I always use this panera bread and many times I have issues with my order. Because i utilize this location frequently, I reframe from writing reviews. The staff has decent customer service but make sure you clarify your order before leaving. One week, I only received 1 out of 5 orders correct for the week. From rotten avocado to missing quinoa (from my quinoa salad), they had a really bad week. It appeared the only good day was due to a visiting manager. Never the less all wasn't loss. I called the branch after my salad issue. Jenn (manager) totally changed my mood for the better. She apologized with so much sincerity and comped my order for all the issues occurring the same week. She really saved the review and I appreciate your assistance. Currently my sandwiches are right a d I'm back to being satisfied. 5/24/18 at 7:45 am (after returning to the store) Well I'm pissed because this morning I ordered a avocado egg white sandwich and they added turkey breast. I requested roasted red peppers. The manager this morning handled the situation wasn't very empathetic and brushed me off. She did re order my sandwich and promptly proceeded to take some else's ordered. She didn't apologize. Instead it was my fault because I requested roasted peppers and there staff confused it with roast turkey. The recite clearly says "peppers". She didn't even care enough to wish me a good day. I never felt so disrespected in Panera bread. Always check your orders and afternoon mangers have better customer service by far. I'm not upset about the mistake as much as I'm disappointed manner the manager handled it. read more

Why have I never rated my local Panera as much as I've been here. Keeping it short and simple - of all the locations in the Bowie vicinity this one is by far my favorite. They never skimp on the servings and they handle the busy lunch crowd with ease. The food and service is consistently good and I get my fix a minimum of once a week. Faves: Fuji Apple chicken salad Roasted turkey, Apple & cheddar sandwich Chocolate chip cookies read more

Let me simply say that the young lady with the blonde and black dreads that brought out my curbside order was extremely professional, an awesome ambassador for the Panera brand and an overall pretty cool person. The food was scrumptious and the service was well beyond 5 stars... Thanks Panera. read more

We decided to stop here for lunch. It is in the corner of a shopping center so there is plenty of parking although it may not be in front or close to the store. It was pretty busy when we got there at lunchtime. You order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. The restaurant was a little dirty but it might be because of the volume of traffic that they seemed to have. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly and was good. Prices were reasonable. read more

Love Panera. Consistently good food fast. My go to is the frontega chicken sandwich and chicken and wild rice soup. Can't go wrong with these options. And I love the curbside pickup option. So convenient!!! read more

I usually order from this location and today is worse order ever. My pizza was wrong, my baguette was kind of frozen idk what happened with them today but they are making the wrong food. I see they have a lot of prep personal in the kitchen but not checking the food that being serve. read more

This Panera is super convenient for me, as I can stop here on the way to church or on the way home. It's also very easy to get in and out of the parking lot, so I can just shoot over here to grab a quick salad during lunch on a hectic day. So, the folks that work here are always super friendly. I mean, they see me almost every Sunday for my coffee (or caramel latte, extra caramel) and chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese, OR spinach and bacon soufflé - which is to die for!!! The staff is pretty good at moving you through a long line and to your ultimate goal...yummy for your tummy - pretty much everything I've tried on the menu. Oh! Let's not forget the green passion smoothie that I LOVE so much! And they do it all with a smile :) read more

The home style chicken noodle soup was awesome! And I have a great idea for you while you're sitting here enjoying your soup you can go over to amazon.com and I have a book there called my illegally blind Journey and it is under $5! The famous chef Thomas at this time cannot recommend this Panera Bread. The bread bowl soup should be called bread cup because the content is so small. The side sandwich with cheese and tomato does not have enough cheese to cover the bread. $5 for two slices of bread and cheese, come on. Took it back to remake Panera adds more cheese and now only three little tomatoes. This place is low quality. The current management should find a new career. When called the female manager laughed at the famous chef Thomas. She doesn't know the power of the famous chef Thomas. The men's bathroom is designed that if someone opens the door people can see you doing your business. Bad design. Lousy services. Ignorant manager. Empty shelves in the bakery in the early afternoon. The famous chef Thomas would give a 0 rating if it were possible. read more

Panera Bread - The famous chef Thomas is tired of all these nats flying around Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Bowie, Maryland

This Panera Bread is pretty nice. It's nestled on the corner (not noticeable from street view) the same shopping center as the Shoppers. I find it to be a very nice study location. I love the online ordering option you just pick up your bag on the counter to the left when you enter the store. This place is pretty ok to me. FYI- Sometimes they can move really slow if you order in the store. read more

