It's Walmart. Big spacious and well lit. Organizations was at the front of the store asking customers to donate school items for the upcoming school year. I did oblige with a check list provided by the most needed items. Pencils, folders? Papers, glue etc. Shoes section has really improved and pricey I might add. I'm clutching my invisible pearls. If I could give half of a star I would!!! The staff never know what they're doing or where stuff is, provided they even speak English!! If you leave with large items they ask to see your receipt and treat you like a criminal if you refuse to show them. Which technically is not even legal for them to do that. If you signed a contract with Costco or Sam's club yes, you are required to show them your receipt. Better than most and probably one of the best Walmarts in the Saint Louis area. I had no problem parking in a lot that was free of litter. Most of the cart corrals were empty and a guy was working to clear them. Inside the store, brightly lit. I had no problem shopping in the lunch meats and sliced cheese, everything well stocked. Automotive had the windshield fluid I needed. Most of the front of the store has been converted to self-checkout but there was still a queue. Win some, lose some. I'd shop here again. It's Walmart, so your expectations shouldn't be so high. They have plenty of parking, which is nice. Its cool that they have dedicated parking for police even though they never use them. They always park in the no parking zone. There are plenty of spots for store pick up, too. Carts aren't so bad. Some get stuck every now and then, but they don't have bad or squeaky wheels. Veggies, bananas, and chicken are often low. Outside of that, they typically have what I need. Pharmacy is ok. Sometimes, you'll have to repeat the same thing over and refer them to the notes, but not a big deal. It's just annoying at times. read more

The only redeeming quality of this store is Theresa who works self check. Today I asked a stock person a question and she pretended like she didn't know English then turned around and spoke to her colleague in English. They all do that. There's tons of stock people on the floor at all times and they walk around like zombies who pretend to not speak English so they don't have to answer a customer's question. read more

I am usually not a big Walmart fan but this location has changed my mind. I was so impressed. I found everything that I needed. It was clean, organized and every employee I had interacted with was courteous and helpful. It is not close to my house but if I am in this area, I will definitely stop here. I decided to write this review because I have never written one for this store because I could only think of negative thoughts about my experience. Well I did some shopping on Sunday July 27 and as always only a few checkers were actually working otherwise self check was open. But I am guessing this person whom I think was named Michelle was a manager. She took note of the lines increasing and opened a register called me from my line started checking out my items and also talking on her Bluetooth getting more help up front. When another checker relieved her at my check out Michelle continued to watch as my bags were filled then put them in my cart. She at the same time was coordinating another checker opening up and getting customers moved to shorten lines. I then took over loading my own bags into my cart and she apologized that she had stopped doing it. My checker was also fabulous and very kind. Both of these employees seemed by far the best I have ever experienced at Walmart. I hope Manchester store keeps them and is compensating them well. read more

I came in today 1/17/2025 to purchase over $200 worth of groceries for me and my partner. One of my items was a 30 pack of beer. My girlfriend is disabled so she does't have a drivers license to verify her age. This has never been a problem before. I come about once a week for reference. The old white dude with gray hair running self checkout then told me to go f*ck myself and began to laugh at me while I was checking out. I will never be returning again. This Walmart location has done a tremendous job of increasing its drive up grocery ordering service. They have increased the number of cars at a time and hired more staff for this department. Order anything inside the store on the Walmart App and pick up from the outdoor parking spaces. My orders are always correct and efficiently packed in my trunk while I wait. The staff wear masks even while loading outside. Walmart absolutely holds one of the top spots on my drive up groceries list at this time. read more

We have been WalMart+ members for more than a year. Their pick up is seamless. Their shipping directly to your door is also fast. However, they still cannot get the "Delivery"" of items to your door to work. We had several problems when we first started ordering items for delivery, and stopped using that service for a while. Then later we used it again and it seemed like there was some improvement. However, we ordered this week and the experience was terrible. The groceries were supposed to arrive between 7-9 p.m. We later learned that the order would arrive between 9-10 p.m. The only way we found out is by tracking the order. There was no alert or email. The order did not arrive by 10 p.m. I contacted the CHAT help center and they said the order was delayed. We went to bed and anticipated the order would arrive the next morning. It did not and there was no e-mail or text indicating the delay or when it would be rescheduled. I finally managed to get the order Cancelled using the Chat support but the tracking continued to state it was delayed but in progress. I did not received confirmation of the cancelled order for two days. They said it would take another 10 days for my credit card to receive the refund. My goodness. If there aren't enough delivery drivers, do NOT leave the time slots open. The delivery should work. Instacart is flawless. Come on --- catch up WalMart. read more

If and when I go to Walmart, it's usually this one because it's nicer and cleaner than those other nasty locations. I hate Walmart in general, and go to Walmart as little as possible. So today is a primary example of why. First, a Karen was backing out of her spot while I was driving slowly, but I honked the horn before she could hit my car. She got out and started yelling at me. I smiled and blew a kiss at her. That infuriated her. Second, I asked for assistance finding something and got four different answers. The other completely ignored me as if I didn't exist. The car repair service in this location is run by some unprofessional people. They changed my tires and ruined the alignment and refused to fix the alignment. Talked to the mechanic and told me to get it fixed in Firestone. It's a horrible experience. read more

