First off, this Panera Bread is NOT in Bowie, Maryland. The panera bread website lists an incorrect city and zip code. This location is Lanham, Maryland 20706. ~~@~~ I've been to several Paneras, in several states. They all are good and very consistent. The coffee is always good, and not overpriced. I enjoy the soups and my favorite sandwich is the Chicken Caesar sandwich on multi-grain bread. The in house potato chips are very good and not greasy. This location on MLK Hwy/MD-704 used to have slow service especially in the mornings even when it wasn't crowded. But that issue was corrected a few months ago and now it operates with quick service all the time, which is especially important at lunch time because all Paneras get wicked crowded for lunch. Despite the daunting lunchtime line, the chain has its act together because they get you through lightening fast. This site is always clean. A lot of meetings seem to take place here. More adult and business clientele than teens or students. And it's true you'll often see a police 'convention'. read more

I wish to give this rating a -100/10. I ordered for my entire family for dinner. When I got home I found bugs in everyones food. LIVE bugs. FLYING AROUND IN OUR SALADS. I will never accept this, but during these times (Pandemic) I am baffled. They are preaching about protecting our food, and practicing all these great measures to prevent people from contracting the virus. But if FLYS can get trapped into my salad they are NOT doing a very good job. I would not eat here. Not now, not after the Pandemic. Maybe, another location practices better food safety. But this store DOES NOT. Please protect yourself, and your families and stay AWAY from this STORE. read more

Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Bowie, Maryland

Quick review: The manager is great! I was just in Panera ordering lunch, after I placed my order I decided I wanted something different. The manager had no issue changing my order and I didn't have to wait long! Which is extremely impressive because this happened during the lunch rush. Great service and keep up the good work! read more

Let me go back 3 weeks or so ago. I ordered a sandwich and not only did I get the wrong one, I got one that had almonds in it. The problem was not that the sandwich was wrong, the problem was that, I'm allergic to almonds. The could have been catastrophic for me. Luckily my co-worker switched with me. Fast forward today. I ordered a Rapid Pick-up, half soup, half salad, I drive to 15 minutes to get there and expected the order to be waiting for me like it always is. Not today. Today as I waited for them to make my order, I waited 15 more minutes and finally one of the cashiers asked me if I need assistance. I advised her that I had ordered, showed her my order on my phone and she could not find it. well 15 to 20 minutes later I'm still waiting for my order and finally when I asked to speak to a manager, she says "Oh, here it goes" In total, I should not have had to wait almost an hour after I ordered my meal to receive it. They're slipping at this location, and before you ask, no, it was not busy. read more

Unfortunately, I have to give this location specifically 1 star based on their service alone. This has to be the slowest Panera Bread I've ever come across. Place an online order and it says it's supposed to be ready 5 minutes later. Arrive 25 minutes later because I know better than to believe that at this establishment and it's still not ready. How is that okay? Last weekend they were out of bagels at 8:30 AM. I am not sure how this location is still in business. Some time last year they were out of cream cheese for months. Out of cream at cheese and they specialize in serving bagels. How??? I filed a complain with Panera corporate because this is just unacceptable. read more

Came here to get a hot beverage in my travel mug and was told they don't allow "outside" cups in their kitchen, so they'd have to give me my drink in a paper cup for me to pour into my travel mug. This defeats the purpose of using a travel mug! Started out wanting a chai if I could get it vegan, but the cashier, who also seemed to be the manager, didn't know if the mix was nondairy and did not offer to check the back of the pump, which was already out on the counter. Don't come here if you are vegan or care about the future of our planet. read more

The food at this Panera is on par with other locations but the bakery seems to me to be lacking a little. I see a clear distinction between the bakery items at the Bowie Town Center location and this one. Not sure why. read more

Most Panera's are all the same. This one is a little lower on my scale just because when we entered it was somewhat of a mess. The tables were not clean and the kitchen area looked like a hurricane had been through there....one of the downsides of having an open kitchen. The one good thing about the location is that despite going at 8pm, they still had a significant number of bakery items including the pumpkin muffies that everyone treasures and multiple cookies and bagels. The staff was also friendly and very quick to get the food. read more

Historically I haven't been the biggest fan of Panera. I've been to various locations over the years though because for some reason many of my friends find it very appealing. Until recently, my favorite item on the menu has been the soft serve/frozen lemonade that's only available during the summer. In the past I've tried many of their salads and sandwiches but haven't been blown away. But to be fair, I'm not the biggest sandwich lover. At any rate, I stopped in this location and ordered the classic salad with the brocoli cheese soup. It was fantastic. Broccoli cheese soup is one of my favorites too so I know a good bowl of it when I taste it. The salad was fresh and the balsamic vignette dressing was just right. Not to sweet nor too tangy. The location was clean and quiet. I found a table with no problems and stayed for nearly an hour. I used my computer but had my own wifi device so I can't speak for Panera's free wifi. read more

They dont know how to get orders right the first time. And if they remake it, your food will be cold. Dont waste your time here.

