The place is kinda small with limited indoor seating. Seems like next door has restrooms if needed, so that was weird. I decided to cash in my $5 coupon they sent me for my birthday. I still ended up paying $8 for just a sandwich. Why is everything so expensive?!? I ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, level 1 Mild and I added a scoop of coleslaw. I placed my order online and I had to pick a sauce. I went with the honey sriracha aioli. This sandwich was mid at best and I should have went with level 2 spice. I did enjoy the pickles, they were a great size and tasted fresh. I do not have to go back but it was okay. Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwhich (level 3 heat I believe) with Chuck's sauce and boyyyy was it tasty! The chicken was prepared absolutely perfectly, cooked all the way through evenly distributed. The crispy texture of the outside was perfect, and didn't slide off like some other chicken places. Paired with the sauce, it was the epitome of what I crave when I think "Nashville chicken". Similar to Dave's hot chicken but way better imo. The fries were also cooked to perfection! The service is what you would expect from a typical restaurant. I was greeted by the staff and they took care of our needs. The wings were jumbo. The presentation was good. The guy with red hair working up front is incredibly rude. regardless if you're eating there or taking it to go, they'll give it to you to go. Ordered 5 count chicken fingers (mild) and a hot chicken (hot) sandwich with pepper Jack and coleslaw on it. Ordered fries to go with it and a slice of red velvet cake. You give them your phone number and then grab a seat. They have a few tables inside and outside if you want to dine in. There's no table service and prices are decent. We got the food quickly and we're shocked when we open the boxes- my 5 count tenders were each about the size of a full chicken breast, I mean absolutely enormous. Well over a pound of meat easily. They were so fresh and juicy too. I ordered mine with ranch but you can get it with chucks sauce which is like a honey mustard. I still can't get over the portion sizes. For the price, you get way more here than Canes or Chick Fil A. Same goes for the sandwich. It was huge, fresh and so flavorful. I don't like a lot of spice at all and the mild was perfect! My husband got his sandwich hot (they have like 6 levels of hot I think) and said he could've gone a little hotter. They have lots of side options, sauce options, bottled drinks, and 4-5 huge cake slices and flavors. We got red velvet and it was great- only downfall is these aren't made fresh in house- they are from Carlo's bakery- still good though! And large slices. Upon arrival you'll find a small dining room and front counter designed around ordering a quick Nashville Chicken Sandwich to go, from an energetic team. The interior and exterior design has a fun focus on the raison d'etre, hot chicken. I ordered 3 Nashville Chicken sandwiches, heat levels 3, 5, and 6 and some fries. To preface Chuck's offers the standard Nashville, which is not really comparable to buffalo chicken, as the meat is usually marinated and dredged, then fried in spices rather than just a basic fried chicken filet that's sauced up. That said Chuck's is truly a delight and one of the few places doing Nashville Hot sandwiches right in the area. The seasoning on all the sandwiches had a nice combo of salty and spicy flavoring. They also offer a heat level 1 for those not interested in exploring the spicier side of life, but that's not the point for the namesake here. That said, the level 3 will be plenty of seasoning and heat for your average person (1.5 out 10 on my heat scale), the level 5 offers a bit more heat coming closer to a scotch bonnet or habenero (2 out of 10 on my heat scale), now when I say the level 6 is something special and chili head spicy, I mean it(6 out of 10 on my heat scale). I'm almost positive there's both reaper pepper and pepper extract used in the marinating and dredging process of the 6, many kudos to Chuck's on offering a true chili head offering. The fries had a nice crunchiness and were lightly seasoned. Overall I highly recommended Chuck's for their Nashville Chicken sandwich offerings. We had never been here before, and my son had been wanting to try it, so we picked up dinner for carryout. We were thinking about eating there, until we arrived. This is a real hole in the wall. They have two or three little tables, but it's not really set up for eating on the premises. I know it's fast food, but most fast food places are set up with the option of eating your food there if you want to. This one really isn't, so we just got our order to go. As we waited for them to cook our food, I couldn't help noticing that, even though we were there at dinner time, not another soul walked in the place the whole time we were there. Also, as we sat down to wait, some really angry metal music was playing really loudly. The vibe was just awful. There were three of us, so I got the chicken sandwich, my husband got 6 wings, and my son got chicken and waffles with 3 tenders. You can order at the counter, or there is a self-serve kiosk. Apparently the menu says that the sides are an extra $2.99 each, but on the kiosk, it says the sides are "required." You can't complete your order without making two selections per meal. