My app decided not to work today and the young lady was patient, pulled me out the drive thru so we could figure out my order and once we figured out what happened she ended up reimbursing me for my order and also gave us some treats for the wait and for their system doing an entire reboot. I frequent this Chick fil a often and have never had a problem, all of the employees are absolutely great. However, it is not acceptable for anyone to be working outside if it's above 95 degrees if it's unnecessary. I went there a little after 12:30 pm, there were little to no cars in the drive thru. First off thank you to the very polite folks working here. My son and I will be back. On a first visit I believe go with two or three stars, which is subject to change based upon visits. Will be back here next month, and will probably if the same as yesterday, move up to four. The employees of this location did well. While we dined in, looks like they were rocking it with the very busy drive thru. That's quite an operation, and kind of funny as this is close to Richmond Airport. Maybe their folks can visit here and see how to direct passengers. This is a clean location. Also props on the dining room layout. The festive decorations were enjoyable. They were excellent! Good food quick. There was traffic all around the building, like normal for ChickFla at noon. But they had someone standing at the corner near the drive through letting people out and to cross without getting plowed by grumpy people leaving. Freshly cleaned tables. The ladies asked every so often if we needed anything and were happy to grab the pepper and refill drinks. This place needs to have other stores have people sent here to have them trained. read more

I rarely ever have a complaint about CFA, but this location was a disappointment. It's located in a busy shopping center & just entering the drive thru area was a bit disorganized/frustrating. The order taker was friendly, but just getting the food to the waiting customers proved to be a task for their staff. We ordered & waited in line for our food. There were staff dropping food on the ground & randomly going up to cars with no sense of direction. There were 3 lines of cars too, so the area was very congested. When we got our food, we still had to wait in line for people in front of us to get theirs because we were stuck. They should get theirs first or make a way for cars to go around instead of having us stuck there waiting. Now to the food...If I could describe in one word, it would be DRYYYYYYY!! The chicken strips were not fresh and were so dry that I had to sip my drink with every bite just to have some moisture to get it down. The chicken sandwich was depressing because there was NO BUTTER or anything on that bun. Honey, when have you gotten a sandwich from CFA that was not buttered and moist??? This was my first time ever seeing this. The fries were dry too...I definitely needed ketchup & I normally eat them plain. My kids did enjoy the Mac n cheese & that is where my 3 star rating is coming from. I won't say I'd never come back (if someone else is paying), but I'm definitely not paying for anymore dry food. **COVID Lunch Rush Review** CFA is doing a great job of keeping the quality customer service, with quick turn around. They now have 3 lanes to serve drive-thru orders, and plenty of staff. It took me about 15/20 mins to order and get my food. Your ordering options are: 1. Drive-thru and order 2. Order on app & drive-thru to pick up 3. Curbside pickup Curbside seems to be the quickest option if you have the app because there are at least 12 parking spots for that option. Quicker turn-around time. I have not experienced the mobile order-- place order on app, then drive-thru to pick up-- but it seems silly to wait in the line (that sometimes wraps around the building) when you can just do curbside. The inside dining room is closed to the public except for doordash and delivery persons. Downside: the parking lot is like a circus. read more

I got food to go for myself and my sick fiancé. I really liked the decorations. The line was not too long, and I would describe it as semi busy. I would have given a higher rating, if I didn't have such strange customer service experiences which was atypical of usual friendliness at Chick-fil-A. I made my order, and cashier asked for my name...and gave me a blank stare, and said can I just put E since they will have hard time saying your name. I decided not to argue, and as I was paying she picked up the phone and no acknowledgment of me after that, not even my pleasure after I said thank you. Another staff member brought my food, and I said thank you, and she with no smile and no feeling in her voice said, "my pleasure." I realize food industry is a hard business, but I was just surprised by lack luster quality of customer service I experienced by two staff members. I stop into this ChickFilA almost weekly. The staff has always been the professional and courteous, as we've come to expect from ChickFilA. And they have always gotten my order right. Today, the young lady (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) taking my order in the drive through assisted me with redeeming points for a reward. When the app was having trouble, rather than tell me she couldn't do it, she processed the reward as a free promo so I still received said reward. I love Chick-fil-A, I love the polite service, I love the food, I love that Sunday is a day to worship. What I don't love is a bog of soup, I love the Chicken Noodle Soup but when the top is not put on tight, I end up with soup everywhere but in the bowl. When I order the soup, I ask that they make sure the top is on tight but many times the top is loose or comes completely off. Tonight it happened again, I ordered two bowls of soup and requested they make sure the tops were on tightly, but they were not. If the tops are on tightly, the soup will not leak even if they are turned upside down. I live a mile away, when I got home both tops had come off, the paper bag was a soggy mess, soup was everywhere and I only had maybe 1/2 the soup in each bowl. Please correct this problem as soon as possible, as I said I love the soup but I don't appreciate the mess. read more

