The old office where I had been a patient for around 13 years was horrible with patient care and treating people in a kind manner. I just don't think that flies anymore in this day and age. Dr. Weigel is very knowledgeable about contact lenses, the price points, the advantages and disadvantages of many different brands. It seems he keeps up with what is current in the market. I have astigmatism and my prescription is not minor, and he was willing to work with me on what contact lenses suit my needs. He is comprehensive and kind. The optical shop in my opinion has several frames to choose from that are fashionable and current. I am very happy with the care received, selection of eyewear, office staff communication, and level of customer care. :)

My prescriptions varied by the doctor and the day. Once I hit THAT AGE and needed bifocals, it was worse. So I found Overland on Yelp and realized I had driven by it a zillion times without even realizing it. The staff are very friendly and prompt. They usemore advanced equipment than the other place, too. Dr. Lueckenhoff is great. He was very helpful in understanding what I was unhappy with in my last set of contacts and is currently working with me to find the right contact lenses for me. Meanwhile, I have a new pair of glasses that are very nice and prescription-perfect. I would have no qualms recommending anyone to go here (except my ex. He can find his own place!) August 2018: I just took my 80+ yr-old father in for an eye exam and glasses. He was way overdue. The team did a great job attending to his needs, helping him find glasses similar to his current pair, and working with his insurance. After the exam I was informed that my co-pay was $49. For some people on Medicaid a $49 co-pay could mean eating Ramen noodles for 2 weeks. We found service to be fast, professional and friendly. The store needs a little TLC (the exam chair's pleather was completely peeled off), and yes, as another Yelper mentioned, the doctor smokes and he does reek of it and strong cologne doesn't mask it. While we were there, several other people came in and were helped in a friendly and professional manner. We would go back if needed.

Overall the service for my exam was fine but when it came down to buying glasses the sales tactics were obvious and horrible. When I started to question the costs I was given diff excuses trying to justify why my glasses were sooo expensive, even when having vision insurance. They told me that buying the same glasses with my insurance would cost me more based on the funny math used for the lens and bundling pricing. Highly recommend taking your prescription to another company or online to save you a lot of money! Sad!

The young lady ignored me twice as I stood directly in front of her asking simple questions to assess how I needed to move forward with potentially purchasing frames, in which prompted another worker to ask if I received an answer from her. Overall, I had an appointment, received an eye examination , and purchased a nice pair of frames. But, I will not utilize this office moving forward for my family's or my own appointments.

I called the store an hour or two after I Ieft, they said they needed to get some approval before they could fix the matter. They eventually submitted it to the correct insurance, but their new invoice does not show the amount I already paid and they're asking me to pay $238.27 more. I've had numerous texts and calls trying to get this straightened out over the last 3 months. It's still unresolved. Because of their incompetence in handling the insurance and billing, I will go elsewhere for my eyecare in the future
