay. The shrimp were very rubbery and overdone. We wondered if they had been cooked elsewhere and reheated here. But she didn't send these back after the eggs and hushpuppies.... we were afraid of the kitchen's reaction. Clearly there was an inexperienced or I-Don't-Care cook in the back and we were just about done with it. This would be one star, but my shepherd's pie was good. Not great but good. And the onion rings and fried mushrooms were both good. So two stars on food. And two stars on service because of the brown egg comment and having to ask for refills on drinks. At least he took the omelette off the bill without us asking so he gets the second star. I am asked frequently "who has good brunch?" Unfortunately I cannot continue to include O'Tooles in my responses,.
