A hidden gem! Right next to McAllister's Deli and yet I never noticed it. I had been going to…read moreClarkson Eyecare for several years, but was never completely satisfied. My prescriptions varied by the doctor and the day. Once I hit THAT AGE and needed bifocals, it was worse. So I found Overland on Yelp and realized I had driven by it a zillion times without even realizing it. The staff are very friendly and prompt. They usemore advanced equipment than the other place, too. Dr. Lueckenhoff is great. He was very helpful in understanding what I was unhappy with in my last set of contacts and is currently working with me to find the right contact lenses for me. Meanwhile, I have a new pair of glasses that are very nice and prescription-perfect. I would have no qualms recommending anyone to go here (except my ex. He can find his own place!) August 2018: I just took my 80+ yr-old father in for an eye exam and glasses. He was way overdue. The team did a great job attending to his needs, helping him find glasses similar to his current pair, and working with his insurance. He didn't think he needed new glasses until the doctor showed him the before and after of his prescription!

All of the staff at Overland Optical were extremely nice and very helpful. Dr. Brown examined my…read moreeyes after her technician, Joe, checked for eye diseases and took measurements and pictures. This was one of the most thorough, high tech exams I have ever had, including ones from my Ophthalmologists. Dr. Brown took her time answering all of my questions, and even looked up several products on the Internet that she felt would be beneficial for me to use. She has a very gracious and calming way of handling her patients, and she used color computer photography of both my eyes to better explain what was going on. I highly recommend her! Karen W.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Brad Byergo of Midwest Eye Associate for at least 5 years…read morenow. We first selected Dr. Byergo from our insurance list, and the fact they have two offices in our area. However, we have a friend that worked for some very top notch eye doctors in St. Louis that remembered Dr. B from when he interned with this particular group. That was the primary and final factor in our decision. He came highly recommended and we quickly learned why. Since becoming patients we have received excellent treatment not only from Dr. B but his staff as well. If you at looking for quality then this practice is an excellent choice. They have a very good selection of frames and contacts and they always make sure you have exactly what you need. I often describe them as a sit down restaurant versus going to a fast food place. It might take a little more time however it is worth it. Without reservation my family and I recommend Midwest Eye Associates.

Overall the service for my exam was fine but when it came down to buying glasses the sales tactics were obvious and horrible. When I started to question the costs I was given diff excuses trying to justify why my glasses were sooo expensive, even when having vision insurance. They told me that buying the same glasses with my insurance would cost me more based on the funny math used for the lens and bundling pricing. Highly recommend taking your prescription to another company or online to save you a lot of money! Sad!

This is a follow-up review…read more This time the review is for me. I was very satisfied with my Clarkson experience. They were able to fit me with glasses, troubleshoot why I have had chronic nausea from my old glasses and figure out my confusing insurance information all while smiling. The prices are fair, the selection is great and the staff is knowledgeable. You can't ask for a better optical experience. I am more than happy with my new glasses, and I have NO NAUSEA! I have found my new eye care provider.

The main reason for the lower rating is simply because of the customer service provided by one of the members from the from desk staff. There were slight indiscriminate indiscretions noted from interacting with her that left me feeling an overwhelming sense of feeling like I received inferior service. The young lady ignored me twice as I stood directly in front of her asking simple questions to assess how I needed to move forward with potentially purchasing frames, in which prompted another worker to ask if I received an answer from her. Overall, I had an appointment, received an eye examination , and purchased a nice pair of frames. But, I will not utilize this office moving forward for my family's or my own appointments.
