Waiting over 40 minutes for a curbside order is ridiculous...probably gonna be an hour
Amanda G.

One star given because my order got comped and that's the minimum that I can give but that isn't the point. I have had many issues with this location in the past. They constantly screw up orders but it had been a minute since we ordered here and since they made it through the pandemic, I figured that maybe they've improved on their service....wrong! Let me preface by saying that I worked all day today and started feeling ill, so much so, that I went and got a second rapid and PCR test at a nearby urgent care to make sure I'm negative for covi. I'm talking about fever, chills, body aches, the whole nine...I had NO intention to cook, so I decided to order curbside from Panera for the fam. I specifically ordered curbside because I felt like UTTER trash and I felt it would be more responsible to not go inside since I am not feeling well, so as not to exposure anyone to whatever I got. I ordered a large meal at a quarter to 5p and the site said the order would be available in 10 minutes after I submitted. I followed the instructions, found a curbside parking spot, turned on my hazard lights and alerted them through the text confirmation that I was ready for my order. Fifteen minutes later, I received a message saying that the order was ready. I sat in my car for over 30 minutes and decided to call and find out what the deal was. Linda, the covering manager, answers and gets my name. She looks to see what happened to my order and says it was not there and she doesn't know what happened to it. She said they were short-staffed and that she, herself, got my order together but for some reason it wasn't there and that she would have to redo it. I find all of this BS, because I had been in the parking lot for over 30 minutes and people that arrived after me, went into the restaurant ordered their food, received it and left before I got anything. While I was talking to her I received a text message saying my food was ready. Go fig. Fifteen minutes later, no food. I get annoyed and go inside, which is what I was trying to avoid for many reasons. I ask for the manager. She says my order is being worked on. At this point, the fluorescent lights are worsening my headache. I feel like total shite. Linda jumps behind the counter and starts rushing my order in the bag. She comes around, calls my name and offers a stupid pastry for the wait. I declined. At this point I'm even more annoyed because it's been almost 60 minutes. I grab the bag and drive home. I ate some soup. I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I scarfed down their VERY salty chicken soup. We're checking the order and realize that they left out a bread bowl. I call Linda and she offers to credit me a bread bowl. Guess what? I have to go back to Panera in order to get a refund for their mistake. The gas spent on the drive alone, would make my refund null, but whatevs. I'm lounging on my terrace in the heat of the sun, freezing under a warm blanket, and my son comes to show me his bacon turkey bravo. He already took a couple of bites and I can clearly see the white square paper that they use to separate the ingredients to make sure each sandwich gets the same amount of cheese and protein. Ya'll, he ate PAPER. I call to speak with Leeenda again, and after initially waiting on the phone for 10 minutes, I called back and she answered. I told her about the paper, she apologizes and comps the meal. I get being short-staffed but this is food service. If there are less people working the line then you should pay that much more attention to detail, ensuring that the food people will be ingesting is actually edible. I have a feeling they never made my order. Another person with my same last name came in for his order and it looks like they were just going by names on the order instead of the actual order numbers. Thanks for the free dinner but the entire thing was ruined. At least I had my salty soup?

Awful! Don't come here during lunch hour! Or don't bother ordering ahead either because it won't matter. The parking situation is terrible. We waited 30 min for our food to be made and when we finally got our order it was wrong! They were working on all of the catering orders before all the orders of people who ordered in the store. I haven't been to a Panera in a while but $32 for mediocre food for two people is a little steep. Take a look at the picture of my green goddess with chicken salad and tell me if that bacon looks appetizing! My boyfriend ordered his salad with chicken and they didn't put any on. Very disappointed! Won't be back!

Horrible. I waited 25 mins for toasted bread, lettuce, tomato and a tiny slice of mozzarella. Never coming again

Incredibly slow and does not care about their customers concerns and needs. Place is dirty. Food quality as you can see isn't a priority either. Wouldn't recommend to a cockroach.

The food was of good quality it was big portions and done correctly. I was a bit annoyed because they ran out of chips and that was part of why I went to Panera. The service took extremely long it was annoying and they clearly were overwhelmed. The ambiance was chill it was a bit overcrowded but they had slow music playing.

It was only a small amount of sauce that I didn't ask for, but it ruined the sandwich

I could only give them a one-star rating because there was no option for zero stars. From delivery to how i received my food. I ordered turkey chili and half a sandwich, but ended up throwing the whole meal away. The dish was overloaded with vegetables and had very little meat. I was disappointed with the meal and expected better from Panera.

Haven't been to Panera in such a long time!!!! Gosh! Ordered a chipotle, scrambled egg wrap and a green passion smoothie. The smoothie was great, the wrap didn't sit well with my stomach at all. Something about it tasted off. The smoothie came out fast! But the wait was so long for the wrap. Kinda wished I came back to change my food order. I will be back nevertheless.

The manager gave me a full refund without any issues even though it took me about 3 weeks to get back to this location. I also got a broccoli cheddar soup this time and there were no flaws.

