Of the dozens of Panera locations in the nation that I have visited, this one by far is the greatest failure. At one time I saw multiple employees 4 in the kitchen, yet all the hot coffee dispensers empty in the morning with no customers in line and a couple customers seated. On a second visit today, cashier said no more large soda cups, and said only medium cup available. Also when my wife made a order separately from mine, she asked if any perks available for food/bagels, the cashier said No. When my wife asked where is the menu for bagels to know what kinds available as she would order for family members at airbnb vacation home, the cashier pointed to the wall and said look there at the bagel shelfs, which were almost empty with 3 remaining flavors. My wife ordered 6 bagels for $11.xx... YET later my brother in law at home said on Tuesdays, the special is one dozen (actually 13 not 12) bagels for $9.99+ Yesterday, a cashier asked me if I would like to order anything else besides the "free drink" sip club. You need to re evaluate how to phrase questions towards customer. Also, your outdated system still does not have self-order kiosks, making it even more inconvenient especially when there is a line of customers. Quite the customer service or lack thereof. Management needs to retrain the workers to say the least. read more

It's a Panera, you know what to expect but holy smokes was the restroom a disaster. Do they clean it? I truly don't know. The bay changing table looked disgusting. Ceiling is full of mold and some areas look like it's coming down. A smell of mold hits you as you walk in. There is water dripping from the ceiling right where you order food. No way did this pass inspection in March. How irresponsible and what a disservice to the Panera staff, not to mention the customers who visit this establishment. An awesome opportunity to sit with a cup of coffee and warm up on a very cold morning, I stopped in to this Panera at 7am and stayed for a bit. The staff working this morning were friendly as I looked over the baked goods they were setting up. One large cup of coffee, which I filled at the urns. The hazelnut coffee was weak and devoid of flavor. I would call it "hot and brown." Not good and after half, I dumped it. A second cup from the "light roast" was better though still weak. $2.99 for a large coffee (plus 11% tax) for a total of $3.32? That's bonkers. Next time, I'll get coffee at Dunkies. Met at couple of friends at this location on Black Friday for a book club discussion. It wasn't very busy when we attived at 4pm, but got busy as the time moved on. The young lady behind the counter was very nice and answered our questions without hesitation. There was many pastries in the case, but I ordered a cinnamon roll that was sitting in the display case and looked so tempting. I wasn't as soft as I would have liked it, but it was tasty and sweet. One friend had a grilled cheese sandwich and enjoyed it. Everything was clean, and it was minimal noise, even when more customers came in. read more

Food was as expected for Panera. Decent, I've had fresher food at Panera. There was an employee that was very pregnant sitting in the dinning area having a lot of pain. The manager came over and sat with her until her ride got there (she insisted she didn't want an ambulance). Obviously not really related to my experience but I just thought the manager handled it well. Don't know if the business has decent leave programs for pregnant women, but she didn't need to be working. Of course that could have been her choice to continue working but I felt like this girl was bout to bust a baby on the floor. I usually go to restaurants to cure hunger. And I got my food. But I guarantee you I wouldn't have been hungry if I seen a birth. Anyway, I think the management did a good job taking care of this girl and her passenger. 3 stars. We have used this Panera Bread location the last two months to feed our software customers for lunch using their catering. The group in March was for around 25 while the group this week was closer to 50. Victoria places the order the day before and then picks it up before lunch. Both times everything ordered was what we received. Pretty impressive if you ask me! Out of the options we are given I've selected the turkey, bacon avocado sandwich. The catering boxes come with the sandwich, a bag of chips, a pickle and a cookie. Both times I've had to take the bacon off because it's under cooked and soggy and really just unappetizing to look at. I wish the sandwich would get more than one slice of avocado. I love avocado!!! The cookie is soft and yummy! We are hosting another live event next month so I'm sure we'll be ordering again. Keep up the good work. read more