I can't give a 5 star because they have messed up my rapid pick up but I will say they took care of me after I called and replaced my order. Chris and another female manger took care of me. I recommend the rapid pickup just double check your good typically morning, lunch and dinner the lines are pretty long. I will order a week in advanced for breakfast and weekends has become almost a daily stop for healthy eating. read more

Tonight is a cold and blustery night in the DMV so what would hit the spot right now but some soup so I stopped into Panera Bread for some Sonoma chicken stew & a salad (my favorite) I walked into Panera only to be greeted by Kayla with a scowl on her face & when I greeted her she gave me a half of smirk and a mumble of a greeting. When asked about new menu items, the Mediterranean salmon salad or the salmon sandwich I was told I haven't had it & I only stick to what I like...in what restaurant universe do they not do tastings? I know for a fact that Panera does tastings because I have been in the restaurant when it was done. If this is the way Panera's service is going, I will not be back at this location. read more

I ordered from here a couple nights ago through Uber Eats and my experience was horrible. First I was missing item. 2 whole pizzas was missing. I only ordered 6 items. 2 sandwiches, 2 chips , and 2 pizza that's it and all I got was those nasty, dry sandwiches. This was my first experience with then and I don't think I would try it again read more

I am disappointed at the way the treated us for an order of 12 lunches. They missed two lunches, made my coworker wait after we did a rapid pick up, we're absolutely arrogant when we called them to inform them about the missed order and more so did not give us a receipt when we reached to pick up the order. I am human too and understand that there can be errors however we would have appreciated a polite apology as opposed to stating, "we cannot do much, we receive 1000s of orders and such errors are common human errors". Extremely disappointed that a going away lunch turned out to include two missed orders. read more

I like this place and come here often. The food is good and I've never had any sorta problem. Would most definitely recommend :)

I ordered Panera Bread for the first time, ever. I ended up getting the BBQ salad. I ate most of it before I came across a small SCREW ... YES! A SCREW! I was disgusted! I emailed corporate and called the location. I am still waiting to hear from corporate but when I called the location, the manager said I could come back to get a replacement. I told her she needs to look into this and she said she would look in the area. She sounded really young on the phone so I honestly don't know how seriously she will take this situation. This makes me not want to eat at this location ever again read more

Can't go wrong with Panera. They have options kids and adults will enjoy! I usually do the pick two. Sandwich and soup combo or sandwich and salad combo. Their broccoli cheddar soup and the corn chowder are both good. The Thai Chicken and the Green Goddess are both good salads. I've only had the Tuna salad sandwich and the Frontega sandwich. Both are always good. But I'm sure all their sandwiches are popular. The kids like their Mac and Cheese and it comes with yogurt sticks. Kind of like Go-gurts. They also make good lattes and their smoothies are good. I like the green smoothie and the mango one. The bakery has fresh bread and pastries. The Orange scones are my favorite. And they have this breakfast option called a soufflé. I usually do the four cheese or the artichoke one. Really good! read more

I continue to give this place a 3 star rating based mostly on the distracted staff. Management tries hard and they're the friendly and competent ones but the people at the cash register are distracted and seem more interested in each other than the customer right in front of them. One example: I wanted a cookie with the meal I ordered and it wasn't right up front at the cash register. The guy taking my order said he would get it for me from the bakery section (big plus) but then when he was done taking my money he started to make himself a cup of coffee. He had completely forgotten about the cookie ! (a big minus) I know I should be kinder since i know these folks don't make much money and turnover is high but it is a customer service environment and it could be better. read more

Purchased these today. It has been about 3-5mths since I've been to Panera bread of Bowie and I must say I have NEVER before had a soufflé this white. This pic is after being in my oven for 10mins at 350°. I reached home and saw this and I didn't feel like going back to the store, I figured I'd just continue to bake them myself. Very disappointed Panera bread in Bowie; very disappointed. The food is too expensive for the quality to be so poor. read more

My friends and I came here after a hard day at work. We were tired, famished, and full of lactic acid. I ordered a salad with bread but was served a sandwich and chips. I did ask for my order to be changed, but I still received the sandwich and chips. I asked for a cup for water--usually free at most Paneras--but was charged for a soft drink. My friend ordered a bread bowl but was instead served two sides of baguette instead--not the same as a sourdough bread bowl. I don't blame the workers at this particular Panera, but this is the worst Panera experience I've had in a long time. I spent almost every afternoon for the past three years sitting at Panera (albeit a different location), and until today, I've always had a great experience. I will not be returning to this location because of the poor experience I had here. I'm hopeful for the future of this location and hope that others don't have a similar experience. read more