I love Panara Bread just not this location. This is by far the worst location. I did a rapid pick-up order this past Wednesday and it wasn't ready. On top of that I had to wait in line behind 7 other people. This totally defeated the purpose of the online platform. Then I called the manager the next day and he told me to call today so that he could make it right. Called today and I was left on hold for more than fifteen minutes. No one picked up the phone and reassured me that I wasn't forgotten about just dead silence. This is a sign that they don't care about there customers. This is a franchise so I wouldn't go to any of the establishments that this franchisee owns. read more

I don't generally leave bad reviews because I know all places have an off day but this is by far the worst consistent experience at a Panera I've ever had. At least once a week I come here on break to pick up food for my coworkers. Everyday I put the time for at least 30 minutes earlier than when I know I will arrive because I know they take a while for rapid pick ups. Each and every time it's at least an extra 15 minute wait. This doesn't sound like much, but on a rush to get back to work on break it's so stressful. No one is helpful and almost everyone I've encountered is rude and over their job. I used to work at Panera for a while and hate to leave a review like this, but if you're in a time crunch, don't come here. read more

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I usually order everything online though their app. every single time they miss something. I'm always forced to come back in and wait even though I place an order for rapid pick up. the worse! read more

Always on time and always right. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. Only downfall is they always seem to run out of cream cheese. Not sure if it's a national problem or just the one by my house. But Panera is always a go to clean eating spot. read more

Ordered online a few times, and items still missing or ingredients added on my sandwich that I do not eat. They also need to get the fruit flies/knots u Dee control. They're either flying over the baked foods or the area where smoothies are made. read more

Clean on the outside, nothing special to say about the inside. There's a store full of people working and not one bagel available at noon and 1/4 of their pastry window was all that was filled. The sandwich I ordered was just thrown in a wrapper, it was so messy I had to reconstruct it myself. and They gave me a wet bag so some of my food fell out. Atlanta bread was so much better. read more

This is one my favorite Panera locations. I can grab my food and jump right on the beltway or 50 and be on my way. I always get the same thing everytime, greek salad with chicken and bread. The service is always quick though it can get crowded but I've never had a bad experience. Love Panera! read more

Great customer service and the staff is always very friendly and polite. Very clean and no flies buzzing around the pastries! I literally always get the Green Goddess Salad and a Cheese Brittany...omg...gives me my entire life! AND they dont skimp on the dressing or look at you sideways when you ask for extra! Very important to me lol read more

I have never had good customer service at this location. That's not an exaggeration. I have gone to this Panera four or five times, and each time there has been a problem. If I order curbside pickup, I have to wait forever, call about the order, and then deal with an employee with an attitude. If no one ever brings out the food or answers the phone, I have to go inside to pick it up. Every time I have walked inside the restaurant, I've been ignored by the employees. I have to flag someone down to address the issue. Today was the last straw. I placed a mobile order, as I always do, and it was for Rapid Pickup. That "rapid" part was a joke. I got to the restaurant, and there were no orders on the Rapid Pickup shelves. I stood by the counter for a few minutes as multiple employees walked past me without saying anything. (Typical.) I finally stopped someone and told them I was there to pick up my order, but my order wasn't where it was supposed to be. She told me she couldn't help me because she was taking orders. I needed to wait by the register. OK, so I walked to the register and waited. Again, multiple employees walked past me without saying anything. A tallish skinny girl with really long braids stood within less than a foot from me and never said a word. I finally walked over to the line where orders were being assembled and called out to another employee to address my missing order. She told me that the order, or at least the ticket for it, was there. They had run out of one of the ingredients (a bagel), so they hadn't actually made my sandwich. (And common sense didn't kick in for anyone to call me? When that has happened at other restaurants they would call about the order. That includes other Paneras.) And now I'm fuming. She asks if I want the sandwich or a refund. Refund, please! AND THIS ISN'T EVEN THE END OF IT. She refunds the money. But after I left, I realized that she didn't refund the full amount. So, I called Panera customer service, and after another long wait, the rep tells me that it looks like they had charged me for extra meat for the sandwich but hadn't refunded it. (And that also means the sandwich would have been missing an ingredient if they had bothered to make it.) This restaurant is a franchise, the rep said, and the franchise customer service is not open on the weekend. So, I have to wait one or two business days for someone to call me back to refund the full amount of an order that I never received, that was never even prepared. Absolutely ridiculous. If I wasn't pissed, I would marvel at the epic ineptitude that this was from start to finish. read more