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that they were charging extra for those required sides. We didn't even want sides!!!! I think you could select "no sides," but I assumed if they were required they would be included (like at most places). I figured someone at our house would eat them. Apparently we paid an extra $20 for sides that none of us wanted. I tasted them, but they were terrible, so they mostly went in the trash. With tax and a small tip (I'm getting really tired of being expected to tip someone for handing me a bag), the total was $60! Apparently, they think they're a sit down restaurant, but if so, they're delusional. You choose the level of heat you want, with 0 being no heat, just regular fried chicken, and 1 through 4 having increasing levels of heat as the number gets higher. I got the chicken sandwich, and I only went with a heat level of 1, because I don't like too much heat. According to the menu, level 1 is "baby steps," which sounded perfect. It wasn't. It was way too hot for me, and I was only able to choke down a few bites before throwing it in the trash. My husband got level 1 on his wings, and though he can tolerate more heat than I can, he agreed that it was too hot. Another thing to mention is the excessive grease content. By the time we got home, despite the fact that we had kept the food completely upright, the bag was saturated with grease that actually stained my clothes, because I was the one holding it. This was just all kinds of bad, and I will not be back. It would be much cheaper just to pour grease all over my own homemade chicken, and at least my sides are edible. read more

Very patient with us reviewing the menu and took the time to answer several questions we had. Depending on your interest in how spicy you want your chicken, Chuck's has a simple scale of 1-5 with 1 as close to mild, while 5 requires a serious professionals only. Wife went the 1 while I took the 2. I like spicy and does bring some heat, but will definitely try the 3 the next go around. We got the meal which comes with a beverage and good heaping of hot fries. Chicken was deliciously moist and full of flavor in addition to the heat. Trust me you're gonna like it! Chuck's does offer chicken and waffles in the weekend and we're also going to sample this the next time we're in. I've done the Paquis One Chip Challenge the last two years and I've had seriously hot chicken from Hattie B's and Southern many times, so I'm no stranger to extreme heat. Unless you can handle over a million Scoville Heat Units, listen up. If you can't go through a bag of Paquis Haunted Ghost Pepper chips without guacamole or salsa, stick to Level 4 and below. Level 5 does not mess around. Unless you have literal guts of steel, do not drop that on an empty stomach, you will regret it. Start with some garlic cheese curds. Level 6? I haven't worked my way up to that yet. Officially, anyway. I've ordered the Level 5 a half dozen times now and there is some variability. One of them was far hotter than the others and I suspect it may have been halfway to Level 6 (if not all the way there). It even looked meaner than the others, like it had got an extra helping of the hot stuff. Where does the heat come from? Good question. I've had somebody behind the counter tell me it's just Cayenne, but I don't believe it. That extra hot Level 5 I mentioned? A couple hours after downing that, it felt like somebody stabbed me in the guts with a screwdriver. Never had anything like that from the Reaper / Scorpion combo in the Paquis Challenge Chips. Stomach was too empty? Maybe. If you don't like heat, they've got a level 0. It's not bad. A little different, but good. Probably from being meant to be the base layer for the heat layer that was never applied. Not much dine in space, 3 tables inside, one table outside. Friendly staff and the place is clean. They've got a bitcoin ATM if you're into that. If you're antisocial or they're busy, they've got kiosks to order from. Staff will take your order if you have questions or need advice, you may just have to wait a bit. Update: Decided to try the Level 6. You can only get it as a sandwich. Too much risk of collateral damage from unintentional transfer if handled directly. The burn is familiar: Almost certainly some Scorpion. A whole lot of it. Probably extract (pure capsaicin), also. Do not play with Level 6, have countermeasures to neutralize the burn standing by unless you enjoy pain. This stuff is pure lava. You have been warned. read more