I've always have had a good service at Panara but today apparently the girl with red dreads & the girl with her someone pissed in their corn flakes this morning... I have stopped patronizing this location. While I am still a big fan of Panera, this location consistently misses the mark. I wrote a bad review back in 2018, I stop going to them because of bad service. My job is now back on this side of town and I've been there 2x and the service is even worse!!!! The tea's aren't in their correct jar, my name was on someone's elses order along with their name. When I bought it to their attention, it wasn't a big deal. Because of this store I will not be keeping my sip club membership, as this store will be the store closet to me now. I refuse to go back in there after today. read more

Curbside is terrible slow right now, almost 20-40mins I never let it get to 40 some times I have to get out of the car and if I'm dressed for curbside it's a hassle. The management is the blame because there is no reason why the workload cannot be divided read more

For the last two days we have ordered twice from Panera's on MLK and each time the orders were messed up. The Baja Chicken bowl and Brocolli Chicken bowls were both bowls were half full of ingredients. Paying the amount of money for these bowls, one should at least get one's money worth. That was the first day and one the second day, did not receive what was ordered; instead of tuna, we got the chicken salad. This is very disappointing to order food and get home to be disappointed the orders were not correct. It is sad that there isn't a quality control person to make sure the orders are correct before they are picked up. This looks bad on management. Well, this is my last time ordering from this one and making sure I check before leaving my orders are correct from the next one. The food is good but the ordering service sucks! read more

I would have given this a 3.5 if I were able based on my frequent visits. However, my cashier Chantelle, was a pleasant surprise because the cashiers typically have no personality. She was patient and helped me look through a binder to determine the sodium content and sugar content of various menu items. Whoa! I was surprised at how unhealthy some of the items I typically order really are! Stick to the 1/2 salads and apple as your side item! read more

Food is decent. However it is always EXTREMELY cold inside! Not to mention most of the time you have to grab a staff member to clean the tables and surrounding trash. On more than one occasion my utensils still had food on it and the pastries are often hard and old but they "claim" they were made fresh. You can also hear the staffs inappropriate conversations and management doesn't seem to care. If it weren't for the convenient parking and decent food i would never spend money or my time here. read more

Today was my last visit to Panera. The staff is rude and lazy. This is the 3rd time I've been there in the last month. My steak sandwich was dry. My husband's BBQ sandwich was dry and their curbside is AWFUL. All three visits, I've had to get out after waiting in Curbside for more than 12 minutes (noting that my food was ready) and get my food....only to find at least 10 bags just sitting for Curbside customers while 5-6 cars pile up out front. I just deleted my app. Do yourselves a favor, management and read these last few reviews! This place is TERRIBLE! read more

Best tasting pastries and cookies. At this location, they make them fresh all day and so they are very soft. I had no idea Panera baked goods were supposed to be this soft and delicious, because they're usually so much harder everywhere else. I'm taking away a star because I ordered a tea but there was no available hot water. I had no time to wait for them to refill it, so I just grabbed a decaf coffee. read more

I love Panera Bread. I have pretty good timing with this particular outlet. I seem to arrive immediately prior to the huge swath of people who want food. I was the only person in line when I arrived. :-) I usually get the turkey artichoke and the chicken noodle soup as my "you pick two" but this time, I decided to try something different. The macaroni and cheese. The cashier was super nice enough to let me get a small chicken noodle soup and a small macaroni and cheese as my "you pick two" and I got a potato chips to spare. Of course I sat down and tried to do a little work on the ol' computer with the free Panera wi-fi. As I sat there, the line grew and grew until it was almost out the door. Good job Panera! Sling those soups and sandwiches. As long as I am already sitting down with my food, the line can get as long as it wants to. When it was all said and done, I left a full, fat, happy, satisfied customer. I'm a fan of Panera Bread. read more

I love Panera's. This location is right down the road from my job and you can usually find me here at least 2 days out of every week. In the fall, they had an Autumn Squash soup that's was divine, like a liquid lollipop. I came here everyday for that soup until they stopped carrying it because the season was over. My favorites are the hot Panini's, French onion soup and the green tea. I like that they have a "Panera VIP" card where I accumulate points & then receive coupons for $$ off a pick 2 or $1 off a pastries. Lunch time (between 12-2pm) is their busiest period, expect to wait at least 10-15 from standing in line to actually receiving your food. But when you do, the food is good. I haven't eaten anything from here that I haven't liked yet. Great customer service & food every time. read more