The two stars are because I actually liked the Chicken Caprese Melt I had. However, although I liked the sandwich, I couldn't see or taste any chicken. Since the sandwich was to go and I was already on the road, I didn't feel like turning around. On top of that the service was pretty lousy. For starters, nobody would acknowledge me, then somebody said he'd be right with me but never came, and after about waiting for another five minutes I walked over to the counter where they hand out food to ask if someone could take my order. There's nothing wrong with the taste of the food. In fact they do a very good job with quality and taste. The place is clean and the employees are wonderful. My problem is that recently I have noticed that portion size has been cut in half. But the price is still the same. I bought a bagel, brought it home and did my best to cut it in half. This location was by the Tanger outlets which was perfect to head over to the mall once eating! Definitely not my favorite Panera Bread location. The food is still the deliciousness you expect when visiting a Panera but the service is absolute garbage. Most recently I stopped in early morning for some much needed coffee. I order pickup through the app. Coffee; cream; Madagascar vanilla syrup. I come in a few minutes later and walk up to the pick up counter. The lady asks if I ordered pick up, i tell her I did and pointed at the receipt that was tapped to the counter and told her that was me. She then barks back at me, "I'm getting to them as fast as I can" I told her it's no rush and that I have plenty of time. A few minutes later she walks out with the cup and snaps back again, "I don't know how much cream you want?!?" At this point I told her to just give me the cup and I'll do it. Okay I know everyone has their days where they just hate everything but when you work in customer service you don't have the luxury of being crappy. I was craving soup and short on time so I decided to place a pickup order from Panera. The ordering process was pretty easy and I decided to try one of their flatbreads because the pictures looked so good. I arrive at the restaurant and restaurant and park in the pickup spots. I then follow the instructions to mark that I've arrive and wait for my food to come out. After 20 minutes and no word I decided to call the store and finally got someone on the phone. After looking around they found my order and said someone would bring it right out. I asked if my order had been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes and she said yes. She was sorry about it but that was the extent of it. The flatbread was actually pretty good, but I have to say the soups have suffered since I last had them. It seems like the prices have increased quite a bit for what it is. After losing the convenience factor on this trip, I would say Panera didn't earn any points for me to come back any time soon. read more

The location is very convenient and seems to be in the middle of everything during the day and easy to get to. This is also a good spot to have a business meeting or get some work done during the day as there is plenty of space to meet or work. Don't bother wasting your money. It takes them 35 minutes to bring out a small smoothie and two strawberry yogurt pouches for a curbside order made an hour ahead. My friend and I went here last week for lunch and it's delicious! They have a huge selection. I like the Pick Two combos, and I got a butternut squash soup and a small Greek salad. The butternut squash soup was delicious and very filling, and it's a seasonal item. They change up things on the menu for each season and they have a lot of healthy choices. Also, they are super fast with your order! As soon as I filled my drink and got to my table, the buzzer went off that my order was ready. The kitchen seemed frantic, yet a dozen of us were standing there waiting for our food, and nothing was coming out. It was pretty strange. The man who took my order was incredibly friendly, as was the girl who made my coffee (I just wish it would have been made properly). On that note...my food! Everything came out close to how I asked. The only mixups were that I got french bread instead of fruit, and my cappuccino was very much a latte. Worst experience ever. I usually love to leave reviews that are positive in nature or have some light of hope, unfortunately, this won't be that. Background: I have been a Panera customer for quite some time. Back when You Pick 2 was a novel idea and affordable. Fast forward to present day. $40 bill for two you pick 2s, a drink, kids mac, and a scone (more on the scone soon). Even if the order was prepared in less than 35 minutes, had all the required ingredients, and was accompanied by the scone, it would still be over priced and flat on flavor. Oh, what? 35 minutes for a Panera order? Yeah, major fail on management. Missing about half of the ingredients, prep staff fail. Forgot my son's Mac? I'm sensing a trend. So the scone was supposed to be delivered upon check out at the register, and was the last orange scone, but wasn't. Juggling a 20 month old and a 9 year old proved to be too much for me to remember to tell the person to do the job they were trained to do, my bad. Oh, and some person behind us also ordered it and was given it. Bright side, got to try the kitchen sink cookie and I would say it was the only positive thing about this whole experience. One of the best Panera's I've been too (and I've honestly been to plenty of these - not by my choice) from coast-to-coast. A big Panera, it was on a busy Thursday lunchtime we arrived. On our way to Mrytle Beach we stopped in the stretch our legs and eat. The fare is about like any other Panera - sandwiches, soups, bowls, drinks of all kinds, and pastries. What set this locale apart from others I've been was the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and the service. All open tables were clean, and staff was on-the-spot clean the latest table left dirty. Cashiers were friendly and helpful as were the folks serving the actual food. The second time in a month that I've asked for a bread bowl and they were out. The company is called Panera bread, but they don't seem to bake bread when they run out? Very unusual! Breakfast/Morning I'm here a lot and have noticed the service is really going downhill. Today service was poor with a lack of employee engagement. No smiles. Clearly someone called out b/c man in front of me waited 3-4 minutes before anyone came to register. Bagels had no labels on them so couldn't identify what I was looking for. The restroom stunk and the toilet was absolutely gross with you know what. That said upon bringing to their attention they responded immediately and addressed the issue. I would rate Panera as one of the best quick service places for lunch. They have great quality, and fresh food choices, most of which are fairly healthy. Their customer service is also always top notch! Friendly, helpful, and ready to serve. My favorite items have always been the broccoli cheddar soup, and the sierra turkey sandwich. The sierra turkey sandwich was removed from the menu however, many months ago. However I've discovered that even with it being removed from the menu, that doesn't mean you can't order it. I now continue to order it without any issue whatsoever! The food is always prepared very quickly, and always hot! There really is nothing bad that I can say about Panera Bread!
