I tried out Firehouse for the first time with a welcome coupon for their rewards program. Even with 10$ off, my meal was a very poor value. I ordered an Italian sandwich and a Cheesesteak to give them a try, and they were the worst cheesesteak and Italian sandwich I've had. Both were covered in mayonnaise, despite asking for no mayo, and mayo being totally gross on both sandwiches, especially the cheesesteak which was not just gross, it was inedible, and I threw it away. The sandwiches were skimpy and did not taste good. The fountain soda was by far the best part of this meal, which would have been 26$ without the coupon! I would have been angry if I paid full price for this food. The service was very good, and there was no wait, but the experience was very disappointing, and I won't return. read more

Firehouse Subs is a solid choice when you're looking for something yummy and filling. While the sandwich wasn't the best I've ever had, it definitely hit the spot. First off, I ordered a sandwich with white bread and was served wheat! The lettuce and tomato were at the bottom of my sandwich, and the cashier was mid, he didn't say anything whatsoever and honestly felt like he was underlyingly avoiding my gaze and presence! Can't complain. If it's relatively busy (lunch) the wait isn't too bad, things move along rather quickly and the quality is on par with what you would expect from any FSs. I like the selections, the employees always seem to be in a very good mood. I don't mind frequenting this place at all and will continue to do for the foreseeable future. Great food and great service. My wife and I got a take out order today at about 330 pm. We ordered a two four inch sandwiches and made meals out of them. The sandwich I had was a hook and ladder sandwich and it was very good. The turkey was very tasty. After I got home I realized that I was missing my cup of chili. I called them and they apologized. I came back at 630 and had the chili, which was awesome in the store. The gentleman behind the counter apologized and gave me a coupon for a free sandwich on a return visit. We live very near a FS store and get a sandwich about 3 x a year. I know that's not much, but every time we have had their food, it was superb! Bread is well-toasted, plenty of meat, cheese and trimmings. Staff are always nice to greet you when you arrive and depart. We will be back! read more

Every restaurant has a sign on the front stating they have gluten free bread, yet after going to three different locations in the past week every single location has said they're out of gluten free bread. Nice surprise out in West County. I was looking for something different and this had opened recently. It was a odd time of the day so I didn't expect a crowd. There were a few folks in eating. The place was bright and spotless. I was greeted right away. I asked the sandwich chef what to try in order to have a good first opinion. I ordered a Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. Made it a combo with Sun Chips and a drink. The drink machine was interesting. Only one spot to get drinks and ice. The touch screen allowed me to choose whatever flavors I wanted and how much of each. The sandwich was brought out to my table rather quick. And it was good. I had to take smaller bites in order to make the sandwich last. It wasn't as filling as a Subway or Quiznos but then again the bread wasn't the star of this sandwich - the cheese and brisket was. When I was done and went in to store for my last refill and drop off my trash one of the employees reminded me that completing a survey would get me a free 32 oz drink next time. I have not been here before. Ordered the Firehouse Pub steak that was a limited sub. When we got home and opened it, it looked like there was mass amounts of steak. When you pick it up, its very light though. The middle of the sandwich is actually filled with pub cheese, and they sprinkle the steak on top of that, then put the fried onions on. Obviously disappointing. The pub cheese was not melted, so it was this thick spread that was not appetizing. It was also expensive, a medium was $6.99. Might give it another try, if someone else is paying. read more

Firehouse Sub's is a chain, so this location is much like every other store. Place your order at the counter, pay, and wait for your sandwich to be made and your name called out. While waiting you can grab a seat at a table and get your beverage, there is a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine here so can customize your soda to fit your personality. The food here is pretty good, a step up from Subway. The sandwiches are served on steamed bread. I usually prefer the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket, its more than enough to fill even the biggest of appetites, if not you can always get a larger sandwich. Prices are reasonable, and service is usually pretty good. Good food, fast service, decent location, and plenty of seating make Firehouse Subs a great place for a quick bite to eat. read more

I have enjoyed Firehouse subs on three separate occasions now. All three sandwiches were delicious. What I like about Firehouse is the understandning that a 6" sub is too small and 12" is a bit much. Sandwiches are available in an 8" or larger size. A large assortment of sauces (BBQ and hot) are available to dress your sandwich. Please note Firehouse Subs was started by Firemen and staff may ask you to round up your bill to the nearest dollar to donate to their foundation. I'm really pissed. I eat at firehouse all the time, just usually not this location. I used 8,000 of my points to get my sandwich and the bread was not toasted and they put sooooo much ranch that it was dripping all over me and my plate. The side of the sandwich was completely covered in ranch. The restaurant was trashed as well, a majority of the tables were dirty. I totally wasted my free sandwich because I threw half of it away. Our family loves firehouse and this location keeps up their good reputation. Anytime we don't know what we want for dinner, or are craving a warm sub, we come here. They have health options and.. not so healthy options. They make their own pickle spears and they're delicious. They are famous for their meatball sub and it's easy to see why. They also have a coke freestyle machine which is really great. I suggest if you're going to go that you get a meatball sub meal, with your favorite chips and a cherry limeade with fresh squeezed limes!! read more

My wife and I are always greeted when we walk in the door, and the employees and management are always friendly and helpful. An added plus, their sandwiches are all amazing, fresh and tasty! My favorite is the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. The place is always clean, including the bathrooms. Free condiments include about 50 or so options of different hot sauces to pour and sample at your leisure - I had no idea there were that many good hot sauces even out there. A cleaver idea that I take advantage of and try a new sauce every time. I like the fact that they always have coupons available through their mailers. And lastly, my sweet-tooth enjoys their freshly baked cookies, their hundreds of different Coke options they offer with their Coke-Cola machine, or sometimes I'll do their freshly brewed sweet tea. I found this place a couple of days ago while looking for a good new place to eat and I found it! Great place with great food and people working there. The manager at this location, Shannon, is awesome. Her attention to detail and commitment to service is impressive. A lot of fast food places I go to have marginal service...she goes above and beyond! I work in law enforcement and have quite a few contacts with other first responders, who all have great things to say about her assistance to our field and her commitment to her community. The sandwich I ordered was hot with a decent amount of meat. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy it due to them messing up my order and putting cheese on my sandwich when I hadn't requested it. I didn't discover this until I took it out to eat after getting it to go. I'm allergic to dairy, so when I discovered melty cheese all over every ounce of meat, I was less than impressed. Terrible experience last night. It started off reasonable enough as the order was taken. Then, this obnoxious out of control lady barges in to pick up her order that she said had been placed earlier in the day. Of course, there was no record of the order. Because she threw a fit and intimidate the young crew working there, everyone ahead of her had to wait on their order while they frantically prepared hers. After a 20 minute wait, my order was finally ready. When we got home, we discovered that the bread had been toasted to a burnt stage. No more Firehouse Sub in Ballwin for us. read more

Their turkey bacon ranch is awesome. Staff is nice. I like that it's created by firefighters and part of the profits go to them. They also have ballwin elementary days that part of your bill goes to the elementary school. They have a ton of dipping sauces. Free refills on drinks. read more
