I've tried so hard to love this Panera location because I have Sip Club for coffee refills but this location is actually the worst. They consistently get our order wrong. Sliced avocado on my sandwich is brown, croissants are burnt, they put yellow eggs on my sandwich when I ordered egg whites. Have they not considered that some people need specific food due to dietary restrictions? The floor is insanely sticky because they probably never mop. I thought the monthly Sip Club membership would be worth it to pay a flat fee on coffees/sodas but I am tired of the poor order quality, inaccurate orders, and rude teenagers working. The girl behind the food area is always in a bad mood and snappy at coworkers or customers. After 6 months of Sip Club...I don't want to deal with this place anymore. Love love this option of a sandwich. It's their chibotta bread with the sausage and scrambled egg. Normally I order the scrambled egg and sausage on the Asiago bagel! ( which naturally has the sauce) I add the sauce to the other one. It's hit and miss on service. I have found some mornings during the week their drive thru is closed. Also most locations run out of coffee fast inside. Their staff I never had any issues they are all friendly and helpful when in need. This location stays steady busy. It's an ideal spot if you're meeting for business or studying for school. I also recommend trying out their unlimited sip club. You can have their regular iced or hot coffee. This is the closet breadco to my home so I come here often. I feel the service and cleanliness is slightly below the other locations in St. Louis. Also, as strange as it sounds, today while at the drive-thru lane during a busy lunch time (1:15PM), their sanitation service comes in to dump the large waste container which is near the drive-thru lane. I would have left the line for safety and to avoid the harsh stench of the truck, which had me boxed, but I was trapped in the line with cars in front and back and the large sanitation truck to my right. Stopped by this St. Louis Bread location because it was on my way back to work after a stop at the nearby Target. Of course I went through the drive-thru (pandemic and all) and happened to notice the new flatbread pizzas on the menu. I ordered the Margherita Flatbread Pizza and added soup to it. I watched the guy bring the pizza out of the oven with a peel and put it in the box. I have to say it was the most flavorless and disappointing pizzas I have ever eaten. I can't believe they stay employed for any length of time, maybe they do not. I go there because I like their menu. If you get food to go, best to check your bag thoroughly, can't tell you how many times I have been burned by wrong or missing orders. This place needs to a big change immediately!! I used to be a big fan of Panera, but haven't eaten at one in over a year. From this specific store I got bad food poisoning from their Goddess Caprese. And later when I ordered their new lemonade because it was strawberry they failed to tell me it had the same amount of caffeine as several cups of coffee. Worst Customer Service. 8 missing items from my order. Called the store. Offered me a drink coupon for over $20 of missing food! Ordered 2 bowls of soup, did not get bread with the soup, did not get spoons for the soup. When I called they asked " did you ask for spoons tho?" Did not get the chips to go with my sandwiches. So when you go here and order soup I was told you have to ask for a spoon, ( I guess if you order a salad you will need to ask for a fork otherwise it would be the customers fault). Sandwiches do not come with the chips unless you tell them. Bread does not come with soup unless you tell them. Missing nearly half of my order and they offer me a free drink coupon?.... Also missing my bagels, cookie and cream cheese. They said mam you were not charged for a cream cheese. I'm shocked with all the bad reviews!!! I came to this location today for the first time. But I frequent other Panera locations at least twice a week. I was in Belleville at the time and decided to do an online order pick up. The pick up on the receipt said will be ready in 10 mins. It was ready a lot quicker and that was great consider the lunch rush. I didn't have any interaction with the employees here (which is fine since I had a order pick up) but there was a guy (possibly manager) standing where the food gets picked up. He was making sure all orders were correct and brought out in a timely manner. Pros: -super fast pick up! -store is very clean and organized. -food presentation is very nice, it's not slopped together. -papaya green tea taste amazing here, more flavorful vs other locations. -bakery layout is nice -THEY GOT MY ORDER RIGHT :) Cons: -extremely small location. Even though I work near the location at Belleville Crossings, I usually go out of my way to hit the Fairview Heights location because the more convenient location ALWAYS disappoints! Today was no different. Placed an on line order for my staff for curbside pick up. Followed the prompts for pick up when I arrived and after 10 minutes of waiting, went in and got it myself. My last experience there was getting no chicken in my $13 Strawberry Poppyseed salad. I tried again and you failed again. If you can't find enough decent employees, just please close this location. This place use to be good. Big drop in quality. Always out of stuff and be prepared for a long wait getting your food if you eat inside. Got a carry out salad for lunch after two I wanted they said were missing key ingredients so I had to settle on a salad called oriental sesame chicken salad. Meeting a new friend before we go to the monthly Flea Market at Bel-Claire Fair Grounds. The place was pretty busy this morning, I think it was the between church crowd. I like how Panera has a bagel and/or cream cheese of the month. I opted for the French Toast bagel with Blueberry cream cheese. I love that I can have my bagel either slice in half or like a loaf of bread. It makes me feel like I am not eating as much if I bread slice it, I know cray cray. The two that were working the front counter was busy looking at their regulars, and making their drinks even before they asked, I kinda got lost in the shuffle. Awful, awful, awful. I will NEVER return to this St. Louis Bread Co. location again. The incompetence is mind boggling. They get orders correct MAYBE 10% of the time. It's terrible. They clearly do not care about the accuracy or quality of orders whatsoever. There is always something missing or something wrong. It's unbelievable. Management used to be apologetic over such issues, but not anymore. Even they have become unprofessional and rude when I need to have my incorrect orders corrected. I've had to report issues to corporate multiple times about this