The portions were so small it was more like eating a 1/3 of a sandwich and my husband got a bag of chips with his meal that was worth .60 from a vending machine. I would think they could do better then that. At least give your customers a handful of chips on the side of your plate like most cafés if that's the look you are going for. We won't be back unless everything else is closed and that a big if. The only enjoyable thing was the cookie my son had. At 5:30 PM on November 13, 2019 I placed an online order for two items and requested the Rapid Pickup option. I picked up the order at 6:00 PM and went home. My wife's order was a Napa Almond Chicken Salad sandwich. That was fine. My order was a customized Whole Asian Sesame Salad with chicken. And one of the "custom" requests was "extra chicken" which costs a little over $2.00. When I opened the container, there was NO chicken! Not one piece. I called the Panera location and asked for the manager. His name was Sean and he was very nice and apologetic. I did mention to him that I was going to put the credit card charge in dispute since I was not going to pay for it. He said not a problem and removed the charge. I will return to this Panera since it is close and this was the first time with a problem. But how can the preparer be making a chicken salad and forget the chicken? I absolutely love Panera but this location is terrible. They need to get their act together and stop being so rude to customers. On one occasion, I was super excited to get the Autumn Squash soup for the first time this season as it's my absolute favorite but when I arrived the cashier said the soup got messed up that day and they didn't have any until tomorrow. On another occasion, the cashier that took our order was the absolute slowest person ever. It took him at least 20 minutes just to get an order in for 3 people. When our orders arrived, they told us that the soup I ordered wouldn't be ready for another hour....AT PRIME TIME LUNCH HOUR. Wouldn't you be prepared for that?! And they forgot the chicken on my salad. When I went up to the counter to tell them I didn't get chicken, they acted like I was stupid and I was inconveniencing them. Not a good feeling. I'm a panera regular at several different locations. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this particular location just messes up every single time. Do not use the rapid pick up here. I love the app, and I use it at other locations, but the staff is responsible for updating the app with what bakery items they have, and this location never does it. So you end up having to wait in line anyway because your order is incomplete. And I have to echo some other reviews, check your order before you leave the store. They get something wrong every time. Today it was leaving out my side baguette with the salad I ordered. The food is ultimately as good as any other panera, but for this location only go there if you are eating there and can correct any issues and you aren't in a hurry. read more

Pulled up to this location 5 minutes before there scheduled closing time (8PM / Sunday night) and the door was already locked. Made eye contact through the window with an employee, in which he gave a "sorry, sort of sarcastic smirk" as if to say, sorry your to late. Even though they should not have been closed or the door locked for another 5 minutes. He then went on to mock us to his co-workers, very unprofessional. We will NOT be returning to this location, very disappointing. I've worked here, and would never recommend it!! Its a nightmare! The managers do not treat their employees with respect, and aren't even that respectful to the customers. However, I still go regularly, as I do enjoy a good sandwich every now and then, and the employees are super nice, and wonderful to their customers. My sister and I went through the drive thru and waited over twenty minutes for our food. The worker was really nice and apologized for the wait, saying they had a lot of trainees. As someone who worked at a Panera for over two years, I've never seen the wait be that long while training. When we got our breakfast sandwiches, mine was perfect and tasty while my sister had the smallest sandwich I've ever seen for $5. She asked for sour dough instead of the ciabatta and the bread was pathetic. It was the fourth of the size of my sandwich which was on a bagel. Her egg was the wrong type also. The worst Panera experience ever! If you place a Rapid Pickup order be sure to check and recheck to make sure everything is there. There were two items missing from the order, where one of the items was not even available. The staff was able to correct the missing items, good thing I checked before leaving the store. But when I got home and unpackaged everything, the sandwiches were wrong and missing the side items. I called the store and spoke to the manager at the time. He took my name and phone number so that the GM could call and give me a refund the next day, four days later still no phone call. It was a snowy night but I still decided to pick up some warm soup and a sandwich for dinner. I went inside to order to ensure I got a soup I would like. I ordered a soup and sandwich to go. Unfortunately when I got home they had given me the wrong soup and when I pulled out the bread there were two bugs on it. It was a real disappointment and I'd spent $20. With all the Panera's around town, I was shocked to see how everyone flocked to this location on opening day as if they were giving out free money. Maybe they were. I skipped the first week lines, but have been in twice since they opened. It seems they're still figuring things out (they were out of coffee my first visit, out of cream cheese my second visit). Long lines, slow service, and most frustrating of all, small portion sizes, salads that do not contain the advertised ingredients. They cut corners, cheap out on the better ingredients, send out orders in the wrong size containers, run out of ingredients for smoothies and side items, and serve smaller portions. Filthy! The dinning area was so dirty we could not find a single clean table, large chunks of food and old means lined the floors and tables. We talked to the manager but she said she was sorry for the condition the place was in but she had everyone on break for 30 minutes and those that did not go on break had been busy "Counting pecans" whatever that means. I ordered a to go salad for myself, and a to go soup for my ten year old daughter. When I checked my order I did not have a spoon for her soup so I asked for one since I cannot find anything out. The two people giving out the food told me they don't have spoon, so I said I need spoon....how is she supposed to eat her soup with a fork? The guy irritatedly gave me a metal spoon, as if it was my fault. I have been to panera bread In CO Springs and have always loved it there...the employees in Castle Rock seem disgruntled and unhappy with their job. If they knew they were out of of plastic spoons they should have told people ordering soups that they are out, and not send them out with the order without the proper utensils. The first time, the girl somehow heard hot chocolate from ham sandwich and salad pick two. She gave me a full sized sandwich and a full size salad and charged me for a hot chocolate that she never even tried to give me? Today, I ordered the most simple thing: a half order of the Greek salad, no olives, and please toss the dressing. Guess what? There are olives and the dressing was not tossed and I was charged for chicken and didn't get any!!. The guy at the window also had no charisma, barely spoke to me, and I couldn't even hear him. I'm so irritated. I realize it's just a salad but if I'm spending my money, I at least want it to be correct. WORKING IN A DRIVE THRU IS NOT DIFFICULT. I had a horrible experience with the 16th location in Denver. I ordered coffee, half dozen bagels, and two croissants. My order took over 50 minutes from start to finish and when I left your store, my bagels were not in the bag, when the cashier pointed inside the bag confirming they were there. Before that, the team messed up a coffee order which caused me to be late to my meeting and I no longer needed the coffee. I called up the location telling them what had happened and the person taking my call said that he would talk to his store manager but I should be getting a full refund. When I received a call back, I only got a refund on bagels. This order was a for a non-profit organization.
