As a Vietnamese person, I'm pretty picky about pho, and so are my parents. We all thought this place was absolutely amazing. The biggest surprise was my dad - he has never, in my entire life, genuinely liked a pho restaurant, but he loved this one. The owner told us they marinate the meat and make the broth over the course of two days, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The broth is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with a lot of care. The vegetables are incredibly fresh, and they don't skimp on the meat - you get generous portions in every bowl. On top of the fantastic food, the owners are some of the friendliest, most personable people you'll meet. They genuinely make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in and treat you like family. Came here for a late solo lunch. It was later in the day and was able to sit right away which was nice cause it was cold and I was very hungry. I was quickly greeted by the server who kindly took my order. I went with the chicken pho size small. The flavors of the broth were pretty light so, I added some hot sauce which helped. I ordered via Door Dash and was really looking forward to pho and Vietnamese egg rolls, but was disappointed. The shrimp pho lacked flavor. But my biggest disappointment was the egg rolls, which I taught by a Vietnamese woman. They used rice paper, like use for spring rolls. Frying these wraps makes them chewy vs crisp. The signage as you walk in is very unwelcoming, especially if you have children. I won't be coming back until those signs are removed. What's confusing is that half the time one of the servers is walking around with a baby on her hip, which is great to see, but it sends a mixed message when the business itself appears to be anti-kid. Beyond that, the food is actually pretty good, and the service has generally been friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there's also a strange odor inside the restaurant that has been noticeable on more than one visit and takes away from the overall experience. We've always liked this place because the food and staff have a lot going for them, but between the unwelcoming signage and the unpleasant smell, it's not somewhere I'll be returning to unless those issues are addressed. read more

We ordered from here one time last year when my daughter was in town, she was in town again and we decided to stay in on Friday and order out. So glad we ordered from here again. I did not realize the menu was so extensive. Now I know. I ordered the Pad Thai, I love me some Pad Thai, and the hotter the better. So we ordered via Doordash. If you don't pick it up there or eat in, Doordash is your only delivery option. But a good one. When I put in my order I of course asked Thai hot, the hotter the better. Oh MAN! They delivered on the heat! It was soooo good! And I am looking forward to the leftovers this weekend. The restaurant had a few tables with customers and only one waitress - but she did a fabulous job of taking care of us, making sure our drinks were always filled. The restaurant was warm and lit up - making it a nice meal. We ordered the Spring Rolls and Salt and Pepper Wings - these have never disappointed us. We usually have the pho but decided for something a bit different. For dinner we had the Combo Pad Thai and Chicken Pud Noodles. The menu did say spicy, and it did not disappoint. They both had much more heat than most places, making them even more delicious. Unfortunately, no beer or alcohol served but the food and service did not disappoint. Take out is always ready FAST! Or when you want to be ready! The servers in the restaurant are so nice, fast and attentive, and the food is just incredible! I've tried a lot of different played and they are all wonderful! The pho broth is extremely good as well! Prices are about 30% higher than depicted on Yelp. Protein included in rice plates are dwarfed by the rice. Never seen this level of filler before from an Asian restaurant. Considering the prices, yet another disappointing Asian restaurant in the Castle Pines/Rock area. Recommend heading closer to Denver for an improved dining experience. That said, the chicken on the chicken plate was some sort of ginger chicken, which was pretty good. Quantity was lacking though. Orange chicken tasted good but had a lot of breading and skimped on the chicken. Spring rolls were heavy on the lettuce - I'd say about 2/3 of the filling is ice berg lettuce, the other 1/3 is with a small strip of pork and one shrimp, halved. Spring roll was massive, but sadly the worst spring roll I've ever had because of the iceberg lettuce and the amount thereof. read more

The pho here is great but if you ever have a craving for something different, try the Shaking Beef. It's peppery but has a little sweet and sour from the sauce drizzled on bed of lettuce. Tried our new local Pho restaurant tonight. I'll be honest I'm bias because I need better options near home, but my first experience was really good. They just opened and there was a crowd, other people like myself excited about the potential in Castle Pines I'm sure. The Pho was good. Rich broth with tender meats and traditional veggies. Sesame chicken was spot on, my son lacks adventure so he was happy to find Chinese options. Egg rolls didn't taste like frozen commercial varieties. This is the go-to pho restaurant in the Castle Pines/Rock area because they get the broth right. The flavor is there without having to add sriracha and/or hoisin. You know the business is legitimate when the offer both tripe and tendon on the menu. Vietnamese eggrolls were a pleasant small dish. Honestly, the pricing is fantastic and for a medium bowl of pho, the substance was plenty. Also, they have excellent boba tea. Service is quick and easy. Our server comes in and out with drinks, orders, and the food faster than you can blink. No excessive waiting required. The atmosphere was your standard Asian restaurant. It skips the excessive need of decor or having to entice the customer. The booths were big, cushy, and long, so if you wanted to have a table of six, you could. This place is close to us so we hoped this would be an authentic Asian spot. Unfortunately the fried rice and pad Thai were just not it. The pad Thai was way too sweet and not spicy enough even after asking for extra spicy. It was also dry and not very saucy. This was our first time there, and we'll be back often now. The restaurant was clean, and we were greeted and seated immediately by the same friendly server who took care of us. We were seated in a comfortable booth. The menu is well organized and easy to read. We started with the pork spring rolls. I've tried spring rolls at many places, but these were my favorite. The pork was wrapped at the top of the roll and was still warm. It was served to us very fresh. It came with a light an tasty dipping sauce. Yum! We both got a noodle bowl for our meal. One chicken and one pork. The generous portion of meat was attractively and thinly sliced. It was well marinated and tasted great. The bowl was absolutely HUGE, and neither of us could finish it. I would have expected to pay more for such a tasty and satisfying meal. We were both very impressed. I don't know why there wasn't a line out the door. I think it might be a well kept secret in Castle Pines, or like us (before this visit) people don't realize that it's a comfortable sit down restaurant with fantastic food. read more

For us, Pho 5 is a local restaurant, and that's a good thing! The staff is always cheerful and anxious to help. The Pho is excellent and always has more than enough broth to noodles and plenty of garnish. But the real surprise is the salt and pepper wings...yes, wings. They are so crispy and served with a minced garlic mixture that is to die for! I love a good, crispy wing, but these are elevated far above the rest. The funny thing is, there is a wing shop just a few doors down. The other menu items I've had are equally as good and appetizing; I highly recommend the sesame chicken. We got the crab cheese Rangoon-crispy and extra yummy with the sauce, grilled beef with rice-tender and grilled perfectly, veggie pho-refreshing and filling and mango boba-sweet but not too sweet and the bobas weren't over or under cooked.
