Alright - I've been here often enough to give my opinion, lol. Coming in from the West Coast, this is not a very strong store in terms of what is in stock. I know each store is based off of what is requested and sold, but generally, this is a meh store. Basic essentials - its great! But any and all the cool, yummy Asian snacks, poke - they are just not here. Parking is not bad here, and the gas station is never crazy busy. My husband's biggest issue here is with the food court lol. He says its unorganized but it seemed fine. read more

I love Costco! This location always seems busy but the lines seem to move rather quickly. The parking lot is huge and plan for a bit of a hike if it's the weekend. If you don't have health insurance, the pharmacy has really good prices. You can even get pet meds here. The prices are great on items like: HVAC air filters, extra virgin olive oil, frozen fish, cheese, protein drinks, dog treats and dog beds, and snacks. If you're having a big party the membership is worth it. They have all the party supplies you need. The gasoline is usually 20-30 cents cheaper a gallon than regular gas stations. My first trip to Costco as a member (and by myself) was definitely overwhelming. There's a lot going on, and I honestly didn't know where to start or what to expect really, but I was impressed by the prices and deals. The food samples were great, and there's a lot of variety I don't see in other stores. I love buying by the bulk of items that aren't perishable, but if I were a family of 4+, this store would even be more perfect for saving. It was super busy, but the checkout process moved fast. I can see why people love it! I'll need a few more visits to really get the hang of it, but overall, I am a Costco fan. read more

My wife has used Costco Hearing for 10+ years. They carry name brands and very reasonable prices. Also, Roy has been there the whole time providing friendly, caring & professional service at the St. Peter's Missouri store. It's nice to deal with the same person year after year. We definitely recommend you try Costco Hearing before you invest thousands at other hearing places, which in our experience, sometimes seem like you're dealing with a used car salesman. read more

I came in looking for a particular item, and Chris was an employee helping me. Chris was absolutely phenomenal which is the reason for the three stars. There was only a display item left, but he was able to let me purchase it for a discounted price and even went and got me a box to put it all in. However, when I got to the self check out, there was an employee I believe her name is Telle. I couldn't read her it because she had it covered up with her vest. When I scanned the item at self check out, she came up behind me, grabbed the cart,and said I had to go over to her kiosk because only she could ring it up due to it being a discounted price, was running over my children with the cart, trying to get them out of the way so she could move the cart over to her area and also taking off with the cart as my wallet was in there. Bargains are still found, but be careful about "bait & switch" as I experienced with Michelin Cross Climate tires on display & not sold or put on my vehicle... Make sure the name written matches the tire you want. Prescriptions (on hypertension medication) has me buying the full prescription vs just 30 day with insurance for the same amount. $1.50 hot dog and a lap around the sample stands with a drink has me hooked and coming back I just wish the I hadn't gotten excited with YouTube videos about the tires. Cheapest lunch in town! Huge hot dog and drink for under $2. Had a quick bite to eat then off to shopping down the aisles. This location is pretty clean and they have their shelves fully stocked. My two other go to bargins here are the rotisserie chicken for under $5 and a big bunch of bananas for under $2. If I have time I like to go down all of the aisles to see if they have Ny good deals from their ad or on clearance. read more