Great spot to pass through and get my favorite... The oatmeal raisin cookies! I think the folks there think I'm a cookie crackhead since that pretty much what I get. I love the soups too. Normally I do it in conjure it's a sandwich. Great location! read more

I love Panera but not this location. The staff are just horrible. Rude, don't give a damn about their jobs, disrespectful and the past two times I went they messed up the order. Use the Bowie town center location, they can 1. manage to get an online order correct 2. Get the order to the right spot for pickup 3. Not act like rude children if you have a complaint about the order. The Lanham location is a hot mess. Avoid at all costs. read more

I've visited this location many times for lunch because my work is nearby. So far, I haven't had a bad experience here. This specific location seems to be always busy. The staff is generally friendly and the lines move at a decent rate. The food tastes good. The only think I wish is the prices were a little less. read more

I was disappointed today. I've had Panera in the past, especially at work. They were very faithful with delivery of fresh food. Today I ordered the steak and white cheese sandwich. It was. Imthe steak was not fresh. It seemed like it had been sitting for awhile. It wasn't juicy and moist like it had been in the past. The steak was very dry. read more

This location is the best Panera in the area, hands down. I come here to work several times a week and I always have a good experience. The food is well-prepared and the staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. Example: I only drink dark roast and they were out, but an employee just hunted down the last pack, found me and told me she would make a pot. Awesome! The general manager leads a great team. Thank you for being an example of how retail is done right! read more

The Broccoli Cheddar soup was horrible. The worst I've ever had in all my years of going to Panera in various locations. Watery and thin and basically not soup just broth. The flavor was there, but it was not cheesy and not thick what so ever, hardly can call it soup. There is major inconsistency and a lack of efficiency at this location which is really a bummer. Especially, during the evening hours. When I think of a Bowie, I think of top tier and they are not doing what needs to be done to fit the bill. The staff overall seem young and inexperienced and need better training or managers that make sure they are meeting high expectations. The cashiers are usually pleasant and get the order correct, but overall there is a lack of urgency to tend to customers. There is too much talking for my liking when my food is being made and hard to tell if the staff are paying attention. Do what you're supposed to do. That's all a person can ask for. read more

Bad customer service. What bothers me the most is the fact my food is never ready on time! It always gives you the pick up time and I still have to wait an additional 10 minutes! I never understand why, once they never have a line! I always rather pick up my food from the Panera Bread in Connecticut ave on my way to work. They have awesome customer service and my food is always ready! Very friendly people! read more

Fresh salads and sandwiches for people on the go! Also love the Lemonade and the Green Tea.

The good news is that the food is always good and the staff friendly, if not always the most on top of things. The bad news is that I don't know if they've crippled their Wi-Fi or what's going on, but I was there today to do some online course work and have a snack and the connection was so poor I had to give up and leave. It wouldn't even connect to my school's website and even a basic Google search took three tries and almost two minutes to return results. And I specifically went during off-peak, around 3:00 pm. There were only four other people with tablets or laptops; I asked one about her connection and she told me that she wasn't online, so load should not have been a problem. I've been to this Panera before and it has always had the slowest Wi-Fi of any I've been to but, today at least, it was totally worthless. read more

decent, good and fresh but a bit pricey for just a deli...not special, just fast.

I love coming here for breakfast and that's about it. I'm not a big fan of Panera's other options, but the experience I have at breakfast is definitely worth 4 stars. I get 2 Cinnamon Crunch bagels toasted with butter and a small organize juice. The total meal cost less than $6 which is pretty cheap for a breakfast spot. The Cinnamon crunch bagel is just oh so good! This is perfect breakfast spot that I frequent often on my way to work. I love it! read more

This was my friends first time eating at a Panera Bread. He told the cashier that I am deploying in a week and she said that she would pray for me. I thought it was so thoughtful of her to say that. It does get very crowded at lunchtime. If you sit near the window side on the same side as the counter, you can be subject to a burned smell and smoke which is unpleasant and they say they can't do anything about it. I think the Bowie Town Center location is nicer and worth a little extra drive to get to. Otherwise, it is a typical Panera. read more
