I have been going to Dr. Goerrs for years. Not for glasses but for dry eye. I have to tell about a couple of experiences with him. A few years ago my daughter, who was a patient at the time, was in a softball tournament in Kansas City. She forgot to bring extra daily contacts with her so I called Dr. Goerrs office on a Saturday morning when they were closed. He knew another doctor in KC and gave them her prescription so we could go to his office and pick them up. This past weekend I was getting ready for my grandson's birthday party and something scratched my eye. I was walking around with one hand covering my eye. I called Dr. Goerrs on his emergency line. He calls me back shortly after. First he apologizes for not answering my call but he just got off a plane in St. Louis and he hasn't even gotten his luggage yet. I tell him what happened and he sent out a prescription to my pharmacy before leaving the airport. We picked it up right away and I could start using it before the party started. I've only seen Dr. Goerss, but have been seeing him for several years. I'm extremely pleased with his care. He's always very courteous and friendly, and always explains things thoroughly. I never feel like he's rushing or not listening to my questions or concerns. I also appreciate that he explains the various options that are available to me. The staff and assistants are friendly and helpful. They give a lot of samples (eye drops, wetting solution, contacts), which I appreciate! The adjoining eyeglass shop has a nice selection and the staff is helpful when trying to pick out glasses. The only downside is that the office is small and a bit cramped and the parking lot is small. I've had to park across the street, which isn't really a big deal. The doctor's are great - Keep you eyes on the insurance billing. It took several calls and a lot of time to clear up the billing issues. While the bills were eventually cleared up, I expect the doctor's office to be more knowledgeable about the insurance than I am. Also not the best practice to dialate someone's eyes and then ask them to pick out glasses. read more

This is my third year of visiting Iverson-Tomasino-Goerss for an eye exam. This is the first time, I haven't had the same optometrist and only because the one I used to go to has moved along with her husband out of town. To me, that is one of the best things they do, continuity of care. You see the same people all the time. They make notes and look them over. My wife and I were both remarking that we had the most thorough eye exam we have ever had this time. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The only real downside is they don't have a lot of parking. There always seems to be enough, but sometimes it is a little bit tight. read more

I've been a customer for the last 10 years and have never had such thorough eye care during my almost 35 years of wearing glasses. Dr. Ladd is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The entire team is fun to interact with and extremely competent. As an engineer I appreciate the fact that every year that I visit, they have yet another gadget or gizmo to insure that I am being evaluated with the latest eye care technology. Absolute WORST optical experience of my life. I am told last September of 2017, that my prescription needed to be "tweaked" so I can see better. Well I could not see at all out of them and they had to be sent back and guess what I still cannot see out of them. A complete Waist of money and they were not cheap, and I am still wearing my original pair and see Great. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else; you have lots of choices in the St. Louis, Missouri area besides Iverson-Tomasino-Goerss Eyecare, especially if they tell you that your prescription needs to be tweaked. Great and thorough doctors. Friendly Staff. Will cover your insurance and options for you. Nice new facility. Glasses prices on high side so don't expect the cheap two for one type place, these are real pros. My main doctor is Dr. Tomasino, however, in emergency not afraid to see any of them in here. I have been with them for years and have even brought or referred patients who had very difficult eye situations and those persons could not believe the difference in care and stayed with them also. read more
