Completely wrong, plain sub. None of the toppings ordered, missing most of the meat. Mngmt and cust service never responded or refunded.

Used to be good. These days, online orders can take forty minutes longer than quoted, so get ready to wait. We've stopped going after our last order had a giant sub that was completely incorrect (we were given a plain ham and cheese sub instead of a considerably more expensive sub). Management and customer service never got back to us after repeated emails. We've stopped going and may switch to the new one on Manchester, or might just be done with Jersey Mike's for a while...

##17 Mike's Famous Philly (add bacon)
Michelle L.

I'm in a sandwich group and someone was raving about Jersey Mike's, specifically the Philly. That heavily influenced my decision as I've never been here before. I pre-ordered for pick-up the #17 Mike's Famous Philly. I got grilled onions, white American cheese, and added bacon because that's what the guy touting the sandwich got. When I got there they were wrapping up and bagging my sandwich. This is a good thing because there were 3 people ahead of me and they were only taking 1 order at a time. I took it home and dug in pretty quickly. I found it to have very little flavor considering there is beef, cheese, onion, bacon, and bread. I didn't find it to be very well seasoned and how do you serve tasteless bacon? I like Penn Station better...sorry Mike.

Worst sandwich ever!!

This was the most disgusting thing I have ever been served!! I'm not sure how they even stay in business!!! This was completely inedible!! I will never order from them again!! My child's sandwhich also has special instructions to go lite on the mayo and they caked that on hers too. I guess they don't read the orders and from the looks of it, just toss and roll them around maybe even drop them a few times before they serve it to you. I would stay clear of this place.

Good customer service, fresh cut meat on the spot, fresh bread. Great sandwiches. Had the Italian and hubby had the Roast beef.

Very good philly. Probably one of the best I have ever had. The place was busy which usually means they are good. I will be back.

I get the big Kahuna Hot, loaded, juicy, spicy, melt-in-your-mouth sandwich bread. Private label root beer is delicious.

Fast friendly staff. It'll cost you more than other chains, but it is definitely higher quality.

If you want the steak soup they serve in Annie Gunns....and I highly recommend it...get it there. And FRESH FISH. Amazing fresh fish. Also highly recommend the smoked shrimp, trout and the crab cakes. I could go on and on...so much goodness in there. The ambiance is a bit snug in there and it might be a bit overwhelming with all the amazing products, but so worth it. Take your time and stroll through. Service can be a bit tricky. Sometimes you need to wait in line at the beginning of the deli area but if want meat of fish you need to wait in that area.. But they are always running at full speed

My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was delicious and so was the turkey reuben sandwich too. They had too many yummy sides to pick from, but the pasta salad and broccoli salad I tried first were so good. I cannot wait to go back so I can keep trying all of the delicious options they serve up.

I like their baked beans as well. When they have jalapeño cornbread, that is a must get item. Nothing else like it. I could eat it all day. My wife loves the potato salad too. I ordered a 2-meat platter with burnt ends that were phenomenal and the smoked habanero turkey that was moist and delicious and the spicy BBQ sauce adding a nice little zing. I was a little disappointed that the place didn't offer cornbread or Texas toast with the platter and I didn't think to ask until after I got my food. Sides were good and I thought the baked beans were very good but the Mac n Cheese was a little too cheese-whizzy for me and wasn't too crazy about it but will get potato salad next time. Also I'll try their brisket on the next visit l since that's my measure of truly great Texas style BBQ. It's kind of an odd setup for a restaurant since it's inside a service station but it's a really nice service station and the restaurants decor is pretty nice. I'd give it 4.5 stars if they allowed it, but will go with 5 stars for now.

First, I love that this is a locally family owned and run Busines. We tried the Zach and the Meatball sandwich. The Zach was packed with turkey, cheese and pesto. The Meatball sandwich is honestly one of the Top 10 Meatball sandwiches in STL! It truly highlights the famous Vitale Sauce/Gravy recipe! One Saturday I took my kids to Kirkwood park and decided to stop in at Vitale's on the way home. I'm so glad that I did! The shop isn't anything fancy, there is a counter inside and then a handful of tables outside. It is primarily a to go joint which is pretty standard for delis. It gives off the vibe that you should just stroll up from the neighborhood and grab something to eat, chat for a while with other locals, and then head home. It has a nice, no frills vibe that I really enjoyed. The sandwiches are pretty typical for an Italian Deli with most of them featuring variations of lunchmeat. I'm always a sucker for meatball sandwiches though so that is what I got with a side of chips. It was outstanding. The meatballs were GIANT and they were the right texture. It was large enough that I had to split it across two meals. The owner was really nice when I was inside and talked to both of my kids. My kids were so well behaved they convinced me to buy them a cannoli on the way out the door. Over this shop fills its niche well, the shop was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. I'll be stopping back in again in the near future.
