Drive thru line

I haven't been to this particular Panera in a while because! When it first opened, the customer service was horrible... orders took FOREVER, like unbelievably LONG. I decided to give it another try... I ordered a pick two with a chicken noodle soup with a side of bread and a bacon Turkey bravo minus the cheese and tomato. I thought this sandwich used to come with avocado back in the day, but I guess I am wrong. I also ordered my husband some food... a salad and a hot sandwich. I didn't wait very long in line- surprisingly! There were about 4 or 5 cars ahead of me and with my experience, previously, I was worried...but, all was well with customer service! Now, the bacon Turkey bravo I had I was disappointed with. I could have sworn that sandwich didn't used to come on rye bread.... Whatever this bread was it was not the simple... white baguette or sandwich bread I wanted it on. I feel like they need to add confirming what type of bread you would like for your sandwiches. I couldn't eat the bread.... I did eat the bacon. Turkey, and lettuce.... A total waste of money..... the soup was okay.... My husband enjoyed his! It will be a while until I am back at Panera for lunch... not very satisfied....

Stopped by for a quick bite. I am assuming the gentleman at the register was new. It took 10 minutes just too check out. I ordered a tea and scone. I normally order the orange scone but they were out of them so I opted for the blueberry. It was just okay, pretty dry. I definitely will be going back to the orange! Dining area was clean and cozy with the fire going.

Come on... Who has better breakfast sandwiches? They're one of the few restaurants that are even open normal hours. Quit your whining.

I'm sorry we waited so long, this was an excellent lunch. There were three of us and we split an order of steamed pork dumpling, an order of steamed chicken dumplings and a smashed cucumber salad. All were very good. I probably prefer the pork, while Ms T prefers the chicken. Regardless I enjoyed them both. They are clearly fresh and house made. The meat is of good quality and nicely seasoned. The dumpling wrapper itself is not too heavy, so the whole thing works well together. We also enjoyed the cucumbers as a refreshing cold side to go with the piping hot dumplings. Dumpling servings are six and I can see Ms T and I splitting an order for lunch on occasion. With a salad, it would be plenty of food. This is a great find and very convenient for us. KT who accompanied us, is much more expert regarding soup dumplings than we are. She declared them to be the best she has had in St Louis! Good to know.

I'm not sure what this place even is, despite having dined there yesterday. It serves breakfast,…read morelunch and dinner, and doesn't seem to specialize in anything in particular. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.

Stevie was my server that night and she provided friendly top notch service. I ordered a spicy margarita for my cocktail. I was a little disappointed with the drink. It was very cucumber forward, had a nice heat, but lacked that signature lime flavor and tartness required of a good margarita. The brussel sprouts and cheese grits were a must try for me. The pork chop was the perfect entree to accompany these sides. The brussel sprouts were charred and crispy. The balsamic glaze paired nicely with the charred flavor. The pork chop is served in a very generous portion juicy and tender. The citrus sauce paired nicely with the pork. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. All in all a delightful meal. The portions were generous enough for me to have hearty meal of leftovers the next day. The menu is fairly concise with burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, beer/pork/chicken entrees, and salads. They have something for just about everyone. The appetizer menu offers loaded brussel sprouts with bacon balsamic and feta. This would have been too much to tackle by myself. I plan on bringing my friends next time to share this dish.
