This is a family owned butcher shop. We have had both beef and pork from here and it is high quality. They have a rewards program/points program with purchase. They will also dry age your meat for you at no extra charge. We have been using them for years, and have never had a problem. They are very helpful when ordering. It's such a nice little butcher shop with a good selection of sausages and meats. They offer truly prime cuts with a decent thickness you'd never find in a grocery store. And staff is always super nice and helpful. Easy to get to, ample parking (even with a popular bar nearby), there is no reason not to go! (Well, unless you live in another state or something. This is my review after 1 experience, but I must say... it was a great experience and I CANT wait to get back to this place... What really bothers me the most is that I have lived around 5 minutes away for the last two years and I am JUST NOW trying The Corner Butcher.... what took me so long?! Anyways, my husband and I were having my parents over for dinner and I wanted to make them some bacon wrapped filets so we decided to stop by this place. The butcher shop I normally frequent is out in st charles and I wasn't really in the mood to make a trip out that way. I'm glad I wasn't because I found a better (so far) butcher shop that is super close! The filets were priced right, about the same per pound as the grocery store- but they were WAY higher quality. I even slightly overcooked the filets and they were still super tender and full of flavor seasoned with just some salt and pepper. I love that they have about 10 sandwich options for lunch. My favorite deli is in the city and I don't make it out there too often, so it's exciting I found somewhere close that is also very tasty. I really LOVED the sandwich I ordered. It was the turkey BLT and it was delicious. It was also so big I could only eat half in one sitting! My husband ordered the gooey Louie, which is ham, pepperoni, and caramelized onions in between two grilled cheese sandwiches. He loved it too. I'm so happy we found this place because the meat from the counter is delicious and priced well, and the sandwiches are also wonderful. They also have some prepared frozen meals, a few produce options, and some other stuff as well. They even have a tap open to customs to help themselves to if you're of age! How cool! All in all, I can't wait to keep stopping by this place. I think it's going to be one of our regular spots for lunch and meat! read more

I received a coupon for a free sandwich so I decided to check it out. The staff are friendly, the shop is clean, and there is a variety of fresh and frozen items. The lunch menu is extensive. I ordered the Cubano special. It took a few minutes to get it but it was worth the wait. This sandwich is a Tampa style sandwich (salami) with extra Cuban pork. It was delicious. I was surprised of the addition of a fried egg on it. It works well with the pork and salami. It has a cumin cilantro aioli on it. I prefer the plain mustard but it was excellent as it was. The staff is friendly but led me on an unnecessary wild goose chase. I called ahead to see if they had bones for broth. The man who answered said they only sold beef bones but if I wanted pork, he could cut me some and that I should come on over. I show up and the lady working the counter showed me 2 different cuts of beef bones but when I mentioned the guy on the phone said they could cut me pork bones, she went to the butcher in the back to ask. He said they had none and didn't know when they would be able to order anything because of the holidays. My mom is sick and only wanted broth. She doesn't really eat beef so pork bones were all I wanted. Since they tricked me to show up, I ended up buying beef bones and a sandwich (travis pastrami- wouldn't recommend, super sweet tasting). Hopefully she will have some beef broth. I'm just super confused why one person would tell me one thing, then when I show up 15 minutes later, it is a totally different story. It's a tiny shop with only 3 people working and 2 customers; don't get why they couldn't effectively communicate. read more

I can't say enough about how happy I have been with the Corner Butcher! I have used them for a couple events and everyone loved it! Our first was 350 to 400 people for a high school banquet at Parkway West...go Marching Band! It was the best event in years, the food was very good and ease of service took all the pressure off. Jen and her team are friendly, accommodating and incredibly easy to work with. Also worked with the team, Kaden and Bill most recently, for a company lunch with 160 co-workers. Same excellent experience. From the first call I was able to make decisions, had calls along they way for any needed information and they kept me updated, which was important to me as the coordinator. The twist on a traditional Cuban was incredibly well executed: high-quality meat, great sauce, perfect pickles, all with an interesting twist (fried egg). Total awesomeness. The infused chicken is AMAZING! And I apologize for it not being available all time since husband and I buy everything they have every week. Usually Saturday. Being on Weight Watchers, chicken breasts play a huge part in our diet. The Corner Butcher makes it easy and YUMMY to eat a lot of chicken. The Carolina and Garlic Parm are favorites. The Italian is also great. They haven't made a flavor yet that we don't enjoy. The breasts are large and they're only like a dollar extra per pound than any of the local grocery stores. The staff is always helpful and so polite. If they don't have the chicken we want, they'll take an order and we're in! And they're a part of FiveSquare so we get free bratwurst and other things on occasion with rewards points. Have to save WW points for those treats, but completely worth it.
