$2.99 plus 11% tax for hot brown water.

An awesome opportunity to sit with a cup of coffee and warm up on a very cold morning, I stopped in to this Panera at 7am and stayed for a bit. The staff working this morning were friendly as I looked over the baked goods they were setting up. One large cup of coffee, which I filled at the urns. The hazelnut coffee was weak and devoid of flavor. I would call it "hot and brown." Not good and after half, I dumped it. A second cup from the "light roast" was better though still weak. $2.99 for a large coffee (plus 11% tax) for a total of $3.32? That's bonkers. Next time, I'll get coffee at Dunkies. (There's also a Starbucks across the way with a very long drive through queue.) [Review 19345 overall - 923 in South Carolina - 315 of 2023.]

Turkey Avocado BLT with a pickle chips and a cookie. Catered lunch to our office
    Rebecca A.

We have used this Panera Bread location the last two months to feed our software customers for lunch using their catering. The group in March was for around 25 while the group this week was closer to 50. Victoria places the order the day before and then picks it up before lunch. Both times everything ordered was what we received. Pretty impressive if you ask me! Out of the options we are given I've selected the turkey, bacon avocado sandwich. The catering boxes come with the sandwich, a bag of chips, a pickle and a cookie. Both times I've had to take the bacon off because it's under cooked and soggy and really just unappetizing to look at. I wish the sandwich would get more than one slice of avocado. I love avocado!!! The cookie is soft and yummy! We are hosting another live event next month so I'm sure we'll be ordering again. Keep up the good work.

Awesome staff. Super chill. Super professional and super nice. That is the trifecta of customer service. Spacious seating, good coffee, great salads and right in the heart of Tanger and the Coliseum. This is a good place to grab a quick bite or sit and work

    Chicken noodle soup

I originally ordered broccoli cheddar soup (bowl) and they said they didn't have it. I said Chicken noodle soup is fine. This is how much soup they gave me. In a cup not a bowl like I originally ordered. I'm tired of spending so much money here for them to do this.

There's nothing wrong with the taste of the food. In fact they do a very good job with quality and taste. The place is clean and the employees are wonderful. My problem is that recently I have noticed that portion size has been cut in half. But the price is still the same. I bought a bagel, brought it home and did my best to cut it in half. It was like taking a slice of bread out and trying to cut the bread in half to make two slices out of one. I am going to have to spend my money where I get more for my dollar.

Good service and atmosphere, but their new chicken tikka masala soup is not it. It does not taste like chicken tikka, wish I could return food I don't like

Today was windy and chilly and I was definitely was craving something warm and yummy. Called my friend asked if she wanted to meet up and get soup. This location was by the Tanger outlets which was perfect to head over to the mall once eating! I decided on the bread bowl with the Broccoli Cheddar Soup and it was delicious and the bread was yummy and the combination of both is just perfect together ! I predict more Panera Soup meet ups soon. We went around lunch time not to busy and the staff was beyond nice.

Definitely not my favorite Panera Bread location. The food is still the deliciousness you expect when visiting a Panera but the service is absolute garbage. Most recently I stopped in early morning for some much needed coffee. I order pickup through the app. Coffee; cream; Madagascar vanilla syrup. I come in a few minutes later and walk up to the pick up counter. The lady asks if I ordered pick up, i tell her I did and pointed at the receipt that was tapped to the counter and told her that was me. She then barks back at me, "I'm getting to them as fast as I can" I told her it's no rush and that I have plenty of time. A few minutes later she walks out with the cup and snaps back again, "I don't know how much cream you want?!?" At this point I told her to just give me the cup and I'll do it. Okay I know everyone has their days where they just hate everything but when you work in customer service you don't have the luxury of being crappy. Fake a smile, pour the coffee, complain under your breath and repeat! Don't bring down everyone else because someone pissed in your Cheerios.

I ordered the 1/2 honey fried chicken w/ mac & cheese and collard greens. For dessert, we shared pecan pie. The chicken was moist & delicious from being brined and seasoning in the batter. The batter was crunchy, and perfectly applied so you didn't bite into a hunk of just batter. Likewise, the sides were some of the best I had during my trip to SC. Lastly, the pecan pie was really good also. However, I was expecting a bigger & taller slice. Regarding the ambiance, its smart casual here. The decor is fancier vs the down home cooking. Danielle took very good care of us. She was friendly & attentive. Florence's did the trick for us. We had eaten a lot of raw seafood and BBQ. This Lowcountry cuisine gave us a nice change of pace during our trip.

