While adding extra toppings such as roasted red peppers and avocado is a must, at $2 a shot, you can turn your sandwich into a little bit of an expensive lunch. I have been here three times including picking up 6 to 10 sandwiches for company lunches and they were ready really quickly. I was told you cannot order delivery from them directly unless you order $150 minimum. Otherwise, you can use DoorDash, Uber Eats, or GrubHub. I prefer to order and pick it up myself rather than pay those fees. The Californian is a favorite as is the prime rib. The interior is cute and they have a nice covered patio and what appears to be a converted gas station. Side dishes are coleslaw or potato salad and they carry Zapp's variety of potato chips, which I can't have because they are cooked in peanut oil & they thoughtfully post a sign to that effect as well, so that you know of the peanut allergy danger. The chocolate chip cookies are also a must!

At 7" for the small version we decided to split the sandwich. When we opened the door I was hit with the most delicious smells. My not too excited appetite went away in a flash. So quickly that when we got the sandwich, I forgot to take a photo. We ordered the sandwich on a white bun, adding lettuce, mayo, tomatoes and pickles the upgrading by adding avocado ($2 upcharge). Behind the counter service was pleasant and helpful. The sandwich came out hot from the oven. The cut showed almost an inch of sliced prime rib meat along with all the toppings. The taste was everything I expected. Well worth the stop in for our final St Louis meal.

Outstanding Customer Service -- Gioia's Goes Above and Beyond!…read more I wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible customer service I experienced at Gioia's! While waiting for my order, the staff generously offered me a complimentary cold-cut sandwich, which was such a nice surprise! My actual order came out very quickly, too. When I got home, I realized I had accidentally received the wrong sandwich. Mistakes happen, and what really matters is how a business handles them. I called the restaurant, and without any hesitation, they offered to remake my sandwich and even upgrade it to a large at no additional charge! When I returned to pick it up, the staff went above and beyond once again, offering me a complimentary drink or dessert. I genuinely wasn't looking for anything extra, especially after they'd already been so generous. But then I spotted the Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie Treat I'd been eyeing for a while. Since it's my birthday week, I figured why not treat myself? What a perfect little birthday surprise! My only small suggestion would be to consider offering freshly brewed iced tea. I'm a big brewed-tea fan, and the instant Gold Peak tea just isn't quite my preference. That's a minor personal preference, though, and certainly doesn't take away from the experience. What impressed me most wasn't just the generosity, but the attitude of the employees. They were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to care about making things right. That's the kind of customer service that turns a simple mistake into a reason to keep coming back. Gioia's absolutely earned five stars from me. Great sandwiches, quick service, and, most importantly, a team that clearly values its customers. Thank you for making my birthday week a little sweeter! I'll definitely be back!

I trusted the reviews and we had this delivered tonight…read more Nope. Not trusting you all again. Dessert first. Chocolate chip cookie was inedible. I've never thrown out a cookie before. 0/10 The food was all cold so maybe it's not a fair review but the sandwiches were greasy and tasteless. I wish I'd eaten my tuna salad in my fridge

If you've ever found yourself thinking, 'You know what would really hit the spot? An entire…read moreThanksgiving turkey wrapped in a bread hug,' Capriotti's has your back. I present to you The Bobbi...their legendary signature sub packed with slow-roasted, in-house shredded turkey, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo. It is practically a holiday on a roll, and honestly, Thanksgiving gets entirely too much flak for only happening once a year anyway. Not feeling festive? They've got you covered with heavy hitters like the Classic Cheesesteak, the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and The Capastrami, all served on soft rolls that somehow possess the structural integrity to handle an ungodly amount of meat. Wash it down with some seasoned fries and a house-baked 'brookie' because calories apparently don't count here. Between the friendly, fast service and the fact that you can get your feast via dine-in, curbside, or delivery, Capriotti's is a dangerous, delicious discovery. Consider yourself warned.

Came back as I said I would eventually and the second experience was a lot better for me!…read more Customer service was good, food was cook fresh and made to order. Plenty of seating and open space. I got hot peppers and no mushrooms on my Philly. It was well seasoned, the bread was super tasty not too soggy. Fries were crispy and delicious. still a little pricey, we got 2 small sandwiches, large fries no drinks and it was about $38, HOWEVER, I very much enjoyed my meal. Also, small is a bit misleading, it's deff about a 10inch sandwhich was was plenty for me and you can get a mini as well. I'm glad I came back, it hit my cravings for the day!

It was everything I wanted it to be: warm, flavorful chicken, garlicky, and cheesy with some fresh veg. It came with a side of chips, so I put a few on the panini for a nice crunch. I was a little overwhelmed walking in to the small-ish space, full of people and music (great music!). I saw a sign that said to take a seat, so I did and a nice gentleman brought me water. There was a menu on the table, but after a bit, I questioned if I should order at the counter. Not the case, they will take your order table-side, have you pay, and bring you the food. It was nice. Everyone was friendly. Comfy plush seating. Looking at past photos, I noticed they ditched those awful metal chairs and had a little make over. I loved the new look.

I didn't realize it was quite so far away, but it was worth checking out. Overall, I really enjoyed The Berliner with chicken, and the fresh Somun Bread & Kajmak was also a standout. The food was flavorful, and everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their meal. The only downside was that several of us ended up with upset stomachs afterward. That said, no one had anything negative to say about the food itself, and overall it was still a positive dining experience.
