Checked out Dave's Hot Chicken on a Thursday night around 10pm with the BF. Was headed to Popeye's but decided to see what all the social media hype was about. I'd suggest going late during the week to avoid the extreme lines. We still stood in line but the line wasn't out the door and we were also able to grab a parking spot closer to the door. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The downfall was the food. I ordered a combo meal which included a chicken sandwich and 1 tender with fries. A plus was I was able to mix-n-match the spice level. I ordered 1 mild and 1 medium. The chicken is extremely overrated. The seasoning on the chicken along with Dave's sauce which is basically mayo was horrid!!! The French fries were literally just OK. The only help was the slaw on the chicken sandwich but all, in all I should have just tried the 1 chicken strip and French fry combo for $9.99. The prices are ridiculous to not include a beverage. The food portion was enough for the both of us since their chicken tenders are massive but we ended up throwing the food away because it was soo nasty. We just couldn't finish it. It's a NO for me Dave.....sorry

This place is awesome! Love the chicken. The sliders were amazing with the slaw and pickles, such a great flavor. I got medium. It wasn't as hot as I expected. Definitely going with hot next time. Medium tasted like mild to me. Only thing I didn't love is the sauce. It was a bit too sweet. My wife and daughter did not love this place. They prefer Chick Fil A. I thought it was much better. Definitely want to go again. Though, it will likely just be me and the boy.

This place has great loaded fries. The fries have chicken bites and pickles. The amount that you get is a good portion as well. The other chicken strips have great spicy seasoning with a crunch for those that like spicy. If you don't like spicy then even the mild spice can be overwhelming. The food came out about 10 minutes after we ordered. They were busy on last Sunday when we went.

Hubby and I have been wanting to try DHC since they opened. Upon arriving, I noticed how busy and crowded they were, But it didn't stop us from going. There was a line wrapped around the building, but it moved pretty quick. Once you make it to the door, there is a working standing there to let you in. The food ordering line was long, but moved quick. We opted to take our food to-go as the inside was just too busy and I find it quite awkward to sit in front of the window and people stare in your face while eating. I order the number 3, which comes with a chicken tender, slider and fries (added cheese). I opted to go hot for my spice level. The tenders were juicy and the spice on the outside was spicy. The slaw on the slider helped balance out the spiciness of the chicken. The bun was soft and a little on the sweet side. Fries were well seasoned and slightly crispy. The added cheese sauce was good. The pickles were absolutely delicious. There's plenty of parking and the staff were friendly and always cleaning. Only gave them 4 stars as there is always room for Improvement.

This is the first Dave's location in the STL area and it has been absolutely packed ever since it first opened up. You can tell this location is well staffed, as our order came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Dave's #3 combo since I wanted to try a Tender and a Slider. I'd totally get this order again, as it's nice to be able to try both. Since I love spicy food, I tried the Extra Hot and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and heat level. My husband got the Hot version of the same meal and it was also pretty good. The meal came with Dave's Sauce and honey packets which helped bring down the heat and also balanced the flavors. For the side item we had cheese fries and it was delicious. The fries have a tasty seasoning added to the top. Although the meal was a bit on the pricier side, everything we ate was delicious and seemed fresh. It reminds me of premium fast food. The chicken is super tender and the texture was great.