location and, sadly, nothing ever changes. This is the only restaurant in my 40 years of life that I've vowed to never return to again. Worst Panera I've ever been to. A couple employees don't seem to know good restaurant practices. Visit #1: I leave table to get a straw and employee Has removed and thrown my (completely untouched) food away. All in under 30 seconds. Manager apologises & replaces it. Visit #2: Unprofessional male employee picking up trash outside, waits for me to open the door, then follows me in. I wait for my rapid pick up order and go to service counter when it says it's ready. Same employee stands there chatting with cooks & tells me mine isn't ready although he doesn't even know what I ordered. While he lingers at counter, blocking it for customers to pick up orders, he keeps touching all the food with same hands he's picked up trash with - no gloves. After touching the lid of my drink for almost a minute he asks if this is what I ordered and hands it to me dismissively. I was really disgusted by him having touched all the food. I used to love bread co but their prices have increased so much it's ridiculous. Literally $13 for a you pick two. Today I really wanted soup and had a limited amount of time for lunch and grabbed a cup of turkey chili which was pretty good but not sure the 5 bites was worth almost $6. I also picked the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich (half) for my other you pick two option. It was $6 and I had chunk of raw chicken. Wow--just--wow. This is the worst Panera I have ever been to. Almost every time I come here, my order is screwed up. The last time I came here, I ordered an avocado breakfast sandwich and coffee in the drive-thru. I get all the way home, and there is one teeny, tiny piece of avocado on my sandwich. I didn't want to drive all the way back for a few slices of avocado, so I cut my losses and ate it. Not this time. I went there this morning, and ordered a ham, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich and coffee in the drive-thru. I waited forever for it. It was so long of a wait, I almost shut off my car. The same girl I had the last time my order was screwed up gives me my sandwich with a cocky smirk and attitude, and I drive home. I got a bacon, egg, cheese on ciabatta. The ticket even said on the bag: ham, egg, cheese power sandwich. I drive all the way back, go inside, and find cocky attitude girl. I said "this isn't what I ordered" and threw the bag across the counter towards her. Cocky: "what did you order?" Me: "what it says on the ticket that's taped to the bag: a ham, egg, cheese power sandwich." Me: "I also want my free bakery item." (It says on the bottom of your ticket/receipt that accuracy matters, and if your order isn't right, they will make it right and give you a free treat for your troubles). NOTE: Accuracy does NOT matter at this Panera. A male worker sees what is going on, and I tell him. I tell him that every time Cocky is here, my order is messed up, and start to wonder if she is doing it on purpose. Cocky: "I'm not here all the time." Me: "Well, you're here now, and you were here the last time my order was messed up." Cocky: Silence. Cocky then ducks out of there and I don't see her anymore. Man: "Come over to the counter to pick out your bakery item." Cinnamon Roll: (in a hushed whisper): "Pick me, pick me. I am so warm and yummy." I pick the cinnamon roll. I go back to the counter to wait some more for my sandwich, and a lady comes up to me and asks what happened. I tell her everything, about how every time I come here something is messed up, how Cocky is always handling my order when it's always screwed up, and how my coffee is getting cold at home because of this. She is amazingly kind and friendly, apologizes for everything, says she will talk to the employees about this, and proceeds to get me another hot coffee. (I think she is the manager.) NOTE: Every fast-food place needs a manager like her. She leaves, and I proceed to wait for my ham sandwich. (I have been inside for about 5-6 minutes by now waiting for my sandwich). The first man I talked to comes back, and asks one of the employees where my ham sandwich is. (Okay, wait for it---)18 year-old young male employee: "What ham sandwich?" Man: "The one I told you to make." 18-year-old: "No, you didn't." Me: "OMG." (laced with smart-alecky laughter). Me: "Wow." (more smart-alecky laughter). Me to man: "I want to talk to that lady I was talking to earlier." Man: "I'll go get her." (Ducks out of there, don't see him again). Kind-lady manager comes back, I proceed to tell her that this whole time while talking to Cocky, talking to the man, picking out my cinnamon roll, talking to her, and getting a new coffee, that they just NOW started making my ham sandwich. (Are you ready? The best part is coming up): An elderly gentleman who has come up right behind me to Kind-lady manager: "My order is messed up." Me: (with incredulous wonder and amazement): "WOW." Me to elderly gentleman: "Don't forget your free bakery item. I recommend the cinnamon roll." Kind-lady manager then proceeds to bring me to the register and gives me a refund. I am not one to complain but when the last THREE times I ordered delivery my food was not correct I felt I needed to do something. And i could not get anyone to answer the phone there so here it is. They continue to leave something off the sandwiches I order whether it be the sauce or the toppings which make the actual sandwich what it is. And the tomato basil and cucumber side was literally a bowl of tomato's and cucumbers. No basil no dressing. Nothing. I asked for extra dressing. No extra dressing. I understand everyone makes mistakes. But this just keeps happening over and over. It's so frustrating. I have given them three chances. Two too many I suppose. Very disappointed. Panera Belleville Crossing needs to get their act together. At 7:30 this morning, I went through the drive up and ordered a smoothie and 2 bacon/egg/cheese on brioche sandwiches. I pulled up to the window and was handed the sandwiches when I paid. Then I waited and waited and waited and waited. I was then given the smoothie and waited some more. Apparently, there was no money in the drawer to make change. When I got back home (which is very close). My sandwiches were cold. There was no bacon. The brioche was burnt. This morning I was on highway 15. I was as excited as I saw St Louis Bread Company all lit up. I exited the highway. Went to the fully lit up drive through only to find out they weren't open yet. Why would you have everything lit including the menu signs, drive-up lighting, inside lights, etc if you weren't open yet. If owners/managers were smart, they would st least not light menu and drive up order boards until open. Very ticked/frustrated.