My friend said the tomato pie was really good but it's all cheese and tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were crispy but needed seasoning. They were incredibly bland. For the main dish she ordered the smash burger and I ordered the fish and grits. She took one bite of the smash burger and sent it back saying it tasted like a frozen burger you'd get at Walmart. The fish and grits were ok. They too were bland and needed salt. A LOT of salt or any other seasoning. The okra, Lima beans and corn that come in this dish also tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. There is no seasoning in this dish whatsoever. Unfortunately this place was a miss and we won't be returning. Also the bathrooms look like a porta potty. You know the cheap plastic that porta potties are made out of? Yeah that's what the stalls are made out of. It looks so cheap and a big contrast from the rest of the restaurant. The staff was nice but they also look like they hate working here.

Although some dishes are seasonal, these happen to be entrees that are served year-round according to our server Both were quite delicious. The vegetarian plate had a wide variety of veggies -- from mashed potatoes, to wilted spinach, asparagus, green beans, and fried tomato's. There were only two medium pieces of fried tomato so I do wish they put more in the plate but oh well. My partner loved his bouillabaisse and apparently it's the southern rendition of a French dish that is one of their most popular dishes. It has lots of seafood in it. The meal also came with complimentary warm bread, which was nice. The pecan pie was very good, but the crust was kind of hard and there were fewer pecans than I'm used to and more caramel. The ambiance is more formal but people were dressed mostly casual (and chic if I might add). Dim lighting and if you don't want as much noise to carry I would ask for seating in the back because it's noticeably louder in the front. Overall the food is very good and prices are not as expensive for the quality. Our server was great!

I have been living in Charleston since 2010 and have been looking for a French restaurant for years. One day while walking around the French Quarter I noticed a quaint lil French bistro and put it on my "gotta try" list. So I came to see what all the 5 star reviews were about and boy was I disappointed from the get go. I try my best not to judge a book by its cover and lemme tell you I'm not scared of whole in the walls and the gems in different hodgepodge places, if it's got good eats, I'm there. I usually will try a restaurant 3 times before writing a review but helllllll no. The food and experience was so bad y'all! I have to tell you about my experience NOW while the bad taste is still in my mouth! I ordered the soup of the day which was she crab soup and a baguette. I thought cool French baguette is my fave and how could you go wrong with soup. No, I got 2 small slices of stale baguette top with some kind of cheese like a lunchable you can get at the grocery store and soup that was too salty to eat! So I said let me try something that you can't mess up. A croissant! A chocolate one well they messed that up too! How can you get a croissant wrong, and it was store bought croissants! Yuck! From a FRENCH restaurant, not made in house but if I'm wrong then those were the worst croissants ever!!!!!! Please people don't eat here! The serve staff did not greet us, ignored us and asked a white patron about his party of guests even though we were there 10 minutes before and the host knew he did wrong for asking to seat the other guy before acknowledging us because he caught my stare and we locked eyes and I did not back down or break the eye contact to let him know, yea fellow you totally ignored me for 10 minutes and asked the other guy how many in his party 1st! Even after the poor service I was dealt with in the beginning I still wanted to give it a chance, but after hearing how the wait staff addressed other patrons about how short staff they were and how horrible they had to do so many things I about had it. I was looking forward to a hot fresh French press coffee and was let down again. Weakest French press coffee just take my advice and walk swiftly past this whole in the wall. I can't believe this place is still open after so many years. Really Charlestonians!?! Really? I know we have more restaurants per square capita but this one has got to go. We ate some food because we were shopping and so hungry, but after that we paid and left fast

I went to look at their online menu and realized I'd be keeping it light for the sake of my daily food budget. I called in to order takeout and ordered the Blintz, as it was reasonably priced and fair for the portion size: two crepes filled with their beef filling and a side of sour cream priced at $7.99. When I walked up to pay, the lady rang me up for $10 and change. I thought it was weird that I was paying nearly two dollars in tax on an eight-dollar purchase. She printed out the receipt, and it showed the price was $8.99 for the Blintz. There happened to be a menu right next to the cash register, and I pointed out that it said $7.99, and that their website said the same thing. She said, "sorry ‍," and just waved me off as if it was completely irrelevant and not worth looking into. Obviously, a dollar is not the end of the world--it's more the principle of placing an order under the expectation that prices are as advertised, and that not being the case, plus them not caring about it. I paid the $10 and took the food. They forgot the sour cream, so I had to ask for that. The last disappointment was when I found out how much food I got for $10. I get that you pay a little extra for quality, but sheesh... these things are barely the size of my finger. The food was overall pretty tasty; if we're just measuring taste, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and it might be hard for me to try again.
