The chips (fries) were also nicely seasoned. While in store I stopped by the sauce bar and tried the new Saka sauce (a limited-edition sauce that was both sweet and mildly hot). This is my first time going to Nando's and it was so worth it. The food was very good, we got the valentines bundle that was a good deal and brought a lot. We decided to try a few of the sauces from the sauce bar (there were 6-8 kinds to choose from) the garlic and the herb. The herb sauce was perfect on top of the medium wings and jazzed them up a bit (Gave them a little kick). The wrap came with two sides since we were sharing we went for fries and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were perfect and the fries were hot and fresh but the seasoning was bland. I liked the wrap but I felt like we needed more chicken and definitely more dressing. The staff at this location was supper friendly they checked on us multiple times, asked us if we needed anything and offered desserts. Unexpected Flavor and Hospitality Just Outside D.C. On a business trip outside of D.C., I asked the hotel staff for something a little different--and they pointed me to Nando's Peri-Peri. I'd never been, but once I stepped inside and read the walls, I realized this wasn't just your typical grilled chicken joint. With roots in Portuguese and South African flavors, the place already had me intrigued. I went with something called the Rainbow Bowl--a vibrant combo of avocado, tomato, cucumbers, onion salad, pickled cauliflower, hummus, super seeds crunch, and feta, all layered over warm Portuguese rice and finished with a lemon herb drizzle. I added a grilled chicken breast to it, and the food came out fast. And wow--super flavorful. Not just heat for the sake of it, but real, layered spice. It is a chicken thigh sandwich which compared to chicken breast is naturally more flavorful. It is a very fresh chicken sandwich which comes with fries however I wasn't too thrilled about the fries. So I ordered a salad this go around and should've just stuck to what I'm use to! The Crispy Chicken Ranch salad... The lettuce wasn't fresh at all! and the cucumbers were wilted and mushy...I couldn't get pass the brown lettuce. I did call the restaurant and the manager on duty asked me to take a picture of the meal and send it to her so she can give me a free/replacement meal my next visit which I appreciated. For the longest I didn't understand the hype about Nandos. 6 years later I decided to try Nandos again and I freakin loved it . I don't know if it's the fact that I haven't had it in so long or the fact that Nandos stepped up there game up. (Lol) You have options to dine in , carry out or order online and pick up. Let's be different! Everything here has been well reviewed but their salads. They have two types of salads, PERi Ranch Crunch Salad and Spicy PERi Chicken Kale Caesar Salad. They come with grilled chicken. You have a choice of breast or thigh meat. The chicken is coated with a choice of sauce: lemon & herb, mango & lime, medium, hot, or extra hot. You can have it without added sauce. You can get them without chicken also. So, my wife and I tried both entree salads. 1) PERi Ranch Crunch Salad It had chicken, tomato cucumber & onion salad, feta, crispy chickpeas, and PERi pita croutons served over mixed greens dressed in PERi ranch. We got thigh meat coated with medium sauce. There was 2 whole pieces of boneless thigh. They weren't sliced. That was odd and inconvenient to eat. It was moist and tender with a good grilled and marinade flavor of PERi PERi chilli (sic), onions, garlic, and lemon. PERi PERi (aka piri-piri or African Bird's Eye chile) is a hot pepper that is used as a spice and in pharmaceuticals. With the medium sauce, the chicken was mildly spicy. The vegetables were fresh. The feta was rich, creamy, and slightly tangy. The fried chickpeas were crunchy with a very light chickpea flavor. The pita croutons were crunchy and denser than regular croutons with a hint of pepperiness. The dressing tasted like ranch with chiles added. Overall, it was moderately spicy hot, flavorful, and filling but not heavy. 2) Spicy PERi Chicken Kale Caesar It had chicken, pickled red onion, crispy chickpeas, PERi pita croutons, and shaved parmesan served over mixed greens and kale dressed in PERi Caesar dressing. We got thigh meat with mango & lime sauce. The chicken was the same as above except it wasn't spicy hot. It had a mild mango and lime flavor. The pickled onions had a strong onion flavor, a slight tanginess, and mild chile flavor. There wasn't much parmesan cheese, but what was there was good in a typical way. The mixed greens were fresh and the kale was slightly bitter. The dressing tasted like Caesar with chiles added. It was mildly hot. Overall, this had outstanding flavor for a Caesar Salad. I'm not a fan of Caesar Salad, but this is an exception because it wasn't boring to my taste buds. The service was polite, attentive, and helpful. Our food was ready in 10 minutes which was quick because 3 people had ordered ahead of us. We ordered carryout which may have made a difference since we didn't have to wait for our food to be served. The dining room and restrooms were very clean. They have a hand sink for customers at the back of the dining room. The decor included contemporary South African artwork. The ambiance, service, and food were excellent, so I gladly recommend this restaurant. I'm a frequent customer of multiple locations across the Dmv area of Nando's. I usually purchase the large fry and perinaise with anything that i decide to buy. Every location usually accommodates Me when I ask for a second perinaise with my large fries because one cup is too small for that much fries. Today (July 1st at 7:30 pm) I was told that I would have to be charged an extra dollar and six cents for one more cup and it follows a similar trend of other businesses in the region that charge for things that other locations in different areas won't charge for .as a black man I feel like because this is a majority black area these businesses feel like no one will say anything and they can take advantage of us but won't do the same in other wealthier areas they choose to operate business in. read more