I am surprised that there aren't more Panera's in the Bronx. This one is all the way out east in a big commercial area. It looks like your typical Panera with unfortunately no indoor seating due to Covid. The bathroom is clean which sometimes hit or miss at Panera. The food was hit or miss a little. The chipotle chicken avocado melt was spot on but the chicken noodle was horrible. It was served cold and had no flavor. Horrible. The chocolate chip cookie tasted a day old as well. Other than the chicken melt this wasn't the best experience.

A COCKROACH in Panera Chicken Cesar Salad
Yasli S.

If I can give this review zero stars, I WOULD! I stopped by yesterday to grab some lunch at the Panera Bread located right on Baychester, Bronx, NY. I placed my order with the store manager, whereas I ordered a "You Pick Two". I decided on the Bacon/Cheese Melt alongside the Chicken Cesar Salad. When I finally receive my order, I head out and start taking my items out my bag to double check all was correct with my order.. where I quickly spotted a COCKROACH CRAWLING inside of my Chicken Cesar Salad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I immediately called over the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager (as he was also the same individual who took my order). While on the phone with the Manager, he quickly asks me to please return the salad back to the restaurant and also offered me a full refund on my recent purchase. When I finally arrive back to the restaurant I ask to see the Manager, and he greets me again, and asks for the salad back. He then apologized for the finding of the COCKROACH in my salad and states that he will be issuing a refund of my purchase. Once the refund was issued, he then asks if I would like anything "on the house" from the restaurant's bakery .. where I quickly replied with a "no". To wrap up my experience, he offers me a "You Pick Two" coupon, which basically allowed me to put it to use at any Panera Bread location and I wouls be able to get a free meal on them.. Once I got in my house and was able to review the coupon, I realized that the coupon was expired since 2018!!!!!!! I solely, wanted to share my experience with you all to advise you all to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE check/review your food(s) after receiving your order(s)! You would think that in such crucial times which we're currently living in, restaurants/businesses would be way more attentive to the customers food and the handling of it! This was totally unacceptable and HIGHLY disturbing and DISGUSTING! My experience here was NOT at all what I expected!!!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember to check/review your food(s)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Panera is not it. The customer service sucks. The food sucks. The wait felt like forever, only to get a horrible salad.

For drinks, I had the Legally Blonde with oranges, lemon, pineapple, and ginger root. It tasted healthy and not too sweet. I personally wished I tasted more ginger in it. She had the Crush with apple, lemon, orange, peach, pineapple, and a ginger shot. Hers had the ginger and flavors mine was lacking. I went with the Captain Jack wrap with an impossible burger as the protein, vegan mozzarella, sweet potato french fries, lettuce, and bbq sauce. This wrap blew my mind. As soon as I pulled it apart the cheese just stretched across both wraps. The i.possi ke burger and sweet potato fries blended beautifully, and it had just the right amount bbq sauce to not feel over-saturated. I highly recommend it.

Once alerted that my order was ready, I pulled up and grabbed a metered spot right in front. As I entered, the shop it was empty but the staff was busy working on online orders in the open kitchen. Seating is available at a couple tables and counter top. I grabbed a seat as I waited because my order wasn't actually complete. Staff was pleasant but clearly behind on orders. Once completed I grabbed my order and headed out. I went with the #5. Breezin- strawberry, pineapple, peach, w/ orange juice base and I added banana. Overall a local spot offering healthy options on the go. Just A Note: They are on Uber Eats but they also offer online ordering and you can get 15% off your first order when ordering directly from them.

Fresh Take On Life Juice Bar (may or may not have been related to the now defunct 'Fresh Take')…read moreblended their way into this narrow Juice bar/cafe in the Morris Park area of The BX not long ago. This place might've been something else (?)- but Theresa and the rest of the folks are here now bringing a healthy fare of juices, smoothies, salads, wraps and quinoa dishes. There's really something for every eating lifestyle and you may not go wrong. As for protein, there's chicken, (canned) tuna, turkey breast and lamb- this last one was nice to see in a Juice bar/cafe. And as for pork, don't think it's offered. I'd ask first how are proteins prepped- especially the turkey breast because you could be getting the real deal or deli cut. My sisters and I actually wrapped up with lunch next door and all we wanted were fresh pressed juices to round out our day- and turned out fantastic. The space has some seating if you want to stay put or just grab your items and go. Among the hospitals and the auto body shops in the area, coming here was refreshing in more ways than one- plus service was warm and friendly. You're not getting bottled juices sitting in the fridge for days on end- these are fresh-pressed on the spot- which I appreciate.

She took our orders - there were two other employees who were making our juices. Fresh Take on Life has a good amount of seating. They have a wide selection of juice and smoothie options; however, you can also choose your vegetables and fruits. They had a hot food section and were serving different types of quinoa, chicken breast, and steamed vegetables (everything looked delicious.) Overall, do stop by at Fresh Take on Life. Excellent customer service and the juices were delicious and refreshing.