This stretch of Chesterfield Airport Rd is filled with seemingly abandoned, anachronistic-looking chain restaurants. Some of them have clearly gone out of business. In some cases, the lunch rush may not have started yet. It's 11 AM on a Wednesday. Dave's Hot Chicken, meanwhile, has a line out the door. It's 400 degrees outside, and some of their more inconsiderate patrons are entirely unconcerned that they're "letting all the cold air out." Other nearby restaurants, obviously jealous, are blocking parking spaces for their own customers using dining chairs with handwritten signs on them. I had to see what the hype was about. Plus, it was free. Someone from my job with an expense account was going, and they must have felt sorry for me. It pays to be stuck in a rut. Like the nearby Raising Cane's, Dave's Hot Chicken doesn't serve anything other than chicken strips. Well, I guess they've got chicken bites, which are probably just chicken strips that have been cut up into little pieces, for people who don't chew as well. And sandwiches, which are just the exact same chicken strips on a bun--which these clowns have the nerve to charge you $2 for. Arguably, buns should be free, like cups of water from a fountain soda machine. (If they were, I guess people might try to bring their own meat to restaurants. Pause.) There's also milkshakes for some reason. Milkshakes don't really seem to go with hot chicken, except that maybe if you ordered the Reaper spice level, you could use one to cool down your palate and thus avoid having to call an ambulance. How embarrassing would that be. You can get just the strips themselves, served in a combo with fries, slaw and what appears to be Texas Toast, or you can get them on a bun, with slaw on it and some sort of Cane's Sauce-like substance, also served with fries if you get it in a combo. Why doesn't the combo also come with a drink? Is it because they know they're already charging entirely too much? If I go again, I might bring my own drink as a matter of general principle, even if I'm not paying. I opted for the two-sliders combo and a small drink. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the soda fountain had both Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Really, you only need Coke Zero (the best soda, "periodt"), unless the president visits. That might help them avoid an ICE raid. I couldn't see back into the kitchen, but you can never be too safe. The sliders were insanely big, for something that's supposed to be the size of a White Castle. You only get two, but most people--unless they just got out of jail--don't have any business eating that much. Each of them was bigger than one of the sandwiches at the also nearby Chick-fil-A. They put a few pickles on the sandwich, and they also give you a few on the side, which was very generous of them. The fries were crinkle cut, nicely crisp, coated in some sort of seasoning salt and served with a cup of the aforementioned Cane's Sauce-like substance. The chicken sandwiches were amazing. The exterior, with its crispy coating and dark-colored seasoning, almost makes the chicken look like it's overcooked, but no, it's cooked to perfection. The interior is nice and, erm, moist. I ordered the Hot, which I didn't find to be very hot. But that was probably for the best, since I wasn't by myself and I couldn't afford to look like a wimp in front of my colleagues. Whatever seasoning they used gave it a surprising complexity, I thought. It was probably just cayenne. What do I know? I've hardly been anywhere. I was lucky to be here, and not just because it didn't cost me anything.

So happy they put labels on their To Go orders

Dave's Hot Chicken opened 7/11/25 I believe and we came 7/14/25. OMG the line was so long. It was wrapped around the back of the building. Is say we waiting about 45 minutes until we were able to order then another 15 to get our food. It wasn't so bad but it was humid outside. The staff managing the door and lines was very friendly. It's pretty much chicken nuggets, strips and sandwich. You can also get cauliflower to sub for chicken if that's your thing. With there being 4 of us, we all ordered a few different combos (drinks are separate) My husband said it wasn't bad, he'll return once the lines aren't so long. My oldest doesn't care for the seasoning so he'll eat them plain next time My youngest said it was and he'll come back for sure. I didn't mind it and the Dave's sauce is really good. We all love the fries. Crinkle cut and fried so crispy with their seasoning. I added cheese and what a combo. The frozen drink was good and whenever we decide to come back, we'll try their shakes. We decided to eat in the car because it was just too crowded. Not pictured - Dave's #3: 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries - hot heat If you plan on going soon, make sure you are prepared to wait outside for a while.

Honestly, it was a great experience overall. The food was delicious, and the front cashier, Traelyn, mixed a strawberry lemonade and fruit punch slushee for us, which was a fantastic idea. She was super kind and walked us through the best menu items and how to get the most bang for our buck. It's definitely a pricier spot for chicken, but the flavor makes it worth it. I got spice level 3, and it had a good kick. I'd get that again. I wouldn't get the loaded fries next time, but the regular fries were great dipped in the cheese. A little crowded indoors I will be getting it to go next time I visit as well.

Wow. I LOVE this place. When I first saw the prices for 2 tenders I was blown away away....little steep. Then I saw the tenders and they were huge lol. I got the medium spice and they were perfect. The fries were really good and all around the whole place is super cool looking. The service was excellent and the ambiance was relaxed and fun. I 100% recommend this place. I was not disappointed in this meal.

One medium and one hot chicken tender with cheese fries

The service and atmosphere were fine here and the long lines moved quickly. However, my son and I just do not understand the hype. My son wanted to come here after seeing them on YouTube and even he said it was just ok. There are much better chicken places around. I say this not to bash the place, but to provide my honest opinion. The service here was awesome and the woman taking my order was so kind as to tell the cooks to split my nugget order in half and give me 5 hot buffalo bites instead of all medium. I am so glad she did because the buffalo bites were the best thing we had aside from the cheese fries. Neither of us cared for the Dave's sauce either. It was sweeter than we liked. If you want to try it, go for it, but we will continue visits our other fave chicken spots.