I have been going to this Walmart forever. I even went when it was in its old location slightly east of 141. Would you believe some of the employees are still the same? I do like to see that... Theres a bald little manager named Josh who also does not know how to do his job. Paid for a service to be done and received the car in worse condition LOL. Had to go to a different shop and pay more to get their mess up fixed, tried to get a refund but no luck ( Josh said he cant give me one and accused me of doing the damage myself) he also said it was my fault and the service had been done right for the price point and the only reason i got it fixed now is because i spent more money. Walmart has got to do better with people and masks and having so many people being close together. It was super crowded and half the people wear masks but the other half have masks on but they pulled them down or they aren't covering their nose. The signs for which way to go aren't helpful because sometimes they are only posted in the middle of the aisle. Total wait time = 4 hours 44 minutes. I left work early today for this oil change. Arriving at 1246pm, my car stayed in that parking space until 5pm. My car wasn't finished until 530pm. I sat in the waiting area from the time I arrived until my car was ready. There was no working heat so I basically waited in a 35 degree fahrenheit waiting area. I made an online order, and realize it was the wrong item and tried to cancel it. I followed the protocol of emailing customer service and got an email stating they would get back to me within 24-48 hours. When I received the email I was informed that I went past the 2-hour cancellation time and they would not cancel my order. When I inform them I did request the cancellation within the lot of time they told me no I did not. I asked for return leave anyway and they told me that it would be very expensive on my part to send it back what's up with that!!! Turrible. Used the curbside pick up for groceries, they claimed to be out several of my essential items. I had to go in, masked up of course, and see for myself. Turns out they are LIARS. I found several of my items with ease. Would recommend literally any other Wal Mart over this one. rudest customer service workers I have ever experienced. After waiting 15 minutes to get through the line the First Lady whose name badge was facing in told me there was nothing she could do to help. Then I asked her to call the manager and she did and then pulled out her phone. Another lady, Brenda came to counter, and was even more rude than the First Lady. The pharmacy staff is incredibly rude. I have been searching for my prescription in stock for weeks and when asking if they have it in stock I was met with a short and rude response. Being short staffed is no reason to be a miserable human I have worked as the "short staff" for the last three years and would never speak to another person the way that Walmart pharmacy staff has spoken to me. read more

I guess I don't have a set expectation for this place because it's set up kind of like a warehouse- lots of stuff everywhere, pick up what you need, and go. This place is only deserving of 3 stars for a few reasons: 1.) Inventory is not always fully stocked or easily found. 2.) Store is dirty 3.) This is one of the nicer locations. They consistently carry my go to products for my various day to day needs. They have a good selection of items that some of the chain stores do not carry. One of my favorite items here is the Great Value brand bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Now the lines here are hit and miss. All around it's a pretty good one stop shop. read more

I have never had a great experience here. They never have enough check out lanes open. They never have what I need in stock. There always stock carts in isles, but there never anything on the shelves. There never anyone at the help desks in the different departments. I always have to go to the front of the store to ask a question, and when there is someone in the electronic department they are really rude. Once when we were checking out some games, and movies the cashier was just tossing them into the bags. It also seems like that most the employees there are socializing rather then working, or there's half of the staff outside taking a smoke break. Never use there bakery. They never get the order right. For us they have misspelled words on the cake and used different color icing then we requested. And their produce is never fresh, and it always is bruised or just not good for consumption. Stuff is never where it should be. Some of the isles are just really cluttered. Even their clearence isle is horrendous. Everything is just thrown up on the shelves. It looks like a goodwill. Their plants in the nursery are always dying. There leaves are brown or they are way over grown. I've also had a bad experience during Christmas season. When ever I have gotten Christmas lights here they never work. I always end up just returning them and either going to target or Lowe's, but half the time I don't even return them so I don't have to deal with there customer service. I get there and he said the proper information wasn't on the card (which it was because I went somewhere else after and they had NO trouble with the same card). Went to get my groceries. I'm 74 year old. After walking around a dirty and disorganized store, I started feeling badly at the back of the store. No employees were in sight. No place to sit down. After getting myself to the front of the store there was only one cashier with approximately 8 people in line ahead of me. Since I needed to get home and get medicine, I used a self check out that took me forever. However, the man that was watching the self service line was very polite and professional. I will re-up the stars for this Walmart, because their curbside grocery pickup service has been fantastic. It is easy, free, and worked by Walmart employees not gig-workers. The website and phone app both work great - place your order, schedule a pickup, and go. Walmart has a good selection of groceries - Lundberg and Nishiki rice, Korean seaweed, De Cecco pasta, Peet's coffee, Goya brand everything, good OJ - and the prices are great. In terms of fresh things: (1) Their fruit is mysteriously excellent; (2) Their vegetables are awful and overtly rotten; (3) Their meat is from big-ag feedlot suppliers. I was picking up scripts. Decided to see what else is in the store, because my script would be ready in 30 minutes. Lots of beautiful bedding. Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman) cookware and save-ware (for leftovers). Next to the greeting card department, I found an amazing grouping of candy molds, candy-making materials (color melts and chocolates). Fresh and refrigerated stuff you put on a fishing hook (I don't know what that's called. Bait?) Sleeping bags, tents, tires, movies, and there's a lots-clothing and shoes. Kelly one of your employees with short blond hair really helped me out. I was in the self checkout line and had scanned everything but a last pair of shoes didn't have a tag. She helped me find the numbers on the inside of shoe to scan in. I really appreciated her taking a few extra moments because she was very busy and it was crowded. I asked 4 different times for someone to be called to jewelry. Fifth time I said just send a manager over. One did show up but she was from another store and filling in. The Assistant manger who was with her just stood there. They did finally someone to come over to jewelry but it wasn't her department and she had been on vacation and couldn't find a box to put the watch in that I purchased for a gift.
