I sent a request through the portal 3 times. I decided to try one more time and someone called me back but the first available appointment was 4 1/2 months out. I've tried to make an appointment in the past that was over a year and they wanted to bill me a fee as a "new patient" since it had been over a year. I also was billed for an office visit 2 years after the date of service. You need to accommodate at least 1 1/2 hours for an appointment. Based off the combination of these things, I've decided to find a new doctor, it is yet to be determined how quickly I'll get my records.

While I believe the equipment is good at diagnosing the severity of your condition, I haven't been able to get any real answers or any new positive changes from the doctor on what will help. I feel stuck here with too many unknowns. The one thing I don't like about the office is the wait times. My time there is normally several hours and you're moved from one room to another about 3-4 different times. When your glasses or contacts are taken off it makes it hard moving around to so many rooms so much. I wish they sold glasses at this location and I could make it a one stop shop, but it's more about optics scans, photos of the eye and vision testing.

May 22 I had an appointment with the full eye exam. Since I was last there (and they did find my earlier eye appointment situations), my eyes have not changed. Dr. Tsai said my eyes have settled down. She did the full eye exam, and all is well. Dr. Tsai is an incredibly approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and patient ophthalmologist. P.S. The address is 1040 N. Mason Road (and signage indicates that), but it's in the Medical Office Building #2, second floor, on the campus of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.

I left my ophthalmologists office this year in a January to come to the office of Dr. Weigel. All…read moreof the office staff is extremely friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and courteous. The old office where I had been a patient for around 13 years was horrible with patient care and treating people in a kind manner. I just don't think that flies anymore in this day and age. Dr. Weigel is very knowledgeable about contact lenses, the price points, the advantages and disadvantages of many different brands. It seems he keeps up with what is current in the market. I have astigmatism and my prescription is not minor, and he was willing to work with me on what contact lenses suit my needs. He is comprehensive and kind. The optical shop in my opinion has several frames to choose from that are fashionable and current. I am very happy with the care received, selection of eyewear, office staff communication, and level of customer care. :)