Great new chicken spot! Great spice with good options. Love the amount of pickles. The tenders and sandwiches were super fresh and decent portion sizes. Service was quick. Milkshake machine was down at about 10-11pm (womp womp). Fries were crispy and well seasoned. No big knocks! Great location too. We'll be back ;)

Number 4, a slider and fries.

Unexpectedly spectacular hot fried breaded chicken from a place that started as a night time food stall in 2017. Built into where the Five Guys once was, I wasn't expecting the food to be superficially similar to Raising Cane's, nor for it to taste as good as it did. The portions are deceptively small for their prices (although one can argue that Cane's goes overboard with the texas toast and meh fries anyway) but the taste of the chicken alone might have been worth the $10 USD I spent on a slider and fries and pickles (they call their chicken sandwiches "sliders" here). I asked for the hot spice level, since this place seems to pride itself on spiciness. There was a sign nearby that reminded customers to sign a waiver form before eating the Carolina Reaper level chicken, but I usually scoff at that since no restaurant with an ounce of self preservation would sell something that can kill their customer. The hot spiciness level wasn't (in my spice-deadened tongue) *too* strong, definitely a level or two above that of Popeye's but not enough to drive any casual eaters away. What really carried the chicken was the rub they used- as well as how meticulously prepared the breading was. There was a very audible and noticeable (mouthfeel) CRUNCH when I bit into the sandwich, making me wonder if I had been served chicken cartilage. Far from perturbed, it made me want to eat more, and I had to force myself to slow down lest the shock caused me to inhale the entire meal. Somehow, the breading wasn't boiling hot but the meat inside was a comfortable warmth and juicy to boot. Could this have been because of the open AC above me, blasting 50f directly onto my table? For once I'm glad about that- it counteracted the heat of the sandwich and allowed me to continue eating with gusto even though the sandwich *just* came out of the frier. That rub... I'm not sure how to describe it. Nashville style almost but a little sweeter and, like I said, "tolerable" for a palate that was slightly more than casual. As I was eating the fries, which were *also* somehow fried to perfection (you can tell they were hand cut and breaded using the same or similar process to the chicken, having uniform texture that slightly gives after a bite. also no cold core. go figure.) I thought to myself "is this just the Red Robin (rip) special seasoning except waaaay less salty, so that you can actually enjoy it and not feel your heart pressure jump? no way." The fries were just dusted but it was enough. I almost didn't have enough to use with the "Dave's Sauce" because I kept eating them one after another. The Dave's Sauce was decent, but nothing too special. It reminded me a bit of a slightly spicier version of honey mustard, which is great because I love honey mustard. Thinking back, the woman who took my order, Nay, asked if I'd like more Dave Sauce (complimentary). I should have taken her up on that. Normally I dip my chicken sandwiches into these sauces, but I completely forgot to by the time I was like 2/3rds of the way through, lol. As if the sweet coleslaw tucked into the bottom of the sandwich, which was a bit of an afterthought, didn't merge so well with the little smattering of sauce in the sandwich itself. (it did.) I'd like to end this review by pointing out that it's nice and unexpected that the cashier who took my order offered her name in case I had any questions and concerns. That's something you normally get from a sit down restaurant, and was kind of appreciated. For disclosure, I was also encouraged by Jacky to write a review, after she stopped by to ask how I was enjoying my meal. Half a sandwich was in my mouth at the time, so i gave her an ok sign. The food was spectacular, even if its a little bit expensive. Thanks Dave and company.

My husband and I went here in a Thursday evening around 6:15. While it wasn't packed, there were a lot of people there! People were in and out the entire time we were there. We got in line and it moved pretty quickly. The two people taking orders were super friendly and helpful. They realized it was our first time there and gave us some advice. Their sliders aren't sliders. They're a whole sandwich! They have different spice levels to choose from. One sandwich and fries, along with a milkshake, was more than enough for me! A gal was sweeping the floor and told us to get honey and Dave's sauce and put both on the sandwich. We did and it was tasty! It was a little loud in there, but not annoyingly so. It was very clean. And the walls are decorated with all kinds of stuff - they have a "graffiti" look. The only thing wrong was that our fries were not hot - barely even warm. It seems like a place that has that many people coming through, and most orders appeared to have fries, that it would be easy to serve hot fries. A guy (manager?) came by our table to see how everything was and we said great except the fries were not even very warm, and they should have been hot. He offered to get us some fresh ones, but we were finished by then. We really liked it and will definitely be back!

