We went and picked it up around lunch time and decided to stop in here for a couple sandwiches. This is a cute little mom and pop deli with TONS of great sanwich options. The bread was so fluffy and delicious, and they loaded the sandwiches with lots of toppings. Very St. Louis with lots of meats and sauces, and some flavor profiles that I only see in this area. I saw that they just opened in 2019, but they give a classic St. Louis establishment feel. We have some friends who live down the street so we will definitely be back with them. read more

Went with a group of coworkers and it was an overall crowd pleaser. The Cuban was a huge hit and everyone that had it said the mustard really set it apart from other Cubans. They said there was a kick to it that made it. I had the Italian. It was a solid sandwich! Grabbed some food to take to the zoo. We were hyped by the extensive menu, and the service was great! They packaged the food up and made sure we had utensils and napkins! I have been wanting to try this spot for a while and I'm just so sorry it took me this long! The sandwiches were absolutely outstanding. We ordered the Cuban, and Brisket sandwich along with a delicious side of German potato salad. It was all so very very very good. The folks at the counter were really very nice and helpful in making our final Sammie decisions and even came out and checked on us at the picnic table. Billie, my little blonde chihuahua baby, had a few pieces of my pulled pork and even got a nice big piece from the main sandwich artist himself! So very cool. Bubbas is a great spot for a quick pick up for lunch! Highly recommend checking it out!! I love the location of this spot, it's right off of Jamison/ Fyler and is quick to get to. It's right next to Farmhaus on the corner and easy to spot. Parking is plentiful on the street. You're in, out, and on your way. In my adventures to Bubbas, I've gotten The Cuban each time! Im a creature of habit and know what I like lol. The Cuban is amazing! It comes with smoked pork, glazed ham, and pickles. I've only been to Bubba's twice and I wish it had been more. It was in my old hood and I feel guilty that I didn't support it more. It's a quaint little sandwich shop that has a limited menu, but what they serve is top notch and delicious. I did not realize I am a true creature of habit until I started to write this review. On both of my visits, I ordered the same sammie and didn't even realize it. I ordered, The Cuban. On my first visit it was grilled like a true Cuban should be and was tasty. The second visit, it was served on a Sesame Hoagie type bun and cold. I found it to be odd, but the rich flavors from the smoked pork and ham were still there. My friend who joined me for lunch, liked his as well. We both just thought it was odd that it was served cold. I'm guessing someone was new in the kitchen or they were out of the regular bread. Either way, Bubba's is still a solid 4 Stars and worthy of a visit or two, or even more. The staff is super friendly and much more customer service oriented then the deli over on Jamieson. During COVID they have hands free menu and hand sanitizer available for their customers. Plus, Bubba himself is a real cutie. Word of warning if you were debating going to Bubba's Deli: DO NOT ORDER SLIDERS! Placed my order and then heard the guy in the back cursing and complaining about my order. "NO MORE SLIDERS...., why can't you just order a F$&ing sandwich!?!?" He went on for about 5 minutes complaining about my sliders and how stupid it was to order sliders because they cost more. Every other word was a curse. All in front of my child who could hear it all so much that another customer canceled her order as well. For the record the order was over $75 and tipped 25%. Just left and was totally satisfied. We had the German potato salad which was so good. Then we had a meatball slider and an Italian beef. First off I love the slider idea as I feel it gives you an opportunity to try something instead of having to get the bigger sandwich. We loved the bread! That, to us, is the make or break on a sandwich. We also appreciated that they put the giardiniera on the crease of the Italian beef instead of on top. We opted out of the cheese aspect on both sandwiches and both were good without it in my opinion. On a side note, Bubbas Deli did a "nominate a business for a free lunch" not to long ago and i nominated St Louis Hills physical therapy and they made them lunch, so that's another star from me. They REALLY do put that much meat on their sandwiches. I should have shown you a picture of the small house salad but I ate it first. I'm a fan of this place, the people are nice and the sandwiches are good. Granted I've only had two sandwiches and of the two I would recommend the Cuban. The meat is what makes Bubba's stand apart from other deli's as the meat is smoked every night and the bread is locally sourced. The sandwich might be priced a little higher than other deli's but after one bite you'll know that the extra dollar or so is validated. This is an excellent addition to the neighborhood and I hope it sticks around for a while. read more

We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon and we were greeted kindly by the staff. They helped us with the menu (easy to understand) and we all selected the three sliders and the mac & cheese with brisket as a side. It was most excellent, and the best part was probably the toasted bread with a great combination of meats selected. The one Suggestion that I would make is to add a little bit more sauce on the sandwich is. Our party of four agreed that we would enjoy more sauce. I drive down this street all the time and I saw that they were building it last summer. I was pretty intrigued but I had forgotten about it until recently. The inside is really cute and small but very clean. The first time I went in and I wanted to get the brisket but they were sold out which led me to getting the pot roast sandwich. The pot roast was the best that I've ever had. I was hesitant on getting anything because I have my sights set on the brisket but the pot roast is so tender and it comes with two potatoes that I've been roasting with it. The pot roast that goes with the side of basically cheese garlic bread is so flavorful and tender. The second time I went I was able to get the Bubbas dip. I added provel to it and my god it was fire. The brisket had so much flavor and was so thick cut and tender. The sandwich was so big that I had to finish it the next day and I swear the sandwich got better after a day. Both times my boyfriend has gotten the Ruben and says it's incredible. Sides: The first time I went I got the corn bread casserole which I was a little hesitant about it first but it is so creamy and has little pieces of red pepper in it. It's really good and compliments the sandwiches. The second time I went they had brisket chili as the soup of the day... all I can say is wow... it's definitely worth trying. Lastly, they do have a happy hour where it is buy one get 1/2 off sandwiches towards the end of the day The only downside is that they close early at 4 :/ So if you're looking for some delicious food definitely go take some time and try this place! read more

Folks, friends and neighbors please gather round while I tell you a tale about the best BLT in all of STL. My brother introduced me to Bubba's last fall and I dream of this place on the daily. The BLT is always my go to sandwich and I'm one picky lady when it comes to bacon. Let me say, this is the best bacon I've ever had. Paired with the fresh bread and lettuce and tomato. I'm now over here drooling. The only thing that could make it even better is if they had their delicious cheesy potatoes on the reg. I will happily settle for the homemade potato salad though. I didn't know this place existed until I got a gift card through my apartment complex. It's so close to me and in a really cute part of the neighborhood I've never really explored. I ordered the chicken club, house salad (with provel!), and cheesy potatoes, which was one of the sides of the day. The portion size of the chicken was so big I was able to take half and put it in my salad. The cheesy potatoes may have been the best I ever had! And I've had a lot of variations of cheesy potatoes at family get-togethers. They used a bread crumb topping i think instead of the more traditional corn flakes. Staff was friendly. I was not able to order online or through postmates because of the gift card. There was hand sanitizer by the door and the staff were wearing masks.
