We were so excited to dine here and we were very disappointed with the experience. I don't even know where to start. The beginning was great. We were seated quickly and our server was there to take our order. I loved the look of the restaurant with the beautiful murals on the wall. We placed our order quickly. Then it all fell apart. Our food came out but only 3 of the 4 meals. It was clearly a mistake on their part but no apology at all. The pho (11) was horrible. This party was accustomed to eating pho and this serving was not good. The spicy beef was tough and dry. The service that started out so well quickly became terrible. We had to flag our server down for everything: Drink refills, to go boxes, the bill - and it's a small place!!!! Now the billing - I hardly ever include the receipt in my reviews but I wanted to be clear - they charge for refills!!! The drinks were $3.75 EACH!!!! I had the iced tea. Just plain old unsweetened tea!!! I was charged $3.75 for a refill. When I asked about it there was a hesitation and then a response of yes we charge for refills. If you go here to dine, I hope that your experience is 200% better than ours. I will not be returning and I am a second chance person. May our experience be an exception - that does happen. I was so disappointed. I just ordered Chicken Pho to go. I get it home and put it together, heated it up and began to eat it. The chicken tasted like it was cooked and shredded yesterday and left in the refrigerator uncovered. It had that refrigerator taste to it. I ate some of the noodles and I ate my spring rolls as those were good. The chicken taste totally ruined the entire bowl of Pho. Will not be back as all it takes is one time to ruin it forever. We came on a rainy Tuesday and it was PACKED. We had to wait for seating since there were no tables (if that doesn't tell you how good the food is), but we got sat within 5-10 minutes. The place was crazy, AND there were only 2 guys running the show at first. From taking orders, answering the phone, bussing tables, to still cracking jokes along the way, the food was AMAZING. Some were getting inpatient, but these guys were running ALL over the place and somehow keeping up with everything. It was such an impressive show to watch and we have so much respect for this place. Really frustrating to see people not understanding their situation during rush hour, but they were working incredibly hard to appease customers. Food wise, highly recommend the spring rolls but the crab wontons were to die for! We will definitely be back for more :-) read more

I see them check on other people and bring them their check. I'm literally in here 2-3 times a week and they never remember me not check in once the food comes. Not sure what that's about. Pleasantly surprised to find yummy Pho in Castle Rock as I had heard it didn't exist here. I thought the rare beef Pho broth was flavorful and it had a large amount of all the typical goods to add in. My daughter and I split a large bowl and it was perfect! The milk tea boba I didn't realize was a thick frosty like milk tea with not much flavor , although the boba was the right consistency and yummy. Next time I'll try getting a Thai tea with boba. Been a customer for 8 years and have always enjoyed a wonderful bowl of pho. They have many other dishes and variants but my favorite is pho tai, or fine cut of beef slices. A small sized bowl is typically enough but adding extra meat really makes it a meal. So why haven't I written sooner? I guess today I realized (for me anyway) how to really differentiate one pho restaurant from another. It seemed for a long time it was like trying to differentiate between one Red Robin restaurant and another. What I've decided is the key differentiation is the broth. Different places make the pho broth differently. This particular restaurant makes an exceptional broth for pho; not salty, not oily, just a real pleasant compliment to the noodles and whatever else you're having in the bowl. Condiments of bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers, and Thai Basil are always crisp and fresh. The restaurant is very clean, the young men who run it are friendly and very welcoming. The service is also quite prompt but I do recommend going as early as you can for the lunch time (opens at 10am). I will also note the shrimp spring rolls (rice paper wrapped vegetables and shrimp) with a delicious peanut dipping sauce was and always is a great appetizer! read more

Of the Asian restaurants I've tried in Castle Rock, this is one of the better ones. I'm so leery trying them that I haven't ventured to many. I've asked several people and no one recommends any of the Asian restaurants in Castle Rock. I ordered the seafood pho and he chose the vermicelli with grilled beef. I'm not a fan of the dry vermicelli style as to me it's a little tasteless. He said the beef was gristly and a little chewy. My seafood pho was hot and it was so so. The broth didn't have a lot of flavor to it. I added sriracha after putting the mint leaves, bean sprouts and lime into the soup. The amount of seafood was dismal. Four shrimp, one shrimp ball and one imitation crab sliced. One shrimp ball - that's crazy. Shrimp balls aren't that expensive. And no mussels at all which is what it's supposed to come with. I'm ok if they were out but let me know and replace it with more something else. At $14.25 for a medium bowl I think that's highway robbery. Rice noodles are inexpensive and there was mostly that. So if I am craving Asian food I might stop by but I would not make it a point to come eat here. Service was also not great. Not attentive and I had to signal for the check after we waited a while. Tasty eats. Since it was a pho restaurant both my wife (rare steak) and I (seafood) each had a small bowl, which was plenty for each of us. For appetizers I had the pork spring rolls, served with peanut sauce (which I mixed with siracha). My wife had crab rangoon. They also offer dinner plates with rice. I will be back to try those. Clean place. It has sanitizer near the entrance. Stuff wears masks and gloves (not everyone in gloves, though). We were seated in the booth. Other parties were located far enough from us. So they keep the distance while seating customers. Most of the dishes were delicious and freshly cooked. I wasn't happy with egg rolls though -- too greasy. Fried rice is very delicious. The Pho here is pretty good and authentic. This place reminded me of a Pho restaurant in Wheaton Illinois. We dined in because for me Pho is not the same if you do carry out. There dinning area Is pretty big. We were greeted and sat immediately. We had a party of four. There menu is small but I like it that way. You normally come to a Pho restaurant to have Pho so keeping it simple is a good. We tried a Chicken Pho, a steak and meatball Pho, shrimp noodle bowl, and some beef fried rice with vegetables. Everything was prepared well and taste authentic. Server was very polite and made sure we had a good experience. Being our first time here I would say I would return. It's good comfort food and a quiet place to enjoy the evening with friends and family. read more

This place has really suffered. The food is excellent--one of the deepest and most complex pho broths around. But the service has declined and continues to worsen. They publish open hours until 8:30, but at 7:50 the rude staff start discouraging diners and suggesting take out. It is very off putting. Tonight (Sunday's published hours are until 8), I went in at 7:39 and the lights were already off. The usually welcoming "Open" sign was not lit. I like Andy, the proprietor, and I eat (well, ate, past tense) there often with our family. And we enjoy supporting small business. Our excursions to Pho 777 have been almost a weekly event. This place is not that great. Went here for lunch and was very unimpressed. $13 for the medium bowl which would've been a small at other places. The pho itself was pretty subpar as well. They barely give you any meat, and there was basically no tripe at all in the bowl I ordered. Noodles were pretty average, but the broth was almost flavorless.