There were a few groups/families upon arrival, but there was also a bit of a wait. I suspect everything was made to order and TRUST ME, the wait was worth it. It came out piping hot and so so delicious. I CLEANED the bones. And had I not taken a breath, I would've finished it all, but I couldn't. I was stuffed. You already know I took the left overs home and air fried those bad boys and it was still so so good!! I am still thinking about this place, drooling to go back for more. They must have remodeled because I did not see a walk up window anymore. There was indoor dining with plenty of tables/wooden booths available. If you haven't gone, you NEED TO GO!!

We stopped in Saturday night to pick-up some eats to go. The owner (the lady) was working the front counter while hee husband was in the kitchen cooking up a storm. When I tell you how incredibly sweet and kind this lady was........omgggggggggg We ordered the 4 pice wing special with fries and a 3 pice bresst combo that included two sides so we went with the beer battered onion rings and family recipe Mac-N-Cheese that was made with jalapeños and red peppers I think. We opted for only the hot sauce as a condiment. EVERYTHING is made to order so there is usually a 20 minute wait. No problem we left and went to Aldi down the street. We returned and our food was ready, hot as fish grease and DELICIOUS as ever. We had leftovers of course which we ate Sunday morning for breakfast and Monday morning. We found our new favorite chicken spot. We're working our way through the menu, want to try the fried catfish and other sides as well. I've been recommending this spot ever since. Definitely run and check out this family restaurant. There is indoor seating available, plenty of parking and I believe a drive thru.

This location was sure busy and wasn't sure if we would be able to dine in but right after we placed our order on the kiosk a table had just opened up. Few things to point out before I get to the food. You can order at the counter, but they also have two kiosks that you can order which made it nice bc there was a line for counter orders so we walked right in, placed our order at the kiosk. The only issue that it's so tricky when ordering from the kiosk bc you have to make sure you click each item per chicken. It's not per order so really pay attention if you need to modify. My daughter and I both did meal #1 which comes with two tenders set on top of bread, pickles and fries. I got the lightly mild bc I don't like spicy food and no pickles. You have to make sure you say no pickles for chicken 1 and chicken 2. It's really weird. And bc it was our first time there it took us a while to make sure the order was exactly as we wanted it. My daughter got medium for her level with no bread and no pickles. Again click no bread, no pickle for each tender. My daughter loves spicy foods and she said the medium level is actually the perfect amount of heat. The seasoning they use on the chicken and the fries is what makes it good. I thought the lightly mild was perfect bc it had that tiny kick to where I could enjoy it. Now you also have few choices for sauces like ketchup, honey and it also automatically came with a sauce and not really sure what kind of sauce it was, but it just wasn't for me. I really wished they had a house made ranch or honey mustard bc sometimes you just want to dip your tenders in lol. So I was really disappointed that those weren't an option. Lastly, we have the crinkle fries. I've never been a fan of crinkle fries.....but these crinkle fries are the only crinkle fries I'll ever eat. Absolutely loved them! They were crispy and the seasoning....muah . Overall, my daughter and I thought they were okay and next time her and I will share one order bc neither of us were able to finish the two giant tenders plus the fries. Which makes ordering kinda cool bc you can do different levels per tender .

The place is kinda small with limited indoor seating. Seems like next door has restrooms if needed, so that was weird. The price was on the higher side for fast food, but the quality was great and good quantity so sharing made enough for two people. The fritters were okay, but not sure I would get them again. All told a bit Quirky, but tasty chicken so I would recommend checking it out, Cheers!