I'm a huge fan of Chik-Fil-A so it saddens me to give this particular restaurant such a low rating, but it is well warranted. There was a group of four of us. There was no line even though it was lunchtime. I was first to order and asked for mine as Take Out in case I wouldn't finish my meal. The others got there's to Eat In. We all basically got the same thing. Yet they got their food promptly, and I was standing at the counter no less than 15 minutes. In fact, I waited so long that another customer complained on my behalf. After getting my meal (abt 10 min wait) I had to wait another 5 min to get my milkshake. My first request to speak with a manager was ignored (the person wanted to take of the problem herself). My second request resulted in another 4-5 minutes for her to come over. When I stated the wait was well beyond the norm, her attitude was "oh well". She also said it was the person's first day, that "maybe he hadn't put in [my] order", and "he didn't know he had to make my shake". The customer who had complained to the women behind the cash register came over and told the manager it was crazy how long I had been standing there. She saw me when she entered the store, waited in a very long line to place her order, and she was already eating her meal. Yet even with a complete stranger making these comments, the manager made no comments or actions other than to lay blame on the employee. Needless to say, when I sat down with my coworkers, they were ready to leave. As a side note: I complained to Corporate and was told there isn't anything they can do since they are franchises. I ordered a half sweet, half unsweetened tea and a three count chicken strip. When I got my drink it was half tea and lemonade and when I went in to fix it no one asked to help me. Very hectic parking lot. It was difficult to know where to go, and there were a few near accidents. You can only pick up mobile orders curbside which doesn't really make sense, and I've never seen another Chick-fil-A do this. Waited 20 minutes in the drive-through just to be told that I had to go park curbside in order for them to give me my food. Not the kind of service I'm used to receiving at Chick-fil-A :( Then I had to wait another 15 minutes to get food curbside. It's this kind of thing that keeps people from coming back. Usually I have only good things to say about Chick-fil-A, but I honestly could've went to Cookout or McDonalds and gotten my food at least 20 minutes faster. read more

My coworkers and I have been coming to this location for over a year now and always use the drive-thru. Today was the first day they have ever had a issue with having four people in one vehicle. We were told by two separate employees that two was the max number of orders they could take and they have never accepted more. After arguing that we had done it the day before and at least once a week for the past two years they finally took our order. I understand policy changes occur but they insisted they have never allowed more than two. This review is just a heads up for those with more than two separate orders. read more

The reason for this 5 star rating was that the staff were amazing - and as typical - CFA's are just the best fast food you can get. Problem with this location is that even at 10:00 pm at night the line for the drive threw wrapped all the way around making it hard to get out of the parking lot, but what that tells you with that line outside and a line inside is that this place really is that good! read more

FISH for Lent review only: I heard of this by work of mouth, so I drove a friend across town to the only Richmond location serving it. I LOVE Chick-fil-A, but this sandwich missed their typical level of greatness. Mistake #1: It was two "Cod bits" instead of a whole piece of fish for the sandwich. Mistake #2: It was overcooked. Mistake #3: Making me wait 12mins for them to cook it. All likely because they are not accustom to cooking it. Though they've been serving it since March, they didn't advertise it... it's not on their menu board at all, so I'm guessing that it hadn't been ordered much. The seasoning was decent, but I received an opposing opinion from my friend who also ordered it. The sandwich was just okay at best. Sorry Chick-fil-A.... try to do better next year. Chick Fil A is now one of my favorite locations to visit. I enjoy the White Oak Mall restaurant because it has a children's play area for my grandson. The rubber fun house has a pleasant smell and is a safe environment in which to play. The drive-through and inside the restaurant are always busy. Long lines irritate me, but the number one combo, which includes round potatoes fries and sweet tea, is worth it. The chicken sandwich is tasty and tender. It is the tastiest Chicken Sandwich I have ever had; the round fries are soft to chew rather than hard or crispy, and the sweet tea with extra lemons is always delicious. My grandson and I enjoy the grill chicken nuggets since they are simple to chew and the round fries do not have a hard crust, which he and I prefers. The customer service I received from the staff was always courteous and pleasant. They always asked for your name when placing an order and double-checked that it was correct. I enjoy my eGift Card since I can use it to gain points on my next order and send it to family who live far away. When we arrived we were instantly greeted by some workers just sitting there talking and they even used foul language a few times. When we pulled up to the window we had to tell them our order name 3 times until they finally got it and we waited at the window for around 10 minutes before we finally got our food. When we were sitting there we heard a worker threaten to beat someone up and a worker ask another worker if they wanted to hit their vape.