Sounds really simple but it gave me a very polite and professional vibe. Stopped by after a relaxing yoga session on Friday night and ordered the 3 chicken thigh meal. When my food arrived, I noticed that the three chicken thighs were the size of chicken nuggets. When I brought it to the attention of the manager, she offered to give me additional nugget sized thighs and was upset that I questioned the size of the chicken. She went on to say that she was doing me a favor by offering additional nugget size thighs, I politely reminded her that she was not doing me a favor, but I was paying for chicken thighs, not nuggets. I went to this location a couple of years ago and had an awful experience from service to food. I decided to give them another try today and I am so happy I did. The service was wonderful from start to finish. Although it was pretty busy, the woman on the register was so accommodating and attentive. The food was also really good. I had the Peri-Q chicken, mac and cheese and corn on the cob. It also came with a coleslaw that was not that good, but the other food was so good, they still deserve five stars. For my 500th review, I had to write about the latest and greatest addition to the Woodmore Towne Centre. Located in Gorgeous Prince George's, Nando's Peri-Peri has such a cool and fun vibe. The customer service here is PHENOMENAL! Finally, a place of business that has younger employees, but are professionally trained! As soon as I came in, I was greeted with a smile, excitement, politeness, and professionalism. Nando's is known for their flame grilled chicken marinated in Peri Peri - an African Bird's Eye chili. The chicken marinates for 24 hours prior to serving to customers. This particular location is the first Nando's to open in North America in quite a bit of time. So glad they chose Glenarden to be their home. Other than chicken on the menu, they offer various wraps, sandwiches, plenty of sides and sangria. In the past I tried the sangria and it was pretty solid. Since we're still in the pandemic of 2020, the dinning portion of the restaurant is closed, but you can order inside or online NDA carry-out. A greeter is stationed at the front collecting contact information from all patrons. I then moved to the register, with the equally friendly cashier and she asked if I had any questions with my order. I ordered the mango/lime 12 peri-peri wings, the red mashed potatoes and the garlic bread. I've had Nando's a couple times prior to this visit, but I swear this was the BEST I've had. Everything I ordered is a must! The potatoes...delish, the chicken...tasty and that garlic bread is to die for! Since they have different heat levels, make sure you pay attention to the sauces before ordering. After I placed my order, I sat and waited. While waiting, the manager came over to speak to me and directed me to the additional sauces to put on my wings to take home. After I received my piping hot order within 5-7 minutes, the manager and co-manager made sure to thank me, and to tell me to have a nice day and to come again. This is the newest location in good ol Woodmore Towne Center. I have been there twice, and each time, I have been greeted at the door, and have had great experience with the workers and managers there. At my first visit, I got the jumbo platter, that comes with two whole chickens and two extra large sides. The second time, I got a full platter which comes with one whole chicken and two large sides, and the peri-peri bowl. Here's what I learned; this location in a bit smaller than the others, so they may not have the same sides as other locations. It is best to check the menu for this specific location, so you won't be disappointed. I believe brussels sprouts incur an up charge as a side. That was a hard hit to my life, cause those little cabbies are thee bomb dot com. Anywho, now to the food. Because I was trying to accommodate a group of folk with different taste buds, it was suggested to me to get a regular chicken with the sauces on the side. This worked, as everyone was able to do what they do. I love the xtra hot sauce; although, the rest of my family hit the low meter for spice. Our first set of sides were salad, potatoes, brussels sprouts and olives. The sides were dope, I am in love with the mashed potatoes, and the brussels sprouts. The salad is crazy fresh, and the olives are on point, those are definitely good for snacking. The peri-peri bowl, has a nice mixture of fresh arugula, roasted red peppers and hummus with rice. About a month ago Yelp and Nando's invited the end squad members to pick up a meal and goodie bag from this location in celebration of the holidays. My Wife and I are in the squad so we went to get out for. Hot it home and thoroughly enjoyed it. She posted her review that night but I wanted to wait. Nando's gave us a coupon to come back for by one get one free meal. I wanted to make sure the food was always on point and not just for the elite squad to give good reviews. They did not disappoint. When we came back we both enjoyed our meals just like we did the first time. Consistently is key. The good was great and the customer service was excellent. My Wife ordered the 12 wings with rice and garlic bread. She says it was perfect and she was able to save dinner fire lunch the next day. I ordered the half chicken with peri-peri chips and garlic bread. Everything was great. The manager came by to check on us and we told him great job. The location is clean and everyone is friendly and they move efficiently. We will be going back. We have lived Nando's for years now. We were card caring members back in the day. We stopped recently just because the quality wasn't as good at the location nearest to our house, which sucks because it is about 7-10 minutes away. The meal consisted of half lemon herb chicken, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, garlic bread, and this very yummy little dessert called a Naughty Natas (OMG that little thing was sooooo gooood). The chicken had good flavor, but the white meat was very dry and I am not a dark meat person. Mash potatoes were well seasoned and pretty good. Hmmm the Brussel sprouts, not for me.