The chicken was prepared absolutely perfectly, cooked all the way through evenly distributed. The crispy texture of the outside was perfect, and didn't slide off like some other chicken places. Paired with the sauce, it was the epitome of what I crave when I think "Nashville chicken". Similar to Dave's hot chicken but way better imo. The fries were also cooked to perfection! Perfectly crisp on the outside, nice and fluffy on the inside! I'm not sure where they source their ingredients but it seemed to be high quality stuff. I did wish this location had some drinks on tap, but a minor thing considering the quality of the food. The owner was super nice, and i had the good fortune to witness a lovely experience! - Prior to eating here, I had previously visited a local cafe in which, due to limited seated, a family decided to leave. The owner, was not only irritated but somewhat rude about the interaction. Fast forward to my experience today at Chuck's, I saw an older woman come in who seemed to just be looking at the menu, then decided it wasn't for her. The owner, i believe his name was Jesse, politely said "yeah of course no problem, hope you have a great day!". Now had I not had the previous experience, perhaps this would have been nothing to praise, but I certainly wanted to give credit to this owner as I had already witnessed a much different reaction to a similar circumstance. Being kind and professional to even those who don't patron your business is a recipe for success, and I wish this franchise and this business great success in the future. Store was also quaint, but not super big. Wasn't a big fan of the music, felt a tad loud for my taste. Also, they have some self service kiosk for ordering but also take orders if they aren't in the back cooking. Will certainly be back in the furure. 5 stars!

We absolutely love Syberg's, and over the years we've visited several of their locations. Out of…read moreall of them, the Chesterfield restaurant has become our favorite, and for good reason. It's consistently the cleanest location we've been to, which makes the dining experience much more enjoyable. Even though it isn't the closest to us, we live in St. Charles, we still find ourselves choosing this one almost every time. The extra drive is worth it. As for the food, it's reliably great, especially if you're a fan of their signature wing sauce. Their menu has a lot to offer, but the wings are definitely the star. One piece of advice I'd give to anyone ordering chicken dishes, though, is to request the Syberg's sauce on the side. During our visit today, we made the mistake of having the sauce mixed in with the chicken, and it ended up being absolutely drenched, so much that we could barely eat it. We literally had to tap each piece on the plate to shake off the excess sauce, which you can probably see in the photo. It didn't ruin the meal entirely, but it's something I'll definitely keep in mind next time. Other than that small complaint, everything else about our experience was wonderful, as usual. The service is consistently top‑notch; the staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our food always arrives quickly and comes out fresh, which is something we really appreciate, especially on busy nights. One item we always order, and highly recommend, is their fried pickles. We've tried fried pickles at lots of places, but Syberg's version is one of our absolute favorites. They're perfectly crispy, not greasy, and they pair amazingly well with their ranch dipping sauce. It's become a must‑have appetizer for us each time we dine here. Overall, we always enjoy our visits to Syberg's, and the Chesterfield location continues to exceed expectations. Despite the minor issue with the saucy chicken, everything else, from the quality of the food to the cleanliness of the restaurant to the excellent service, keeps us coming back. Whenever we're craving their delicious wings, this is the place we choose every time. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I've had several less-than-stellar experiences at this location. Anytime I've gone there, at least one person in our party can't have what they want to eat, because the restaurant "just this second" ran out of whatever was being ordered. It happens almost every time. Actually, this happens at every Syberg's I've ever been to. This particualr location is right next door to Chesterfield Marcus Theater, and we wanted to have lunch before seeing a movie. Our waiter was extremely friendly. I ordered the seafood salad, which the menu described as follows: "Syberg's House salad mix topped with fresh jumbo shrimp and crab." On paper, it sounded wonderful, but when the waiter brought it out, I saw immediately that there was no crab at all in the salad. I was looking forward to lump crab meat, and what I got was Surimi, which is artificial "crab." Surimi is made by chopping up some type of white fish, usually pollock, and making a gelatinous paste. The paste is then flavored to make it taste like crab meat (it doesn't), then formed into sticks or chunks, and dyed to resemble crab meat. It doesn't taste like crab, because it isn't crab. It's actually pretty nasty. The only good thing I can say about this salad is that it was massive. If you're going to serve Surimi, fine, but please don't lie about it on the menu. I never would have chosen that menu item if the description had been honest. I sat and waited for my family to finish their meals, so we could get to the theater and I could at least have popcorn for lunch. Our waiter never checked on us asking if the food was okay, and when he took our plates, he made no comment about the fact that my salad had barely been touched. It looked exactly the same as it did when he brought it to me, because I couldn't choke it down. This was kind of the last straw, and I doubt I'll be going back.