Bummer. This is now the closest Costco to my new home and after my first shopping pilgrimage, I am disappointed. I'll give them another try and hopefully they can win me over. I'll admit I was shopping the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and that could have been part of the reason of low stock and less then spectacular customer service. Upon entering, I was surprised to see they had the major three items from the early pandemic hoarding on the out of stock board. Lucky for me, I was not shopping for any of those items today. The lay-out of the store is different from what I am use to at the South County and West County locations. I did the best I could, maneuvering through the crowd. I found most of the items I was searching for and grabbed a couple of Christmas and birthday gifts as well. The biggest disappointment was when I checked out and saw they offered self-check out at this location. For me, that is where they lost the star. I'm a big no self-check out. However, I kinda did smile when I was carded for my booze. I guess my grey hair and wrinkles didn't give me away. I've been driving the few extra miles to my other Costco, but my neighbors and family are pushing me to give them another try, so I will. Costco...where have you been all my life? Okay, here's the deal. Hubby and I have debated joining Costco for twenty years. We always ended up saying we wouldn't go there enough, we don't buy in bulk, etc. Then two weeks ago I realized that because of Covid, we now buy in bulk. I usually buy three of everything now. One, because I'm afraid of another pandemic and two, I'm afraid I won't be able to find the items I want because of shipping problems due to Covid. So, we decided to finally go check out Costco. We were guided towards the checkin counter to talk to someone about visiting. We weren't even there five minutes and hubby said, go ahead and sign us up! We went with the Executive Membership. We got our cards and off we went. It was our first time, so we were tentative. To be honest, I was overwhelmed. This store is enormous. By the time we got through most of the store, I was exhausted and we didn't even get to the pharmacy area. We had a few items in our gigantic cart. I feel like a little kid pushing it, because it comes up to my shoulders. Yes I know...I'm short. We checked out and headed home. I was kind of thinking we would never go very often, but it was a very nice store. Fast forward two weeks. We decide to head to Costco because we needed lots of stuff. I'm kind of dreading it because the store is so big and it's so overwhelming. Once we get started with our gigantic cart we both start to feel giddy with excitement. We need this and we need that. We are grabbing stuff and soon realize why the carts are so big! Suddenly, I am in shopping nirvana. There are my favorite cookies! He found his favorite granola bars. The fresh baked bread looks amazing! I got a big bundle of bananas for like a dollar fifty. I got a big bag of apples, tangerines, broccoli, carrots, salad. The whipping cream comes in half gallon containers! Eggs come in two dozen containers....yes, I'm always running out of eggs! We bought so much meat at a great price. I put half of it in the freezer. We filled up one cart and had to go get another one! I got a huge case of natural spring water for like five dollars! Hubby got a case of coke. I found dog treats too! Hubby found Levis for 29.99! I found some lucky brand pajamas! It was like a free for all! We still didn't make it to the health and beauty department. With two full carts we thought we better stop. We are now Costco Veterans! We get it! I wish we had taken the leap sooner, but I'm so happy we are members now! I can not say enough about how great this store really is! It has everything you could possibly want and then some! We were going to get gas at the Costco gas station, but there were like five cars in each lane. Maybe next time. We were Costco members for years, and at first we used it quite a bit. When this location first opened, my husband got a free household membership for our first year, through work, and we used it a lot in the beginning. Gradually though, I realized that a lot of the food items, such as produce, come in such large quantities that our family can't consume it all before it spoils, so I had to start being more careful about what I bought there. Also, not everything is a great deal, so you really have to know your prices. It's wonderful for gasoline, so I always tried to take advantage of the low prices and fill up whenever I went there. Then the free year was up, so I had to start paying annually. That was fine, because I hoped to use it enough that it would pay for itself. After a couple of years, they started pushing HARD for customers to switch to an executive membership, which is significantly more expensive, but it gives you 2% back on all of your purchases. There was one employee in particular who gave me such a pushy, hard sell that I started to get uncomfortable going in the store. Finally, she insisted on looking up my account to see just how much I "could have saved" the previous year, and it looked like I possibly did use the membership enough to justify the more expensive membership. Since it was starting to become obvious that this woman was never going to stop, I finally caved. At that time, the original membership was $50 per year, but I let them upgrade me to executive, which brought it up to, I believe, $100 per year. I saved my receipts and, at the end of the year, I looked back to see if the membership was paying for itself. It wasn't, so I downgraded my membership back to the "gold star" tier, bringing it back to $50 per year, and it went on that way for a few more years. Luckily, they haven't had anyone doing the hard sell like that in years, so things were fine for awhile. Over the years, I began to notice that I was using the membership less and less, so when they increased the cost to $65 for gold star and $130 for executive, I decided it really didn't make sense for our family anymore. When it came up for renewal again this year, I opted to let it lapse. They sent a few emails reminding me that my membership was about to lapse, which I ignored, because I was letting it lapse on purpose. I threw my card away, and thought that was the end of it, but it wasn't. A month or two after the card was supposed to have lapsed, I was balancing my checkbook online, and I saw a $65 charge from Costco for membership renewal. Apparently, they go through the motions with all of the emails to indicate that it will lapse automatically if you don't authorize it's renewal, but the truth is they just wait a month or two and charge you for it just like you did authorize it. I had to contact the company and tell them that I failed to renew on purpose because I didn't want the membership anymore, and that I was unaware that their practice was to just take it upon themselves to remove money from my bank account without notifying me. I was able to straighten it out, and I eventually got my money back, but it was extremely frustrating. I think the most frustrating moment may have been when the customer service rep asked me for the membership number on my card. You mean the card that I threw away, because I wasn't renewing? That card? Yeah, I couldn't tell you what number it had on it. She was able to help me anyway, but the whole experience was frustrating. read more

Today, Thursday, August 21, 2025, went to Costco with my son, between the two of us spent about $400 on food. Had a great shopping experience, decided to not use self check out and stood in line for a little while because they were busy, no big deal. Upfront, we told our cashier that we had two orders and we put my son's order up first because he had more. Another person came behind the cashier and started to grab the buggy that still had my order in it. I think her intent was to have the cashier scan all the items we left in the buggy. I stopped her and said hang on a minute. That's a separate order. She rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I proceeded to place my items on the belt. The cashier asked my son to see his Costco card again, which he happily gave to her and she scanned it again and then began scanning my items. I stopped her and said hang on that's my order not his. This made her angry. My son looked at her and said there's nothing to be so frustrated about it's no big deal, to which she also rolled her eyes. Costco, are you showing your employees during morning huddle how they should should roll their eyes at customers? Do they need to all take a nap mid morning and have a juice box? This is unacceptable behavior by adults. If you really want your employees like that to be happy, how about if you begin using scan and go like Sam's and then you can fire all the cashiers. This is not the first time we have encountered snarky or angry or frustrated cashiers in Costco but it needs to stop. It's becoming the norm. Do better Costco. #costco read more

Love shopping at Costco. Always buy paper goods there and have for years. Recently their toilet paper bundles of 30 rolls might have 6-7 rolls that are like tissue paper . Real thin single ply that you can almost see thru. read more

I have used Costco gas in many places across the country and at this particular place It's clean and was well attended with staff available to help you in no matter what type of situation you may need. Costco in general has very good covid-19 practices in all their staff were masked as well. The quality of the gas is excellent especially for the price point that they ask for and if you need to use premium gas it's a really good value. I recommend using Costco not only for the quality of their goods and their gas but how they treat their staff and give them a livable wage with healthcare and benefits I always want to support a large retail Box store that does that type of thing read more

Went into the store today 2/10. I went to purchase the Kirkland virgin olive oil. The sign on the endcap said 2199. When I checked out, it scanned at 2499. A checker went to verify it and she said there are two signs 21.99 and then she said 23.99 and then she said 24.99. The sign said 21.99, the online app says 21.99. When I went to your customer service, they wouldn't honor it. The customer service person asked if I want to speak to a manager, I declined, because that also would would have been a waste of my time just to have someone tell me no. The only bad thing I can say is how miss vesna d treated me and my family. she was really rude and kept questioning me about my membership i don't appreciate false assumptions! She scanned my card and checked my ID especially when she didn't question anyone else who was sorry to make this about race but the white folks . Lines can be long but where can you save $.20 or more per gallon. Their hoses are long and you can go on either side. There's always an attendant or two that can help out if needed. read more

Be careful with their tire center. I drove up to the tire center on my spare to have my flat tire replaced. My tire was in the hatch of my car along with my jack. They had put my carpeting and such back in place, but, they neglected to put my spare tire and my jack back in my vehicle. When I called to let them know, the couldn't have cared any less. Make sure if you drive up on your spare that it's replaced before you leave. I know have to try to find somewhere to get a replacement. This took place at the St. Peters, MO location. read more

This pertains only to the fueling area...I haven't actually shopped at the warehouse before. The gas pumps are always busy, with a long line of cars each pump when I come. Typically, I visit on weekdays in the early afternoon or smack in the middle of a weekend day. I've never seen a pump not be functional here and there's always an employee or two around to help if you need it. Be forewarned: you, of course, need to be a member to pump your gas here. Note that they don't take cash; you need to use a credit card or debit card (entering your PIN number). Aside from that, this is your average pull through, fuel up and go gas station, with 12 pumps available. read more

The staff is insane. I'm sick and pregnant so my husband went here for me, mind you, I use HIS debit card every time I come. They gave him a hard time and wouldn't let him check out with my membership card so I added him to the account too. They still made a fuss about it and said next time get your own card. ITS THE SAME HOUSEHOLD. ITS THE SAME BANK ACCOUNT. Honestly outrageous. I'm quite sure I got a "strike" on my account for that because god forbid my HUSBAND goes to the grocery store for me. This was my first time to do the "senior shopping" hour from 8-9 and it was so organized! I only waited in line about 10 minutes and they had us go in 15 people at a time and had carts ready for us that were wiped down! As soon as we walked in the toilet paper was right there with Costco employees putting them in our cart if we wanted it-best thing was "one" per customer! Thank goodness! Went to self checkout and ended up receiving special treatment because me and my family are black. The employees went out of their way to make sure they scanned in every item in our cart FOR US in self checkout. As if we were trying to steal or something. It was ridiculous and they did not treat any other costumers this way. It took everything in us not to raise hell in there the way we were being treated. But being the bigger people we kept our cool and didn't make a big fuss out of the racist actions of the staff. read more

I realize these days that efficiency, courtesy or value aren't things provided by either employee or employers. Usually Costco is one of the few places that can't be critiqued. But the insurance quote I received was absolutely ridiculous & the time it took to get a response, whether online or by phone, was even more absurd. If you can't provide decent service & make sure other insurers are pricing semi-honestly, then don't get in that line of work, your reputation is with more than the fee you generate. I love shopping at Costco, appreciate the large selection of organic products. I see how happy the employees are and thought it would be an awesome place to work. However, I am disappointed that Costco is requiring shoppers to where facemasks in order to shop. I understand Corporate is mandating this following CDC guidelines, however, this mandate is infringing upon our rights as Americans. This 'pandemic' has taken less lives this year than the 2019-20 pneumonia/flu of 2020 (60k, vs 80k). This is even stated on CDC's website. Costco will see a mass exodus of customers cancelling memberships and refunds due to those customers if this mandate is not reversed. read more
